ISE quickly and easily took care of the problem and she got the car back excited that after all that time it was driving as if new.

They are so good and I have used them for over 30 years. They do good work, are reasonable, and are exceptionally honest people.

My daughter called and made an appointment with ISE so she took her car in to see why her engine check light was on. They proceeded to check out her entire car to see what the problem was. They replaced her battery and changed the oil in her car since the wrong type of oil was used from the previous garage. They finished the work very quickly and she was very happy with the work. The price was very reasonable.

I was extremely happy with the service I received. They were able to work me in and did great work. It is a high class organization. He didn’t do work that he wasn’t familiar with, but instead referred me to the dealership who could.

Craig, the shop owner answered the phone when I called the week before the 4th of July. He asked what symptoms my car was showing and told me he thought it was probably the water pump, but if I brought it over that afternoon he'd look and listen to it. He was clear that no one would be able to work on it at that time but at least we'd have an idea of what could be wrong. I drove over to his shop and he took a look very quickly, confirmed what he suspected, suggested how to drive until it was fixed (very little, and only short distances) and then gave me an appointment for a week later. That was the only downside, he is so in demand that it took a week for him to get to my car. The next week I discovered why it took so long to see his mechanics. His estimate was clear, accurate and reasonable. The work was done so quickly after he had the car, he said that it was running well all around (which it has ever since his repair), and he even replaced a brake light I didn't know was out at no extra charge. Honest and direct, the service here is terrific. I have found a mechanic, no small feat.

We had just driven to LA from NY and had put a lot of money into the car before the trip only to arrive and have the car start making rattling noises. We took it in for and oil change and to get things checked over. We have a Subaru and Craig doesn't do extensive work on Subarus so he advised us about the cause of the noise, rusty exhaust system and other repairs on the horizon (a new clutch) and spent time talking through what might be worth it on a 1999 car and referred us to a great muffler shop in the neighborhood (celebrity). All in all very honest.

They are very good. It is hard to get an appointment with them they are so good. It is a "mom and pop" type operations. I am pleased with the service they have provided me and I plan on taking my car back there soon.

They are always reasonable and fair. The only downside is that it is a little far for me to go.

After being ripped off one too many times at the Ford dealership across the road, I found Ise Automotive through Yelp.com. I am so glad to have found them. Craig and his co-workers are honest guys who have run this neighborhood shop for years. Craig listened carefully to all my questions and observations about noises and performance, and drove around the block several times with me to see for himself. He was always careful to explain why I would need things and never in a patronizing fashion. Whereas the dealership wanted to charge me $100 to replace a fuse, Craig did it for free. I don't think he would ever over-charge me or do work that was un-necessary. While I was there, a little old lady shuffled in and was greeted as a friend. She left her keys on the counter and said, "Oil change and whatever it needs!" and shuffled out again. That's the kind of place it is. Good neighborhood people you can trust.

They were very nice and they were very prompt. They made recommendations about NOT fixing it which most mechanics won't do, he was very honest, which I liked very much.

They also noticed that the tires I'd bought from another company a year and a half earlier were mis-sized. I had 3 tires at one size and the fourth at another. They also cleaned my battery terminals and replaced the positive terminal bolt and told me my battery was good as new. I love these guys. After 3 visits with my car, the total labor cost was $173.50 and parts were $81.32. At a dealer this job could have easily run into the thousands. Not to mention when the problem could be anywhere along the fuel system from the gas cap through the engine and back through the exhaust, they could have easily told me they had to do hours and hours of labor looking for the problem and I would have believed them. They are the best. They are crazy honest. And I get the sense that they're as pissed off about all the crooked mechanics in the world as the rest of us. Just the best. Take your car to them and feel 100% secure that what needs to be done, will be.

Just wanted to update this report -- yesterday (10/02/07), KNBC, in an update to a prior "sting" show they did, called Ise Automotive "one of LA's top garages."

I have used the company for 5 years. There are two brothers who own and operate the business. I refer them to others as they are very honest, do not charge for every minor repair and give a thorough explanation. The cost of the parts was $800. Unfortunately, I do not recall the cost of labor. Therefore, I noted zero in the company's service price.
