Jason arrived right on time, he was neat and fast!

Two Toto toilets would not totally shut of and overflowed the filler tube. Both shut-off valves were toast and would not shut off the water supply. Scheduling an appointment was quick and easy with a very friendly person at Barnett Plumbing. The plumber arrived promptly at the scheduled time. He was very polite answering all my questions and relating what had to be done to correct the problems. He told me what parts were needed and gave me an estimate on the job. He then got right to work. He completed the job in about 45 minutes. He cleaned up the job site, leaving it perfectly clean. I was impressed with the professionalism of the personnel involved, the caliber if their work and their responsiveness. I will use them again when I next need a plumber.

I am very impressed with their customer service and professionalism. Within a few minutes of sending them an e-mail, I received a call from one of their technicians who immediately scheduled a visit. After the visit, they e-mailed their proposed work and estimate the same afternoon! The estimated price seemed fair and reasonable. The only reason we did not go with their company was that the installation required other services they do not provide- electrical work and removing an attic ladder.

We're very satisfied with Barnett Plumbing. Everything went very good. I like the service and the technician that came. The price that they charge is fair and they did the work correctly. Overall they provided an excellent service.

It went excellent. They diagnosed the problem immediately and fixed the problem with the same amount of efficiency. They were very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend them. They also were very thorough in explaining what happened and what they did to fix it.

I selected this company because they attend my church and I was not a member of Angies List at the time. I asked for an estimate and he said they do not estimate by the hour, only by the job. Not realizing my "job" would take 20 minutes I agreed to $190 to fix the shower, we did not have any hot water. I also asked to replace the shower head since he was taking apart the faucet anyway. When he finished the work, he wrote an invoice for the shower head replacement and not the temperature adjustment. He said the work is guaranteed 2 years. After using the shower for a month, we still do not have hot water, the shower head he installed is falling off and we can see the blue tape on our metal fixtures. I also observed he did not re-caulk around the fixtures that he removed. Hugely disappointed in this company. UPDATE: After writing my review owner Phil Barnett called and will be coming out next week to correct the problem.

My plumbing problem occured late one evening with both toilets backing up in my home. We had no luck trying to plunge either one to clear out the line. I placed a call to Barnett Plumbing prior to 8:00 a.m. the following morning and had an appointment window from 10:00 to 12 noon. Within a half our or so, I received a call back from Mr. Barnett who said he would have a technican out as soon as available, and fortunately, he arrived prior to 10:00 a.m. I appreciated the follow up and the courtesy of both Mr. Barnett and the technician throughout the appointment. I was quoted a price for two remedies: use of an auger to clear the toilets, and if that was not successful, hydro jetting the sewer line through the roof vent. The technician tried the auger in both toilets, but neither would budge. He then left a short while to bring the additional equipment and another tech to assist with the hydro jet. Within 10 minutes or so, the sewer line was cleared. I appreciated the prompt service and professionalism I received from the receptionist, Mr. Barnett, and his technicians. I did not call any other plumbers prior to Barnett Plumbing, so I do not know how their pricing compares to other plumbers thus the 'B' rating. Based on my experience, I would definitely use their services again.

They arrived right on time and quickly determined where the problem was. We determined the leak was somewhere between the house and the water meter. They quoted $95 an hour to have someone dig to find the leak. Seems pricey to me considered I just hired an electrician at $65 an hour to install an electrical outlet. I might be willing to hire a plumber at $95 to dig a hole, but professional diggers cost $95 an hour? I decided to dig it myself.

My water heater stopped working on Sunday (Super Bowl day.) Being an avid Angie's List member, I checked for water heater services. Barnett had excellent scores and their location was in close proximity to my home. I called Monday morning at 6:45 a.m. (they open at 7:00.) I was desperate to have hot water again. You don't realize how important your water heater is until you experience nothing but cold water. Anyway, Barnett Plumbing arranged for a Monday morning appointment. The problem was fixed by 9:30 a.m. I highly recommend Barnett's. I will use them for all future plumbing needs. THANK YOU!

All the work was done neatly and professionally. Solder connections are very clean. He really cleaned up - we did not have to go back and clean again. Wow! It was the best plumbing experience ever. It was fast, professional, and neat. He provided expert advice on water pressure and ways to avoid future water pressure issues. He discussed the work he did and the sprinkler work he did not do. It was very helpful.

Angie?s list help me find a reputable contractor - Barnett Plumbing in Livermore, CA to replace my water heater. They provided me with great service. The contractor Jason did a great job. He is detail oriented and very organized. As a result, the final product is quite satisfactory. The office manager ? Ben is very helpful and diligent with his administration work. Overall, I am quite satisfied with their service and would recommend them to others.

Service was quick, professional, and courteous. Service was on time as scheduled. I was very pleased to have someone come out the very next day (this was not an emergency). Probably would not have found them if not for Angie's List, but I would not hesitate to recommend their services to anybody. No upselling. Very pleasant experience and I will definitely use them for future plumbing needs. As an aside, I tried to get another local plumber out to do the work last week. He never called back, prompting me to sign up for Angie's List services to find a reliable, local plumber. VERY pleased I did.

