I called to book an appointment and the lady on the phone was super helpful and responsive. They were able to come a day later and I was given a 3 hour window (always kind of a bummer). The technician arrived 20 minutes after the third hour (kind of a bummer but no big deal). He quickly assessed the problem and, after double checking with me that it was okay for him to proceed, hosed down the coils and fans and added Freon to the unit, he just left. Hopefully, everything ends up working again. I'd definitely call this company in the future.

Very well. The consultant who came to our home, Mr. Petrossian, was very knowledgeable, and he was easy to reach by phone when I had questions throughout and after the job. The two-man crew was professional, answered my questions, and did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend this company.

Their prices are out of line with other estimates. In view of my long term relationship with this company (they have service three of my properties over a 20 year period) I submitted to them my other estimate in the hope that we could negotiate a more reasonable price. Not only was the person I talked with on the phone unwilling to negotiate, he was rude. So rude, in fact, that I have decided to move all of my business to the new company.

The bid, however, was very high (nearly 2x in some cases) relative to several other bidders (but not the highest) quoting the same equipment. Price was my main factor in not selecting them for the work.

I called three Angie's List companies that all had an A rating, but Brody Pennel had the nicest and most knowledgeable phone representative, had the shortest wait time for an appointment (we got one in less than a week), AND gave the cheapest estimate. The service guy who came to the house was polite and thorough and honest. They did exactly what I hoped they'd do - I am completely satisfied.

This was a big job and I was extremely happy with the result. I was given an original quote, which was similar to other quotes I had received in the past. The person who came to do the quote (Souren Petrossian) was very knowledgeable and looked at a lot of the construction details of my house before describing the best system for me (other contractors did not spend nearly as much time or ask such detailed questions). Once the contract was signed and the job begun, the crew discovered that changes were required to make the new equipment fit the space, and they did not charge me any extra for this work, and it was not a small change. They had to lift the entire furnace up into the ceiling of my garage. Edwin was the lead person on my crew, and he was very clean and careful in my house. He had at least 1 person working with him each day, and at the end of each day he completely cleaned my garage and put all his equipment outside and out of sight for the next day's work, even when I told him he could leave it all in the garage. John Felix was the installation foreman on my job, and he came to the house each day to check progress and answer any questions. Everyone was extremely professional and answered all my questions and explained all details and functions of the system. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, and intend to use them for any needs I have in the future.

I had to wait a few days for an appointment but it was worth it. They were very professional and friendly. Duke Armstrong was a great technician. I had trouble with my AC last year and will be calling them back for that work and will probably get a yearly service contract with them.

The heater, which is on the roof, started making a very weird banshee type sound so after looking in Angie's List I called the highly rated Brody Pennel Co. and they came out, spent an hour and a half checking over the heater, oiling a few parts, and coming to the conclusion that although the heater is old it is still working OK. He suggested a yearly maintenance and buying some CO2 detectors (he said rather than buy them from him I could buy them much more cheaply at a hardware store). Juan was an excellent representative of the company and an able technician also with the ability to discuss the situation clearly with me. And after all that time and work still only charged the $79. I couldn't have been happier. I have previously had a company work on the heater and was very unhappy with them. Just for kicks I looked them up on Angie's List to see that they had an F rating. No wonder.

It was great. We called a bunch of places Saturday morning, none of whom could set an appointment to come out until Monday or Tuesday. Brody-Pennell said that if something freed up sooner, they would call us and sure enough, at about 1:30pm, they called and said they'd had a cancellation and a technician could come in half an hour. He came on time, inspected and did all work in less than an hour. Very professional, courteous (and sympathetic to the fact that our house was freezing cold!)

I smelled gas when I turned on my furnace the first time this winter and called the gas company. The gas man told me a duct was not connected and I needed to call a heating company. The Brody-Pennell service man came promptly as scheduled, climbed through a small trap door to reach my inconveniently-located furnace and hooked up the duct. When he had me test the unit, we still smelled gas. He climbed back up and told me I had a cracked fire box, and flames were rolling out. It was not repairable and I needed to replace the furnace. That afternoon a sales representative came out, inspected the furnace and recommended a replacement. I was able to keep my original ducting so I only had to replace the furnace itself. 3 days later the new furnace was installed.

Brody made two visits. The first visit cost $79 for the service call The technician diagnosed that the HVAC unit had almost no freon and that a leak had occurred. Brody re-filled the freon (at no charge) and then scheduled a second visit in order to perform the necessary work to find the leak. That visit occurred one week later and cost $315. The leak was fixed in less than two hours. Both technicians were responsive, professional, friendly, and explained everything in detail. They even put shoe covers on their feet when they entered my home!

The only complaint I have with them was that they didn t clean up well after themselves. They were a little bit messy in there working with the plaster and they put registers in wrong places. They were not real good in returning my calls to come back and take care of it either. We felt confident and they did a good job though on the actual work. The clean up and follow up was just not good.
