Steve and employee worked the first 3 days without supervision and the tile looked good but the progress was slow. On the 4th day the showed up late and left early. Again the quality of the work looked good. On the 5th day I left for lunch only to return to find that Steve left the job site. Not only did they take all of their toosl but dumped the water from their wet tile saw on the floor! I immediatly contacted a another contractor who showed up promptly and used a wet vaccume to soke up the water on the floor. The contractor who also does tile pointed out the fact that even though the tile looked good, the installation quality was poor at best. The contractor was able to pop off a few tiles with no effort what so ever without tools. The following problems were pointed out to me: 1. The Thinset that was used was not proper for the installation. 2. The Thinset was improperly applied causing the tile not to adhere to the backer board. 3. The backerboard was installed improperly with the back side out. 4. The seams on the backerboard were not sealed with fiberglass tape. This would cause the tile to crack over time. I was also imformed that the only way to fix this was to remove all of the tile and backerboard and start again. At this point I decided to obtain 3 more bids. I was told by all 3 contractors that all of the tile whould have to be removed and the job would have to be complete started all over again. I tried to contact Steve Voth and left messages asking him to remedy all of the above issues. He will not return my phone calls. Under no circumstances would I recomend that this company or this individual to perform any type of tiling or flooring work. Even though he told me he was a licensed contractor I have since found out he is not a licensed contractor.
Description of Work: Steve Voth was hired to install tile in the my master bathroom floor and shower, kitchen floor and kids bathroom floor and shower.
