Two workers arrived at the scheduled time. They were very professional and worked on one of the hottest days of the week. They were very precise and careful in deciding where to install the turbine vents. The install took about an hour and a half. Cost was $375 - which I think was very appropriate for the work they had to do. Additionally, the owner educated me regarding some of the other older vent systems that were installed on other locations on the roof. They did a nice job cleaning up after they were done. I highly recommend this business because the workers were so conscientious and honest.

I contacted Chris on March 7th in order to schedule a time for him to come out and look at our roof-we were interested in a bid on a full replacement. He was polite and responsive over the phone, but let me know up front, that due to the recent rains, if I did accept his proposal, he wouldn't be able to get to my home until mid-May. I appreciated his candor so we decided to have him come out and inspect/provide us with a cost even with the potential delay. Chris met with my husband the next evening and spent about an hour itemizing our options. He offered suggestions and let us know that he was able to schedule us earlier than expected as he "didn't want to lose our business." After reviewing three bids, we chose Weathermaster Roofing Services. His offer was very competitive, his timeline was almost a week shorter than the others, but what impressed me most was that he suggested we could reduce our price by having his crew carefully remove our existing cement tile and pallet them to re-sell to another vendor. Chris offset our cost by almost 4K! While our project was scheduled to take only three days, due to extensive repair work (which we anticipated), only one more additional 1/2 day was necessary to complete. The entire crew was professional, not only in their timeliness, but their friendly demeanor. They answered all my questions in a thorough and understandable manner and Chris communicated via email on a regular basis. I love my new roof and would recommend Weathermaster to anyone needing a roof-in fact I already have! He gets an A+.

Chris Wilder’s was the last estimate from four Angies listed roofers. We had done our research and determined Chris’ recommended materials made the most sense. He literally blew everyone else out of the water via his knowledge and expertise, price and attitude, the last being that special quality of trust one senses in an individual you know will do the best job for you with the uncommon quality of excellence that comes from loving what one does for a living. The job was done on time at the scheduled day, and we appreciated Chris’ flexibility in allowing an extra day for termite inspection of the exposed roof which required extra traveling by his worker needing to leave and return a few days later. They did some extra tasks we requested including removing a flag pole and hauling away some fence. He didn’t charge us, but at the job completion we were so happy with his work and eagerness to assist us, we gave him a bonus. We were also very impressed with his effort to get a limited lifetime warranty on material. Instead of using one company which would not warranty residential jobs (ours being a flat torch down roof), Chris found another and worked the system so we got what we wanted. Rather than trying to sell us on more work, he gave us an honest assessment of the main roof and told us it had many years of life left. In conclusion, we are so glad we used Chris Wilder and Weathermaster, the exceptional very best! He is the gold icon of roofers!!

Estimated 3-5 days and finished in 3 days. Their work was high quality and they made sure the work area was clean at the end of each day.

I had my roof replaced in August and have been waiting for rain before I wrote this to make sure it didn't leak, which, as I expected, it did not. Weathmaster replaced the tile roof on our 3,000 SF two story house in Poway. It was a positive experience from start to finish. I got estimates from three companies for my project which were all fairly close. I chose Weathermaster because I liked the owner, Chris Wilder. Chris showed up exactly on time to look at the job. He gave me a price for the roof and also to replace heavy timber on a trellis. Chris was involved from start to finish, there were no surprises, no extra charges, and no delays. The work was top quality, and the final result looks great. Chris is a straight shooter and was a pleasure to work with. If you need a roof, I highly recommend him.

Chris Wilder (owner of WeatherMaster) provided spectacular service and quality in doing our large re roofing project (4500 square foot single level home). Chris is personable and incredibly focused on service and quality. I knew from the moment that I shook his hand that I wanted him to do our project (his calluses). Chris runs a small company and is not just the face of the company, he is up on the roof every day overseeing and working along side his crew. Even though it required additional work, all tile was brought to and from our driveway so there was no damage to our landscaping. At the end of the day, his crew cleaned up our property so there was minimal disruption to our normal daily living other than the noise of people walking and working on the roof. His crew was pleasant, polite and as unobtrusive as possible - during breaks they did't hang out in our backyard which other vendors have done over the years which is somewhat awkward if we are also there. There was some inevitable very minor damage to a few areas of stucco and garage doors from the demolition and without even asking, this was all repaired. Even the driveway which got pretty dirty from the trucks delivering supplies and removing the old tiles was power washed after the job was completed- again without asking or any additional charge. His price is also more than competitive. You will be more than pleased if you contract with Chris Wilder from Weather Master.

