At the first visit the technician said it was the thermostat. I asked if he was sure. He said yes. Paid $500, received $150 rebate and it didn't do the trick. Had another technician come out to see what else it could be. He said it was likely another part. I paid just short of $500. It didn't do the trick. The same technician came back, suggested a different fix that cost me $400. It worked this time. Nice guys. Finally got it fixed. I know these things are not always exact but all said I'd take my chances next time with someone else. Beyond the warranty period of course.

I used their service two years ago to find out why my furnace was blowing out cold air. I purchased $45 Angie Special of furnace inspection and cleaning and was very satisfied. Brian, the owner, found that a plug on the interior panel had come loose, thus the reason for the cold air. There was no additional charge. Today, for a $69 Angie Special, Erik inspected the furnace, replaced the filter and installed a battery operated carbon dioxide detector. He said my furnace was in great shape and wasn't dirty enough for cleaning. He was polite and efficient. I certainly would use this company again.

This was an awful experience. I called to make an appointment for a simple A/C maintenance and diagnostic check and was quoted $79 for each A/C unit before the Angie's List 10% discount. They also told me they'd include several sizes of air filters on their van so we'd be covered there, since I didn't know what sizes we had. I'm still amazed they managed to screw things up so badly: 1. On the day of the appointment Erik called and wanted to come out a few hours early. I told him I couldn't do that and he then said he'd be at our house at 1:00. I arrive home at 12:45 and then proceed to wait for two hours. No update from him the entire time until I called and left a voicemail politely pointing out that he said he would be at our house at 1 and to ask if he'd be able to make it. After a while he called back and said it would take another half hour to get to our house. 2. He finally arrives. No apology or acknowledgment of the fact that he had kept me waiting for hours, which he knew I was annoyed about when I talked to him earlier. 3. He leaves without replacing the air filters, which was supposed to be included with the maintenance service (this is what I was told and it's right on their webpage). 4. He charges us $79 total for each unit (we have two). No Angie's List discount. 5. When I discover all this I'm forced to call him and ask where the new air filters are and why there's no discount. He promises he'll talk to his boss tomorrow about the filters and drop off new ones. We never hear from them again about this. 6. The next morning my husband calls to check their quote on A/C maintenance and diagnostic, and purposely doesn't mention Angie's List. He's quoted $79. I then call the office to ask about the discount. Kelly then proceeds to tell me that price is actually $89 and that the $79 is with the discount! I tell her that no, my husband just confirmed the price is $79 and also that 10% off $89 is not $79. She continues to argue with me, lying about various details that I easily refute. She then promises to have the owner call me. 7. I wait. No call from the owner all day. I finally call back at the end of the day and am transferred to Brian's office, which turns out to be his voicemail. I leave a message and he calls back. I start to describe the situation to him and he also starts arguing with me, saying that they still came out within their window. I tell him that doesn't apply because Erik told me he would be there at a specific time. He then starts getting nasty, saying he doesn't like the way I'm speaking to him or his employees (you mean, calling them out on their repeated lies?) and brags about how they keep recordings of all their phone calls (great, so you have recordings of all their lies!). He then said he would refund all my money, which he did. That was then end of my interaction with them. In short, they made a complete mess of a simple customer service issue. I gave them repeated opportunities to salvage the situation and they just kept doubling down, arguing and lying. The only reason I'm not giving them an F is because they refunded our money. I would not even have bothered writing this review if Brian had simply apologized for his employees' mistakes. Truly unprofessional and dishonest behavior. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I was pleased with the initial visit. I found Bill to be professional and honest, whereas we had been told by another company we need a new compressor. He told me there was nothing wrong with ours and still had good life. They were due to come in the fall for my 'winter' maintence. I hadn't received a postcard, email etc, so I placed a call to them and they came out in November 23,2015. My 'spring' maintence for the hot summer months should have been scheduled in April or May, again I received no notification. I had completely forgot about it until this past weekend. I called this morning around 9:30 and spoke to Kelly and explained I was pretty sure I was due for a maintenance call under my contract. Of course with the extremely high tempatures these last few days, they were extremely busy. She asked if she could call me back so she could look into and get it straightened out. By 4:45 I hadn't received a return call (in the meantime I looked at my paperwork and determined I was indeed due for a service I had prepaid. I asked why I had not been contacted and was told, 'I should have received an email or something and it was not set up correctly'. I have no idea what that means. They had no problem sending me an email to invoice me. An appointment was scheduled for Monday, July 18th. I am not pleased that I prepaid for these two visits and in both instances I had to call and remind them. It states right on the paperwork 'Dynamic Services will call you and schedule your Bi Annual Mainenance every Spring and Fall'. From my perception had I not called, I would have paid for a service I never received.

Bill Kean did a wonderful job of providing us with many options for controlling the humidity in a home at the beach.  The house is closed up for long periods of time and we started to experience high humidity levels in the home. While we did not purchase all of the items he suggested, we already are seeing a marked difference in the humidity levels in the home with the above installed items.  His installers were very nice and professional, very careful with our home. Bill has been great answering any questions I have in a timely matter.