They didn't do it as well as we would've liked, so we had them re-do it and it ended up costing more than we thought. They were however very nice and very professional.

Really pleasant. He instructed me on how to fix it, and did not charge us anything. He alos identifed a leak in our front yard, and told us how to fix it.

Past experience with plumbers has been related to the "Rescue Rooter" variety, where the first thing they do upon arrival is analyze the cars you drive and where your house is located, factor all that in, and then charge unrealsitic amounts disproportionate to the time spent and skill level of the job . I'M DONE WITH THEM! Thanks to Angies list, I've found Barnett Plumbing. These guys alread had great ratings. I read through the customer feedback and decided to see for myself how they rate. I can honestly say I've found a great solution in these guys. They run a business the way it should be run - They have excellent business practices - Either for an estimate or job start, they call before they arrive and they arrive ON-TIME! If you're not home when they've finished, they call when they're done and they take care of the business paperwork right away. These guys are less than 3 miles away - I feel strongly about keeping my business with the locals and supporting the community I live in. Six months ago, I bought a run down home, and am presently starting repairs, including the plumbing. Barnett Plumbing has left a great impression with me and are my first choice when I want to bid out a job. They have my trust and confidence, and I like the way they operate their business. Thumbs up!

Barnett plumbing came out to our house for a same day estimate to replace our water heater. Prior to that, I had traded several e-mails with Phil regarding recommendations, warranty plans and options. He was honest and responsive in answering all my questions. His bid to replace our water heater was lower than our neighbors who supposedly got a 20% discount from a friend of a friend sort of deal. Water heater was in within days and the water line brought up to code as well. Extremely courteous, fast and professional. I would not hesitate to call them again. This was over a year ago and there has been no issue whatsoever with the replacement.

I accidently dropped and flushed a hair clip in the toilet. 2 guys came and tried to snake the toilet drain first but couldn't push the hair clip through. So they had to pull the toilet off and retrieve the hair clip. They did all in about 25 minutes. I'm not familiar with plumber prices, but I thought 155 was a little too expensive.

While Phil went out to buy the necessary new regulator, his assistant fixed the hole in the water heater pipe (cut it out and wielded it?). By the time this was completed Phil was back. Putting in the new pressure regulator did not take long. The entire job took about 1 hour and cost $510. I do not know how this rate compares to other plumbers, but I am very satisfied with the job. They were very knowledgeable, very polite, very friendly, and every efficient. If ever I need a plumber again I will not hesitate to call Barnett Plumbing.

The service was outstanding. It was probably the most impressive service I have ever had. The water heater was leaking so it was going out. It was a same day service. The plumber came and I noticed the guarantee on the water heater that listed the manufacturer's number rather than where I purchased it, but I had both. The plumber first contacted the manufacturer to say that the water heater was going out too soon. He did a much better job communicating to them than I would have. The manufacturer said that they would take it back in its entirety, even though it was 5 years old. He removed it and took it back to the home improvement store and he asked them to give me a 100 percent exchange with no cost to me after 5 years. He brought the new hot water heater back. He removed the old one and brought the new one back. He replaced it and ran the overload pipe from the water heater in the garage to outside the house, installed it, and put a pan under it. The amount I spent sounds like a lot but he removed the old one and installed the new one, and he took the old one to the store for me.

They are very good. The service went very well.

After obtaining estimates from two plumbers in February, I chose to have Barnett Plumbing unclog my toilet and a sink. Phil Barnett, the owner, sent one of his employees over. The young man (sorry, I don't remember his name) arrived on time and cleared the clogs quickly. I am very satisfied with the professionalism of Barnett Plumbing and would definitely hire them again.

Overall, my experience with them was excellent. It was almost an emergency. They came over right away the next day and did exactly what I needed them to do. They were great, and the price was good too. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

They are excellent and I would say wonderful things about them. I've used them twice. They were prompt, efficient and very conscientious about keeping everything clean.

I called Barnett Plumbing right around 9am, spoke to Phil, and got a repair window between 12-2pm that same day. Around 1-45pm, I received a call from Aaron telling me he would arrive in about 20 minutes. Aaron arrived and cleared the line out to 70 ft. I love the fact that they are right in Livermore and don't come in and raise the price on you once they are finished. I will be using them again. **UPDATE** 1/13/10 Clogged drain was fixed but when I went to run my washer I noticed it was still leaking around the pipe in my garage. I called Barnett Plumbing this morning and Phil sent Aaron out to take a look at what was going on. I guess when he was putting the pipe back together, the plastic ring cracked which was causing the leak. He fixed the problem and replaced my old galvanized pipe FOR FREE. WOW, what great customer service!! If you want to deal with an honest, reputable company call Barnett Plumbing. Originally, I gave them a B for price but I just changed it to an A. Honest people in this business are so hard to find!! I will definitely be using them again and again. THANK YOU!!

He promptly called us, was at our house within two hours and called to let me know when he was 10 mins. away. He and his coworker snaked the drain, tested everything out, installed the sewer popper and left.
