My husband has been going to him for 27 years. He knew Jim personally I think through theater. I've been going to him for about 11 years now. We just totally trust him and just take the car in and they don't do any more than they need to do. The prices are good. Everybody I've sent to him has been happy too. He has done a lot of work on my car, because my car is getting older. He has probably done $6000 worth in the last six months. But I want to keep the car going and it's got a lot of miles.

I bring my 3 cars to Lightfoot for all my repairs. It's a small garage however, the owner is extremely fair and trustworthy. He never does a repair that is not necessary. I trust whatever recommendations he suggest when it comes to car maintenance. Since I work in the mornings, anytime I have to drop the car off, I generally leave the car with him at night and throw my keys in his door slot and the car is generally ready the next day.

Jim Lightfoot is an institution in the South Bay for good reason! Dependable, honest, reasonably priced and knows cars literally and quot;inside and outand quot;, Jim and his mechanics can fix anything I have taken to them over the last 30 years. BUT, don't expect a and quot;picture postcardand quot; little garage with posies and whatnot around, Jim's place is old,cluttered and very basic looking.. nothing to look at for sure but he provides service at great prices and excellent work that he stands behind.
