Capital Tree Service

I contacted Brad at Capital Tree Service for a quote on prunning two trees in my yard. His quote was provided on site and after two other quotes I contacted Brad to have the work performed. His team arrived as scheduled, all wearing company shirts. Their equipment was in excellent condition and his crew was very efficient and were focused on ensuring that the job was done to my expectation. They were done in less than an hour and a half and all debris was removed from my yard. I will be using them for future tree work.

The big thing that impressed me was the clean up they wasted no time to clean up. Thanks for the great job.

Brad was there right on time. After looking at the tree, he agreed it was huge and, in fact, bigger than he had the capability of cabling. (It really is a massive Heritage Oak!) He was immediately aware of its protected status and we appreciated how forthcoming he was. Others might have attempted the job when they shouldn't, but Brad knows what he can do well and he isn't willing to risk something that may be beyond his scope. We appreciated his honesty and will call him again on any smaller job (which means just about ANY job)!

They were supposed to remove one tree, two bushes, and stumps. They didn't completely remove the roots like I would have hoped they would. They didn't want to get too close to our house.

To prepare for a backyard makeover, we had removed four trees (sick & sicker) from our back and side yards. This left the stumps of course. Searched around Angie's List and, after a few quotes, struck a deal with Brad Webb of Capital Tree Service. After a very appealing cost estimate, Brad cautioned us that our backyard gate might not be wide enough to accommodate his stump grinder and there was an existing Japanese Maple on the side part of the yard that might obstruct him. He offered to take out the gate and post at no extra charge if it was needed. We scheduled the job which ended up being postponed one day as he had hurt his back, however, he contacted us quickly and we rescheduled. When I got home and took a look I was very pleased! The stumps were history, the grindings were spread and my gate was in one piece. The side yard stumps were gone and my maple was intact. Would happily recommend Brad & Capital Tree Service anytime!

Bid was not as detailed as other bids and not the cheapest, but Brad was definitely the most responsive. Brad came out within a few days of my call for the estimate and was able to schedule the job within a week. They were timely and professional and cleaned up completely afterward. My mulberry that I have been training for 21 years to grow tall (had been perennially topped when I moved in) had no work done in 5 years and needed serious trimming, and they did a great job. My only complaint is that the bid was not specific so there were two things that had not been included that I thought were: clearing the mulberry off my neighbor's roof (apparently by law I am not responsible for damage my trees do to my neighbors, and it would require my neighbor's permission), and clearing out the oranges I had fried by warming my trees too much during a cold spell (only the dead branches had been included in the bid). Fortunately, my neighbor came home and gave permission, so for the price of my Angie's List discount they shaped the mulberry all the way around and cleaned out all the dead oranges. In the end the price was competitive and they were very easy to work with, so I'm completely satisfied.

Brad from Capital Tree Service was able to meet me the day after I called. He showed up on time for the estimate appointment. I had met with another company, as well, and liked the advice that Brad gave compared to the other company. He seemed very knowledgeable and concerned about providing the right service - not just the most expensive. Additionally, his quote came in cheaper than the other company - bonus! My only issue was he failed to show up for our scheduled service day the following week. He was however able to come out 2 days later to do the job. They performed everything as expected and did an excellent job cleaning up any debris.

They were very professional, competent and courteous. All of the debris was removed and the yard and paths, etc. cleaned up. Unfortunately, one of my sprinkler pipes was broken but I was told in the beginning that they couldn't be responsible for that kind of damage if it occurred, especially since the area between sprinkler lines and tree roots was practically non-existent.

The owner was very responsive in setting up a time to take a look at our yard and give us an estimate. In fact, he went out of his way on a Saturday to meet with us. He provided us with options, and even shed light on unrelated issues we are having with neighboring trees. He gave us a good deal, and was at our house within a week to do the work. His crew not only ground the stumps to oblivion, they also dug up a giant block of old cement for us. We didn't even know it was there, so that was a nice surprise! We definitely recommend this company, and hope to work with them again one day.

The palm tree was at least 15 feet tall and had not been maintained over the years so branches covered the entire trunk. It was a mess! The crew arrived early and got to work right away. They were very courteous and friendly. They quickly cut the tree down and ground down the stump. They hauled the pieces of the trunk away and used a chipper to shred the branches. They cleaned up everything when they were done. They finished the whole job in less than an hour. I would definitely hire them again!

