Eric is the nicest, most polite person I have had the enjoyment of working with. We found Eric thru Angieslist. We had received another quote from LL, but did not like who they sent over, so we joined AL and found Eric. His quote was a bit less than the others we had, but it was not the price that hooked us. It was his eye contact, professionalism and honest answers that made us feel we found the right man for our project. We had about 832 sq feet to remove carpet and install hardwood floors. Part of the demolition also included removing title as the previous owner carpeted over the yucky title. We shipped off the 2 cats to the vets for 2 days of camp happy, and sent the dog to doggie daycare for the 2 days. This was to help our furry pets out, as they could not have taken the noise and disturbance. They stress out very easily. We were able to stay in the house while the work was being done. We moved most of the furniture from 2 bedrooms, a hall, an office, and living room to the garage. The team arrived on time and went to work right away. My husband has never seen a team work so well together. They did not need to be told what to do. They knew what needed to get done. They moved the two couches we could not as they were very heavy. They worked fast and on the first day had 70% of the work completed. They returned the 2nd day and finished the work quickly. They touched up the nail holes on the molding and calked around the baseboards. The finished product is absolutely amazing. We have not had a chance to show any of our friends yet, but we love the look, and can't believe we finally have our dream hardwood floors. Eric's team who did the install is his own crew, and I can't believe what a great job they did. If we ever need hardwood floors installed again, there is no one else we would call. Eric at Venetian is the only person/company I would trust. They offered to move the furniture back into the house, but we did it ourselves. I wanted to dust the entire house before the furniture came back in. It took us 2 days, but things are getting back in place. We ended up painting the spare bedroom, and liked the color so much that the master bedroom is now going to get painted as well. So that room is still empty. One thing Eric did when we asked about payment was quote California law. He would not charge us more than 10% for a down payment. Wow, I have never had a contractor quote California law to me before. Like I said, this company can be trusted!! They do great work and are honest.

Very happy overall. Eric is very responsive, punctual, and straightforward. Very focused on customer service and satisfaction. I got a few estimates and Venetian was the lowest by far. Decided to go with them because of the reviews on this website. The work was started and completed early. No surprises. They even installed a small area with tile as part of the service. Overall, very clean job. I would definitely use them again or recommend them to friends and family.

Eric and the crew was great, very professional, and the entire project went without any big problems. I was so happy with their services that Venetian Flooring also install the hardwood floor for my mother in law recently. The in-laws were just as happy.

Overall, everything went very smoothly. The team arrived on time, got right to work and finished the job on time. I love the floors, and it was the most stress free job yet!

Eric was a consummate professional from the first phone call right through to the final inspection of the job. Always prepared and on time for all appointments. Offered valued advice on pros/cons of various options, was up to date on current trends. Demo of the old floor accomplished in only a few hours and the house was left spotless. New floor installed in the time promised (less than a day) and the crew was efficient, neat and polite. Quality of work is excellent with great attention to detail.

Eric Choi was early both for the estimate appointment and the work appointment. He was very cordial and helpful. The estimate was reasonable since they were installing materials already purchased. The work was scheduled 2 days later and the installers were on time. I observed them, and they were very exact in their workmanship. They finished in under 4 hours and did a good job of cleaning up and replacing furniture. I would highly recommend Venetian Flooring System.

When we returned into town, we kept in touch with Eric on the progress of other damage repair done by other contractors. When I had about when the dishwasher should be re-installed, Eric came over to the house to discuss it rather than just merely talking over the phone. It required the company to store our pre-ordered flooring for months but they willingly did it. When I notified Eric when they could install the floor, it was set for 2 days later. Andrew, the installer, returned for the 2nd time and he works quickly, efficiently and is neat. It was a pleasure to do business with them.

We wanted to replace old carpets on first and second floors in a property we recently purchased with hardwood floor. I called Eric and scheduled a time to look at some samples. He arrived at my house early (we met quite a few times during the project and he was never late, always showed up earlier than the scheduled time) and brought some nice samples. I picked one that I liked (Terry Cotta Maple - By Max Windsor) and he quoted me a good price that includes replacing all the baseboards with new ones, so I gave the job to him. Eric came back to take the measurements and calculated the overall price and we scheduled an original date of installation. A few days later, Eric's team came to the house and removed the carpet and prepared the floor. They also painted the baseboard with the paint I provided. Due to an oversight on the manufacturer's part, the wood floor we ordered was not in the container that was shipped out from the manufacturing facility, which eventually delayed the installation for about 3 weeks; however, unlike one would usually expect, Eric didn't simple say, "look, it's not my fault that your installation will be delayed. You're just gonna have to wait." He drove all the way to Ranco Cucamonga (almost 40 miles away) and brought back another sample from a new product line that looks very similar to the one we picked, JUST in case we might consider using it. He also negotiated a discount with the manufacturer to give us a discount and his company actually contributed much more to the discount than the manufacturer even though the delay was entirely caused by the manufacturer. After carefully comparing the new and original samples, we decided to stay with the original pick and wait till the new shipment came in. During the wait, Eric kept us updated about the shipment so that we could better schedule other contracting work and our move. When the material finally arrived, Eric and one of his teams, led by Andrew, showed up on time and completed the job in two days. Andrew and his team did a wonderful job installing both the floor and the baseboards. They paid attention to details; all the nail holes on the baseboards were patched and repainted. The finished floor looked absolutely beautiful. We are glad we stayed with the original pick and waited. Overall, it had been a great experience working with Eric. He's not just a good and responsible contractor, but a nice person that you can trust as a friend. I really appreciate all he has done for us during the project and would recommend his company to anyone who needs to have hardwood floor done.