  • We called Dynamic early August for A/C that was blowing warm air. Told we needed fan replaced for approx $450. Fan replaced, still no cold air. Told that now a new compressor would be needed and would be back at later date. Appt set, priced at an additional $2000.00. 12 days later compressor replaced and service tech was at our home over 8 hours at our home spending a lot of time on the phone consulting his company. After 8 hours A/C still blowing warm air! I informed the tech that it still not not feel cool and he told me we had a high heat load in the house and that it would take some time. He then made another phone call and came in the house to tell me that there was most likely another problem with a valve that was not properly working. He told me to leave A/C on for a few days to see if it started to work. A week later, still no cold air. Appointment made for tech to come out once again. Tech showed up 40 min late and did not have correct part so another appointment was needed. Was told that they were "all booked up" and would come next week! Appointment set for following week and tech came to replace valve. No price was quoted. New invoice provided following payment in full of agreed upon price. We were not home when work was finally completed as we had already missed plenty of work meeting this company at our home with multiple failed attempts at fixing the very same problem. So Invoice emailed. A few days later, received an email from owner of the company threatening to add additional fees and interest if we don't call them with a credit card number. Truly a disappointment from start to finish. Would not recommend. Only time they were in a rush was to collect money and that was after already being paid over $2500 for repairs that hadn't fixed our problem. 




Owner states we are not a customer in his response. That is an attempt to protect his reputation and an outright lie. Again, points to the credibility of this vendor. Buyer beware!

I personally talked with you about and thought you were satisfied with our work. Even on the last day for the final repair when you said you would be calling our office to pay the invoice We diagnosed your AC and you approved the recommended repairs. Because you had a vacation coming up you didn’t schedule the work to be completed until 12 days later. Your system had a lot of problems that were caused by the person who relocated the AC unit previously. We did spend a lot of time working on it because so many unexpected issues came up because the system was not moved properly. I guess that’s what happens when you pay someone in Beer to work on your AC. We spent extra time and materials trying to get the system working after the compressor replacement but there was too much damage to other parts of the system because of dirt in the refrigerant lines. We ended up making the final repairs when we said we would and your system is working perfectly now I personally spoke with you about every step of this process and am surprised that you were not happy after the final repair. After you would not call our office to pay the final invoice or would not respond to our multiple phone calls and emails we assumed you were trying to not pay the invoice. I informed you about the fees associated with not paying an invoice that you signed and agreed to. As of today you still have not paid the invoice for the repairs We would love to resolve this with you Brian President"

I am satisfied with the work considering that the ducts replaced were asbestos! However the price of the whole job was difficult for me, and the new unit is noisy. I have asked them to come out and check the fan on the internal unit.

It went MARVELOUSLY from the very start.  First, I interviewed four other companies before choosing Dynamic.  Dynamic was THE ONLY BIDDER who explained WHY they were suggesting what they were suggesting.  All alternatives were discussed. Other companies came, briefly looked around and gave me a bid with little explanation.  Dynamic took the time with me and made me recognize and appreciate their level of professionalism and expertise. Dynamic was THE ONLY BIDDER who explained the permit system and testing of the system post-installation.  BEWARE OF ANY CONTRAACTOR IN THIS FIELD WHO SAYS THAT THEY WILL DO THE JOB WITHOUT PULLING A PERMIT.  There was ONE such bidder with very high Angie's List comments WHO SAID THAT THEY WOULD DO THIS JOB WITHOUT A PERMI!!!  I was shocked and did not hire them!  Here is something that really impressed me:  Other companies wanted to sell me expensive new grates.  They said that such were needed for the new system they were proposing.  Dynamic told me that I didn't need the grates and even if I did, they would charge me FAR LESS than what the other companies said they would charge, but DYNAMIC SAID THAT THEY WEREN'T NEEDED!  How is that for honesty?

Dynamic's men who came to do the actual work over a period of days were all professional, courteous and knowledgeable.  If something didn't work just right, EVEN IF I WAS TOTALLY UNWARE OF THE PROBLEM, they came back in and fixed it AT NO ADDED COST TO ME.  And they were there at all times to answer questions.  During the Title 24 tested by the outside firm, which had to be done legally for this system (NOTE; NO OTHER BIDDERS EVEN DISCUSSED THE NEED FOR THIS!!), Dynamic was here with them helping with information.  The system passed with flying colors and turned out to be as efficient as they promised that it would.

After it was all installed and passed the outside testing, I received A FULL PAMPHLET OF INFORMATION, INCUDING THE BID AND BREAKDOWN OF COSTS AND A RUNNING HISTORY OF THE EVENTS WHICH OCCURED, ALL IN WRITING.  IMPRESSIVE.  Dynamic explained about the permit process and closing out the permit which will be very helpful to me.

ALL IN ALL, DYNAMIC PROVIDES  AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE, AMAZING WORK AND A HIGH LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION.  I HIGHLY AND STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO YOU.

I love the communication the company provided.  They sent me emails advising of my appointment time and the email had a picture of the technician that was coming to my home.  Art was wonderful and kind. He explained to me what he was doing, showed me the testing, and explained the options available for my service.  I truly appreciate Dynamic Air.  They have my AC up and running and I am now cool again.  Thank you very, very much!
