BEWARE! This was the worst moving experience imaginable. They use a call center and have unprofessional drivers that will milk the clock and add on extra charges after the fact. Yelled at my wife and refused to provide an invoice before payment. I've used many moving companies and this was the worst. Expect $1000+ for small moves and a lazy group of guys who milk the clock to add money. Then when address in private with their "call center" and office be told they recorded us and will have any negative review taken down. USE ANYONE ELSE!

I can't thank this crew enough for taking care of my personal items like their own. From the minute I contacted the office they answered every time, I was treated like an old friend. They give what they promise. Yes you can find cheaper, no hidden charges. Every nickel was explained up front with these guys.

I hired Finch Moving to move my belongings from my home in Lemon Grove to the new home in Lakeside. The move started on 5/21/21 and was stopped on 5/22/21. I have previously used this company to relocate, and so I wasn't concerned with hiring them again. During the initial phone consultation and on both days of the move I explained that there was only one item that I didn't want damaged. It was a hand-crafted hardwood gaming table that was custom built. I told them how expensive it was, and verified that they were able to move it without damage. The movers assured me it would be taken care of. On the second day of the move, they transported the table. On arrival at the new home, I discovered that one of the drawers of the table had been damaged. I brought the damage to the attention of the movers present, who told me that I had to e-mail the damage and pictures to "[email protected]", which I did. Within minutes of reporting the damage, the movers began quickly unloading the contents of the truck and placing it under our carport. When I questioned this, I was told that they were done for the day, and was asked to pay for the day's work. I did, and the movers left. They never said that they wouldn't return. I have sent three e-mails and called their number multiple times from different phone numbers, but the representatives who answer refuse to actually assist me. I've been told that the "person" who handles claims is "Out of the country" or "will call me back tomorrow". I waited a couple months before posting any kind of negative review, as I sincerely believed that the company would do right by its customers. It's taken months to get most of the stuff that was left outside of my house unpacked, as we have four children, one with special needs, and I work full time as a Registered Nurse (and we all know how crazy the last year has been for healthcare workers). Mind you, I did not make a big deal about clearly labeled boxes of medications being placed in my 3 year old son's closet, nor the other boxes and furniture that were dropped in random places, despite also being labeled. I did not seek replacement of the pieces of my daughter's bed that were misplaced (I had to purchase an entire new bedroom set, as her carriage bed's screws/hardware were nowhere to be found). I did not seek replacement for damage to the regular dining room table. I didn't even make a big deal about the damage to window screens they removed because they wanted to attempt to move things into a room through a window. I merely sought to get their insurance to pay for damages to a piece of expensive furniture. Overall, I would have to say that the customer service of this company is no longer as good as it was in 2017, and I do not recommend them to anyone. I am currently filing a complaint with the Bureau of Household Goods and Services and will continue to pursue the matter in other ways until it is resolved.

Communications with the company were clear and prompt. Scheduling to meet our needs went without a hitch. Price was reasonable. The two men who did the moving were hard workers and thoroughly professional. In all it was exactly the service we were looking for and exactly the experience we were hoping for.

On Time. Good guys. They took time and made sure all the big things were taken care of. Thing were wrapped that needed to be and they work quickly and efficiently. when they came back for the 2nd load they saw we were struggling to get everything packed, so they help us pack boxes. They worked until everything was done.

The Finch Moving company is spectacular.  I used them to move from Scripps Ranch to Escondido.  These guys are the best.  I got 4 movers and a truck.  The movers break any stereotype I ever held about movers.  These guys are professional, meticulous, very fast but efficient, and most importantly (to me) they handle everything with extreme care.  They wrap everything in plastic or in large moving cloths (or both) so that none of my appliances or furniture got any scratches...and they unwrap just as quickly on the other end and handle just as carefully.
By the way, if you can't line up when you have to leave your old place with when you get the keys to your new place (which was my situation) and you decide to use Pods and/or local storage (I used both...6 pods and 2 storage bins), it is still extremely worthwhile to use these Finch experts on both ends.  I only found out about them after I was already into the pods and storage bins.  It took me several days with help from relatives/friends to load up my pods and storage bins...but Finch moved me out of the storage bins, then up to Escondido, into the new house and unloaded all 6 pods in 4.5 hours.  If I had used Finch on the front end of my move, I wouldn't have needed 6 pods and 2 storage bins because the Finch professionals are geniuses about packing density.  I and my relatives loaded things randomly...but it became clear when Finch loaded my stuff out of my 2 large storage bins and packed the stuff expertly into their 26 ft truck, I could have gotten away with 1 storage bin and save $250 on the 2nd bin had I used Finch on the front end, and could have gotten away with just 4 pods instead of 6 that were only partially full because I and my friends aren't exactly experts at packing density.
Marina (who took my order) was very thorough and sent me a clear itemization of my expected charges.  My actual charges were less than the estimate and there were zero surprises, no fine print, no add-ons etc.  I've moved very many times throughout my career and these guys were the best professional movers and really economical (when I consider that I've accumulated more "stuff" now than in previous moves but this was one of the least expensive moves I've made in the last 15 yrs).  I am extremely happy with Finch Moving.

Finch Moving company was awesome.I moved from Lakeside to San Diego. I found them on google and checked this company on Angie's list. Though they did not have any reviews here I still decided to go with them. From my first call Marina answered all my questions in details and even suggested their estimate man coming for free. He told me that I needed three movers and it would take them approximately 4 - 5 hours to move my stuff. On the day of the move the uniformed crew showed up on time. They wrapped every single thing I had though I asked them not to in order to save time. But they insisted because they had to do it in compliance with insurance company policy. They did it really fast and nothing was damaged. One mover was packing the truck while other two were loading it. They were very polite and careful. It took them exactly 5 hours to move me as it was estimated. No additional or unexpected charges. Best San Diego moving company ever. I will use them again for future moves.