This was a great experience! We were very impressed with all the representatives of this company, from the sales person, Eric, to the hardworking installers. The work was completed in only two days, and they were actually finished and all cleaned up by 1:00 on the second day. The floors look wonderful. We especially appreciated the fact that they replaced and painted all the baseboards in all the rooms at no extra charge. Perhaps this was built in to the cost, but we certainly didn't feel we had been overcharged. All in all, I would recommend this company to anyone considering new wood or laminate flooring (I don't believe they do tile).

We were desperate to replace our old carpet and tile floors in our home. We wanted a rustic hardwood since we have little dogs and we were seeking an updated look. Our challenge was to find the right product and vendor to fit our needs. Before I discovered Angie s List, my husband and I spent a year shopping, interviewing, and getting quotes from various flooring contractors. We looked at hundreds of styles, driving from town to town, lugging heavy wood samples in and out of our house, and never really finding the perfect fit. It was also important for us to find the right contractor fit. We realized that much of our indecisiveness stemmed from our long history dealing with home improvement contractors who were unreliable, did shoddy work, and treated us rudely. We became very leery of hiring anyone to come into our home again. After telling of my woes to a friend, she thought we would be the perfect candidates for Angie s list. We researched and signed on immediately. Venetian flooring was the first vendor to show up on our Angie s List search for hardwood flooring. They were close and had excellent reviews! We immediately placed a call. Eric Choi answered our call in person on the first try. We made our initial appointment right away. During that phone conversation, he asked detailed questions about what look and function we were seeking in a hardwood. He then showed up at our home on time and had all the samples needed for us to make a decision. We did not have to go to a showroom or haul samples on our own. He had listened to our needs and brought only those choices that would fit. We ended up choosing the very first sample he recommended. Eric did all the measuring and calculating on the first visit and gave us an estimate on the spot. We called back the next week with our decision and made the installation appointment for two weeks later. Eric said that they could possibly complete the entire project, including the tear out of our old tile and carpet, the installation of the hardwood, and new baseboards, in just one day. We found that hard to believe, so we made sure one of us was available for two full days just in case. Eric showed up with his crew right on time and they began working immediately. They did in fact, finish the entire project on Thursday just as Eric predicted. We have never seen a crew of four men work so well together. We were very impressed with their craftsmanship, neatness and orderliness. Eric was there to check on the project throughout the day and made sure he communicated with us at all times. We felt very secure the entire time they were in our home that the job would get done right. The end result is absolutely beautiful! We thoroughly enjoy our new look. For the first time ever, we are happy to remember the wonderful experience of a home improvement project. We are pleased to recommend Venetian and Eric Choi to anyone interested in new flooring.

Another solid hit from a company recommended on Angie's list. Eric Choi and his team came in on a Saturday, due to our move in schedule. A team of 5 guys did a beautiful job in one day. We have to large dogs and primarily selected this Bruce Park Avenue laminate because of it's resistance to scratching. When Eric estimated the job we asked about real wood, and he could have easily convinced us to spend 200% of our budget on another product. Instead, he told us we were making the right choice and he was right. Real integrity.

Eric was very prompt and he was able to identify the right wood to match flooring already in home. He gave us an estimate the same day and the work was scheduled on the days I requested. The crew worked hard and finished in 1 day requiring them to stay later then scheduled just to complete the job. I was impressed with their work and the floors look great!! They cleaned up thoroughly when done with the job and we were delighted from start to finish. Eric is very organized and a pleasure to work with!

We wanted to have our floor put in as soon as possible, Eric came out on a Sunday morning to show us samples but we decided ultimately to go with the same wood. The written order was placed in a plastic folder together with a copy of the co. license certificate, proof of workmen's comp & state board owner's guidelines. The order was placed with the distributor on Monday, 2/11/08, Venetian got it the next day & scheduled installation on 2/14. Because of our past experience, Eric did not accept any additional money other than a $200 deposit until the job was completed. Eric was in constant communication with us, even re-calling shortly after leaving a voice mail just to confirm it was received & keeping us updated; he is professional, very reactive, knowledgeable & friendly. On installation day, he arrived before them. His 3 installers were efficient, worked quietly & even offered to pick up lunch for me when they went out. Eric works hard & his company deserves to be a success.

I have done many remodeling projects in my house dealing with many contractors. So far every contractor frustrated or disappointed me a little or a big time until we met Eric. When my friend referred Venetian Flooring System to me with such a high recommendation, I thought it would be just another OK contractor that I have been dealing with. At the first meeting for measurement, Eric came 20 minutes earlier and said he would never like to be late. That was a good impression to me, cuz other contractors always been late. We were thrilled but also nervous, cuz we've been sitting on this project for 4 years. The construction lasted 4 days. The team came on time every single day and worked very very hard. We love our new floors. My house looks brand new. They did an exceptional job and looked for details that when I noticed, was amazed. Not typical of most. I've put their # in my cell phone. I will recommend them to everyone I meet and want the # handy. I wish they did more than floors.
