They came out to help service our dish washer because it was not working correctly. It took them not time at all to fix the job and he refused to take any money for the job. It was great to see someone that didn't try to over charge for a service that could be easily handled.

I saw the deal online and I called the company before I purchased the BD and they assured me they service my area. Then I went ahead & purchased the deal. I then called to schedule the appointment and spoke to who I believe was the owner with the last name Santore. I made an appointment for the next morning and I gave him my address. I just received a call from the provider it was a girl. She said they cannot come out because they do not service my area. I mentioned the two guys I previously spoke to saying that they do service my area. She sounded indignant and said there are no guys that ever answer the phones, they only had two girls. I told her I remember specifically that I spoke to a man with the last name Santore. I am a pretty prudent person and before I purchase any Big Deal I call to make sure they can do the project and service my area. I verified twice that they had my address for service. I found this to be very strange and confusing. We did not get services done and requested a refund.

After I subnitted a negative report about the Action Services Handyman not showing up to fix the thermostat he installed and keeping my lederly mother waiting an entire day in the cold, I called the company and they agreed to send out a heating expert at no charge. The heating guy actually came an hour early. He said the problem was in the furnace and it would cost $1600 to replace what he said was a burnt out sensor. He got it to come back on, but we told him we would wait until be got a couple of other estimates before spending that much. I think the price was pretty high for a senor part in a wall furnace. Also, I think the handyman should have test the thermostat a couple of times before leaving so that my mom would not have had to spend two nights in the cold. Once the heating guy made his temporary fix the furnace would not turn off, so mom call the gas company and they came out on an emergency call on Thanksgiving morning to check out the furnace. GOD bless them! The Gas company guy adjusted the furnace and he said he did not see anything wrong with it. It now works and the thermostat turns off and on. The best part is my senior citizen mom did not have to pay $1600 to get her heat during this winter cold spell.

I originally ranked this company handyman's service an "A" across the board, even though he brought a 5 ft. ladder to change the bulbs on the 12 ft. ceiling. I told the company the ceiling height a week in advance. However, he was very patient and polite with my mom and he did a good job on her small jobs. However, the new thermostat he installed stopped working later that same night. She called the company three times the following day asking for someone to please come back to fix the thermostat, and saying she was cold. It is winter! They kept saying the handyman was on his way or he would be there within an hour. Finally, they said he would be there between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. He never showed up! When mom called back at 5 p.m. the company was closed and no one had the courtesy to call her to explain apologize or make an appointment to get someone out the next day. It is unconscionable that the Action Services Company left a frail senior citizen without heat overnight, and lied to her all day after they had been paid. I can not believe that the company only has one handyman in the entire company and no one takes responsibility for faulty workmanship. I only hope that they have some grain of human decency and send someone out to repair the thermostat before Thanksgiving.

I purchased a "Big Deal" on 11/10/2011 for a kitchen faucet replacement by Action Services Inc. for $89. This was my experience. 1) I called to make an appointment and the receptionist was very polite, energetic and made a service appt for the next day between 8 and 12noon on 11/17/2011. I was not told that another phone call was going to be made to confirm our appointment. 2) I was home all day taking care of my 2 month old twins and was by myself with them from 8:30-10:30. 3) My wife came home an answered my ringing telephone and found Action services on the phone apparently very upset that I had not picked up my telephone. Per my wife the woman on the phone was very rude. The re-scheduled for between 1pm and 4pm. 4) A service man arrived and began installing my kitchen faucet. 5) I was told that the job could not be completed and that a piece of pipe that I had never heard of would need to be replaced and it would cost $89.00 extra. 6) I asked why it needed to be replaced and specifically asked if something was broken. 7) I was told that the two connections from the wall water supply to the faucet were different sizes and the plumber only had a connector for one of these. He told me that with the supplies that he had on hand he could replace the water supply piece from the wall but it would cost $89.00 for parts and labor. 8) I asked why he couldn't buy the connector piece that he used on the other connection (approximately $5.00). I was told that it would take too much time. 9) I told him I would do it myself.10) He had me fill out a photocopied angie's list review while he stood next to me (not an unbiased way to review a company). 10) He then stated that he didn't like to leave a job without checking for leaks. 11) Then he left. 12) I bought and installed the connector myself without any leaks ($4.50). The connection that the plumber installed leaked and I had to return to the hardware store to fix it myself (another $4.50)

Plumber, was great, but wouldn't fix sink and tub fixtures, because they were too old and parts are not available.

After rescheduling 3x (their reschedule, not mine) the man came & was very polite & thorough.

Frank was prompt, friendly and performed the service quickly.

The plumber was courteous. First thing out of his mouth after I showed him the toilet was "What exactly are you expecting from this visit?". He then explained that the coupon wasn't clearly worded. He was nice, fast and friendly but I would never recommend a dishonest company or use them again.

Once we had the kitchen cabinets emptied, work was begun. One crew arrived to remove the discarded cabinets and the following week, work inside the house began in earnest. The cabinets were being constructed while the removal process was proceeding. When everything was ready, the new cabinets arrived on a Monday and work continuted through conclusion on Thursday. The crews were courteous, worked without interruption, and were professional in every way. They hauled off all of the mess, their equipment, and obviously knew their trade. John supervised and was constantly in touch to meet our every need. It was a pleasure working with John and his company from start to finish.

Action Services called as a follow-up to a previous job they had completed for me. During the initial visit when a tankless water heater was installed, I mentioned that I was thinking about installing a water softener. Action Service contacted me and offered the water softener with no installation charge. I purchased the water softener and scheduled installation. Gil arrived at the expected time. He installed the device in about half an hour.
