It went fine, the only thing I didn't like is I had to purchase the parts myself ahead of time. Even something like ice maker tubing, I was to purchase in advance. I understood that I would be paying additional and a full retail price but I was instructed to get all the parts first.

He actually wasn't able to perform some of the work but gave a good diagnosis and then worked diligently on a clogged drain.

He spent 20 minutes to clear the drain. He was clearly disappointed that there were no other issues to be tended to. I know that these "deals" are often loss leaders to get additional work. He cleaned the drain and packed his stuff and left. Job well done.

Not going to answer this beyond previouis comments. They showed up, talked to me, did the work, cleaned up, warned me of a drippy value (only when closed for the few minutes) and left with all of us happy.

My husband and I were extremely concerned with a leak from a broken clean-out that was dumping water from the bathroom to the outside of the house. We were limited in our funds to repair it. We bought the "Big Deal" for a 2 hour plumber for $89 dollars. We were asked to send pictures so they can determine the problem before arriving to the location so they wouldn't use part of the 2 hours to solve the problem. So instead the plumber came and he informed us that there were2 ways possible to fix it: one was breaking the stucco from the house to get to the location so they can replace the old clean out by repiping (long term solution and the one they would do). It was going to be costly. Instead, we asked for simpler solutions--we had no money -- over800 dollars. We were ok with a non long term solution for now until we had the funds. So the plumber heard our concerns and suggested to buy a wing nob from the nearest Home Depot and to screw it from the clean-out. Because there was a chance it wouldn't work, we had to do it. If it didn't work, we had to get the work done one way or another. he idea worked and it has worked well since it was screwed in..

It went very well because I thought I had a major problem and it tured out to be minor one.

I bought an Angie's List coupon for 2 hours of work. I had intended to have a kitchen faucet installed, and a toilet fixed. The faucet is a top-of-the-line kitchen faucet. The technician said that, because it was not identical to the 19 year-old faucet being replaced, that I would have to sign a "release". I was immediately suspicious, as this is a very straightforward job, and no plumber had ever asked me to sign anything like this. However, having already paid for the service, I complied. He installed the faucet, and I never asked him to fix the toilet, as I was put off by the "release." Sure enough, a few weeks later, the faucet became quite loose and wobbly. When I called the company, they said that the "warranty period" had expired, even though it had been only a few weeks. I called Angie's List to complain. They heard the whole story, and, to their credit, they promptly refunded my coupon payment. I called another plumber who came and re-installed the faucet. It works perfectly. I would never use Action services for anything.

Great service. Gave good suggestion on how to keep drains clean.

Isaac, the plumber, called for directions, showed up thirty minutes later at 11:15 am, asked where the problem was, got equipment and went straight to work. No conversation accept to sign form to begin work, the whole job took about 30 minutes.

Oil was very helpful & explained what he was doing. Company responded quickly to my call.

Excellent. Gil, was excellent, explained all details and unclogged the drain promptly!

On time, reasonably priced and helpful

They were great. I had signed up for three hours and he got it done in an hour. They are fast, efficient, knowledgeable, and clean. I highly recommend them. Josh was great!

I pre-purchased two "Plumber Call" Deals for $29 each and another Deal for two hours of service for $89 in the event I had a problem, which i did. My hot water heater burst and the shut-off valve was not working so I shut off the main line to the house and called up Action Services. No one picked up (4 times) so I left a voice mail. The call was not returned that day, so I called the next morning and talked to a receptionist about the problem. I explained to her that I wanted to use my pre-purchased deals to inspect the water heater to see if it was save-able and install a new shut-off valve. She said i would have to talk to a plumber about the specifics of the work but they don't service hot water heaters. (their info advertises that they do). And they won't honor the $ 29 service calls and told me to ask Angie?s List for a refund. (She did say they would honor the $35 deal, which could be purchased from Angie?s List). I asked if the $89 deal was sufficient to simply have a new shut-off valve installed. She said i would have to speak with a plumber for that. So I waited for their plumber to call to discuss the problem but no one called that day. So I called again the next morning (at 7:30am) and talked to another person (this time a plumber). I explained the problem to him and he said I needed to replace the hot water heater. I told him I don?t have the budget to replace it and it wasn?t necessary since it?s a secondary heater just for the washing machine. I just needed them to install a new shut-off valve so I could turn the water back on at the main line. He said I would have to go buy the parts before they would book an oppt. I said theres a B&B Hardware Store walking distance so i would do that immediately (as i was speaking to him) , and have the receptionist call me back asap to book the oppt because i had already gone three days without water and needed a plumber asap. He said he was not sure if they had time available for that day, but definitely the next day. He said the receptionist would call me back "within 3 minutes." to book an oppt time. He also took my phone number to make sure he had my correct info. No one ever called me back so I made other arrangements and have called Angie's List for a refund on all three plumbing deals for Action Services.