I had called a few companies and Capital Tree Service was the most friendly and responsive. They were at my house within a couple of days to assess the job and give me a quote. Their pricing was reasonable enough that I added pruning an oak tree with mistletoe problems to the job. They had to reschedule once, but they were back within two weeks to do the work. The tree they were removing was very close to the house and they took it down without any issues. They cleaned up all branches and debris and they even took some tree trunks I had cut up previously. Overall I was very pleased with the quality of their work and feel they did an excellent job.

I called Capital Tree Service after one of our trees in the back yard was clearly dying and during some strong winds several branches broke off. Brad (the owner) was out to give an estimate very promptly, and we were able to set an appointment within just a couple of days for them to do the work. He and his crew arrived right on time and went to work right away. They removed a tree in the front yard and then took out the stump. They cleaned up the tree and had it all raked it all up in short order. In the back yard, they also removed a big tree, along with a smaller one, as well, both of which were dead. Once again, they cleaned it all up and left the area in a very good condition -- after removing the tree and all limbs, they raked up the small pieces as well, and put the furniture they moved back in it's original place. I couldn't be more pleased with their work -- they were prompt and very professional, as well as courteous and pleasant. They did such a nice job, and I highly recommend Capital Tree Service!

Great job. Brad worked alongside his crew, always good to have the owner working on a project. The whole team was top notch. Trees look so much better, and safer. One small mishap with a limb breaking a roof tile, but we had some backup material and got everything fixed up with no time lost. Would definitely use Capital Tree Service again.

I have a large mulberry tree in my front yard, which grows very rapidly. Left to it's own devices, large tree limbs overhang my garage and driveway. And, of course, it drops all of its tree schmutz on the driveway and on my car. I contacted Brad, and he came over soon after that to give me an estimate for the job. We agreed to a time for him to do the work. Brad and his assistant arrived bright and early in the morning, as I was leaving for work. They got started right away. When I arrived home from work, the tree looked great. The canopy is well-shaped and appears light and airy. Everything was cleaner than the way I'd left it.

Exactly as he said. He did what he said, when he said it was to be done. Flawless execution He will be called again when I have another tree to cut.

Brad and crew were on time and very efficient. They removed lawn furniture from below areas they were cutting and protected surrounding light fixtures from damage without being asked. They cut the trees with an intelligence and knowledge of how they grow and addressed my concern with recurring visits from raccoons. After working the entire day, they raked up all debris, blew off the sawdust/leave and replaced all my furniture and pots and plants back to their original places. I'm picky about who I want around my home and these guys are great. I recommend them without reservation.

i was given a quote for two trees for a good price. We chose to only have one of the trees removed and the price became higher than half. They did a great job and cleaned up in a timely and very good way.

Showed up on time for both the estimate and the work done. Very professional and careful in the tree removal. Completely cleaned up all the cuttings and leaves. Even cleaned up leaves that were already there before work began.

Superb value. They even shredded a pre-existing pile without us asking, big thumbs up!!

The crew arrived on time and started work a short time later. The owner was there working alone side the crew. The work was done professionally and the site was cleaned up. The large stumps and limbs were piled in areas as agreed. Some broken branches on shrubs around the trees were noticed but expected due to the size of the job. The large tree was over a pool and we did get a lot of saw dust, leaves and small branches in the pool - not a big deal.

Brad was responsive during the whole process and his price was competitive. He and his crew were super efficient and made sure the area was clean before leaving. I was not expecting the amount of clean up as he made sure the surrounding area was clear of any debri, dust, etc. They were all professional and pleasant to deal with. I would hire them again and plan on referring them to others.

Brad was very pleasent and informative on the initial visit, hearing our requests and making additional suggestions. He and his team arrived on time and were very professional. A lot of time was spent trimming the large oak and it looks fantastic! We're also pleased with the reenforcement done and will no longer worry about tree damage during storms. The other trees and bushes were quickly removed and the stumps ground. Everything was cleaned up quickly and satisfactorily and debris hauled away. The only "glitch" was a scrunched drip-line filter which we replaced and Brad quickly reimbursed us for the cost, no questions asked. We have already recommended Capital Tree to a friend and are looking at a few other trees for them to trim in the future. Good job!

Tree trimming was good, except missed a tree in the back yard. Caused damage to my lawn in the back yard by leaving a pile of shaving, broken sprinkler, and left back gate wide open.
