We didn't have an apptmt. for a smog check, so when we arrived unannounced, we were prepared for either a long wait or an outright refusal for that day. So we were surprised when the owner himself said he'd take us when he finished the one he was then working on.

My 2004 Dodge Ram had been experiencing overheating problems. I took my truck to Hodges, which I've used for 2+ years for all vehicle repairs, and they immediately alerted me to the possibilty of a cracked head. They tried some less expensive options, but to no avail. My truck didn't have the classic signs of a blown head (smoke out tailpipe,etc), but they found antifreeze in the oil pan whcih confirmed their original diagnosis. This was an expensive repair, however they tried to mitigate the costs by sourcing less expensive heads from a dealer in Florida. Their cost estimates were on target and the repair fixed the problem. Great service.