This was a very big budget item for us and we wanted it done right (our roof is not a simple one!), so we researched very reputable licensed/bonded/insured roofing companies that had experience with projects our size and got formal quotes from three. Of the three people/companies who came out to provide a quote, the only one who actually went up on the roof (instead of just relying on satellite photos) was Chris from Weathermaster. He was able to do a good assessment of our needs, and confirmed we should replace the aged skylights when we redid the roof. We wanted a roof that would help keep the building cool, and he explained options that would help with that. [Note: All three companies were in accord that layering a new roof over the old one was not recommended, as that would increase heat buildup as well as greatly increase the weight on the roof--instead, a replacement roof was the proper way to go.] Chris provided a reasonable and detailed quote, and quickly provided a revised quote when we made a slight change to our original request. [We were concerned that turbines might rust and squeak as we are very near the ocean, so we added dormers instead to help increase ventilation.] His workers were prompt, hard-working and professional, and were responsive to any of our questions and requests. We are very pleased with our new roof.

Things went perfectly, even better than expected, during the hottest days of July. They performed the work on schedule, responding very quickly to all of my contacts through email, which I prefer. Chris was so impressive at our first meeting to measure and prepare the bid that I told my friends, I sure hope this bid turns out to be the best value. Not only did Chris include everything in his proposal that I pointed out, and everything that he could see needed to be done before tearing off the roof, he had the best price of all the companies who bid for my project. If I had to describe my experience with Weathermaster Roofing in one word, I would say IDEAL. If I had to describe Christopher Wilder in one word, I would say INTEGRITY. It went well. Chris & his crew were conscientious and professional. Chris kept me informed as the what was happening on the project. He and his crew cleaned up at the end of their work day. After the project was completed it had rained and I had a leak on my patio (because of an a/c unit issue). When I called Chris on that Sunday about the leak he said he would come by at 7am on Monday, but he showed up about 30 minutes after we spoke to cover where the leak was. He came back a day later to seal up the leak and do a leak test. He did a great job. I would highly recommend Weathermaster Roofing.

It went very well. The work was completed in 3.5 days. Chris and his crew did an excellent job. They were very conscientious about protecting the building and cars from dust and debris. They cleaned the area each night and when they completed the job. Since this was the first complete removal of the roof since the building was built in 1985, wood rot was found under several of the heat pumps. The heat pumps were disconnected and moved while replacing the plywood. I didn't anticipate the moving the heat pumps. In hindsight, I should of had the heat pumps disconnected in advance to preserve the Freon in the units.

Chris came...to look at the leak are which I showed the leaked ceiling from inside the house...he assessed...climbed on the roof...walked the entire roof for broken tiles where where were (amazing how cement tiles "just" break with age and the roof was installed in 1997...and after a while maybe 15 minutes he gave me an estimate which at first appeared expensive but for the work they did it was what I would expect to pay.

No show, no call, no return call after failed appt.

We have a historic home in La Mesa that required extra attention to detail. Chris came to us with nothing but solutions and delivered a quality product. I would recommend him without reservation. Follow his advice and you won't be disappointed.

Well...just a few days longer than estimated due to product not in stock.

It went great...this type of work brings up a lot of dust and dirt with old roof pieces coming down. The crew removed the old roof very carefully and every day cleaned up any debris. They were punctual, considerate of cars going in and out of the driveway, and meticulous in their work. Chris, the owner, supervised everything and worked alongside his crew. This was a major expense that we had been delaying as long as possible. It turned out that we waited until adding solar panels, which turned up some leaks in the old roof. We feel the timing was excellent to be connected to Weathermaster through Baker Solar Electric. Both companies worked well together and provided us with a terrific experience!

Chris impressed me very much at our initial visit. He was prompt, pleasant and very knowledgeable. He addressed all my questions, made reasonable suggestions, and explained his approach to the job. He submitted his bid the next day, and it fell in the middle of the 3 bids I sought (the lowest bid did not include insulation, as that contractor couldn't do it; the highest bid was thousands of dollars more, and the work time was projected to be several days longer). On our scheduled start date rain was forecast. Chris monitored weather radar and determined that my area would likely not be affected, so he began the project. He worked cooperatively with another contractor who was simultaneously installing a vent in my garage. At all times, Chris was responsive to emailed questions. The job was completed in the time estimated. I am very satisfied with the professionalism shown by Chris and his crew. My roof looks great, and I am confident the job was done right at a fair price.

Very pleased with Weathermaster Roofing. Excellent professionals and exceeded my expectations. We had new turbine ventilators installed and pipes resealed. My house stays cooler longer without the air conditioner, and we added a turbine to the garage. What a difference that has made. Wish I had hired Chris and crew much earlier. They even painted the ventilators and pipes to match the roof color. It now looks like a new roof.

Chris came out to give me an estimate, and I liked him right away.  He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions.  After meeting with Chris, I was confident that his company would do a good job repairing my roof, which they did, for a very reasonable price.