I called early on Friday morning and they never returned my call. I left a voicemail and even verified through the reviews on Angie’s List that they have come out on weekends and holidays. They didn’t even acknowledge or return my call.

His initial estimate for my project was 34 hours and well within the pre-purchased amount. He came in twice to give me an estimate because I was having trouble with one of his employees. He drastically underestimated the job and the project ended up taking two days longer. He ended up giving me a final bill of $871.22 including labor and materials. He sent four employees out on the final day and I did not ask him to do that. I shouldn't be held accountable for extra charges when he underestimates the project. The company is now threatening to put a lean on my home if I don't pay this extra amount. There are also some issues with the quality of the work. I had to bring in a plumber today to fix a leak they caused.

Gil the plumber was great. He was extremely knowledgable and a consummate professional. Unfortunately our remodel contractor had made several mistakes in the bathroom infrastructure like putting concrete on the holes were the toilet flange was supposed t connect and making the hole too small for the flange extender. Gil was so skilled he was able to enlarge the hole without cracking my new tile floor and he figured out a way t attached the unit despite the concrete foul up. This saved us hundreds of dollars since we did not have to have flange dug out and replaced. He sees a problem and he fixes it. We would definitely ask for him to come back. My only issue was that he showed up 45 minutes early and I was still in the shower. He was kind enough t wait in his truck while I got dressed rather than rescheduling to another day. It is better to have a tradesperson come early instead lof ate. Also, i wuld really help if the company sent the custmers a list of materials they need to buy in advance.We wated time driving to home depot to buy supplies.

I think they did a pretty good job on the three jobs. The quality of the work on the toilet was a little messy, but the kitchen seal was very good. I got a good deal for what I paid for.

Took longer for Modern Roofing to complete...and delayed start. I did not care. About 1 month delay and 3 weeks to complete.

Left a message to get a quote, never received a return call.

I made two appointments with this company. The first one was cancelled. They said that they had a family emergency. I set a second appointment and took the day off work to be there. They called and cancelled that appointment as well. They said that the job they were working on was taking longer than expected.

Called company, who were able to fit us in right away. Frank showed up and fixed the PVC line for $85.00 Not sure about the cost of that repair, seems a bit steep. What I do know he quoted too much for is the toilet. His written estimate was "to rebuild toilet tank with new fill valve, flapper and handle $149.00." I told him I'd try to fix it myself, which I did for less than five dollars. It was the handle only, not even the arm that the handle and chain connect to, which turned out to be the problem. I have next to no knowledge of plumbing, but still I knew the quote was way, way too steep. So, no, I didn't end up paying for the inflated cost of the toilet repair, but I could have been overcharged by a very large percentage.

Action called to confirm that Frank was on his way (on time). Frank was very professional & completed the entire job to my satisfaction & delight.

Their service was okay. Since I'm not familiar with the quality of water heaters, I was relying on them. I'm not sure if I got the best deal.

I purchased the $1499 special, which includes a 2 hour planning meeting with the contractor and 40 hours of labor. I supplied all materials needed for the job. All went as advertised, the only minor detraction being a couple of communication glitches on the front end, but not anything that would keep me from working with Action Services. John Santore of Action Services came to my house and we looked at all my proposed projects. We went over options and his suggestions in some detail. A few days later he sent me estimates of the number of hours required for each task. These turned out to be quite accurate when the work was actually performed. Based on his estimates, I prioritized what I wanted done. John accommodated me by scheduling the work for a week when the rest of my family was out of town, to minimize disruption in our lives while the work was performed. Two workmen arrived on schedule and did a full 40 hours of work, keeping at it quite diligently over a 2.5 day period. In my opinion, they were very skilled, and also very willing to take my suggestions about how to proceed when any question arose. Overall, I was very pleased with the service and the value for the money.
