From the second I met James, I knew that I was going to be working with 1st Choice Heating & Air on replacement of my entire HVAC system including furnace, condenser, coil, ducting, and t-stat. I previously met with four different “HVAC” companies, and really wasn’t impressed with any of them. I pretty much knew what I wanted in terms of equipment, but I was amazed how so many contractors were quick to disregard my thoughts and tried to push me to the system that THEY wanted me to have. When I met with James, he listened to MY concerns and helped narrow down a few final choices to land on a system that was best for ME! James was responsive to my initial request for a meeting and on all follow up questions I had, and scheduling the work was simple and fast. Because I needed a whole system replacement, the installation process needed two days. Day 1 was the Mike and Mike show. These guys showed up on time and ready to work. It was clear that both Mikes had extensive experience and that both took great pride in their work. They were respectful of our house and treated it as their own. About midway through the day, James came by to check on the work and to see if I had any questions. By mid-afternoon, all my old equipment and ducts were removed and the new furnace, coil, and condenser were installed. I also relocated my condenser to a new location, so they had the new line set completely rerouted. At the end of the day, they thoroughly cleaned up their work areas even though they knew they would be working in those same areas again the next day. Day 2 was installation of duct work in the attic, replacement of all the inside registers, installation of the t-stat, and the final touches and equipment testing. Again, everyone showed up on time and actually finished the work earlier than anticipated. I’ve had my new system for about two weeks, and it’s absolutely incredible. I rarely write reviews, but in this case, I was so impressed by 1st Choice Heating & Air that I couldn’t resist. If you’re looking for an honest, hard-working, and experienced HVAC contractor at a fair price – these are the guys! From this point forward, 1st Choice Heating & Air will be my go-to-guys for any HVAC related issue, and I highly recommend that they be yours too. --Rich M. (Lake Forest)

It went well. After I mentioned the symptoms, technician knew exactly what could possibly be causing the problem. He tested the furnace, heard the symptoms. He checked the furnace and concluded a part was failing due to the age of the furnace. He replaced the part. He also gave me a discount 1st Choice Heating and A/C offers on Yelp. The heater works like a charm now. Thank you.

You can tell James (the owner) really cares about his company's reputation. He still provides old school customer service, which is rare these days. He almost always answered the phone, or called right back. He provided a great quote and performed quality work. He has a great team that works with him. We had new air ducts installed, and we will definitely use this company when we are ready for a new A/C.

We had an urgent need to replace our AC during a heat wave and received great service from 1st Choice Heating & Air Conditioning. The technician who came out to our house to diagnose the initial problem (Jeff) was punctual, knowledgeable and provided great service including several options for us to consider based on price points, equipment etc. James the owner scheduled a crew of 5 people to come out and due the work on a Saturday and they worked throughout the day to complete the job by the deadline provided. James also had his crew come out on numerous occasions (for free) to help tweak the AC settings to ensure we received the optimal cooling for our home. It could NOT have gone any better. 1st Choice (James and Chris) were absolutely incredible. Went to the house to inspect and confirm the unit was bad on the same day I spoke with them. Gave me a quote (which was less than the competition), then had the unit installed the following day-all of this in the peak summer season. What a great company. I will only use them in the future.

We needed to replace our entire HVAC system, but we had been very unlucky with all our previous HVAC service experiences. We asked our family, friends, and even our church, but nobody was able to give us a good referral. I turned to social media to try and research who would be the best companies to bid our job. I noticed 1st Choice Heating & Air Conditioning was the ONLY company I could find on ANY website (Yelp, Angies List, Lennox, Google Reviews) that had EVERY single review rated with 5 Stars, Very Impressive!!! In all of the reviews it mentioned how honest, knowledgeable and friendly they were. I gave them a call, and James came out to my home that same day to take pictures and give me a free estimate. He was so friendly and patient and took his time answering all of my various questions. He was very knowledgeable about all of the Lennox products and was very honest about which products would most benefit us, given the size of our home and our energy use needs. I knew immediately after my experience with James, that this was a company that I could trust wholeheartedly. After all of the competing bids were received, 1st Choice Heating & Air Conditioning had the bid with the highest quality products with the most competitive price. FYI - Their price beat 2 different Costco vendors for identical products by over $2,000 even after all of the rebates and discounts had been included. The installation day was seamless! James, Chis, Mike and Jeff could not have been more friendly and professional. It was such a pleasant experience. Best of all we are already enjoying our HVAC system which is so energy efficient and quiet. I have found our new HVAC vendor for life!!! 1st Choice Heating and Air just completed a full A/C and heating install on my home, replacing a 20 year old system with a new efficient system and moving the furnace up to the attic (instead of the closet in our living room...why did they think that was a good idea 20 years ago?) First off: the bid. Owner James came to my house and gave a full comprehensive bid on the project. He priced out several different options, letting us choose what was best for our budget. He's a super friendly guy, was great with my kids (my five year old will talk the ear off of anyone who pauses what they're doing for more than half a second) and I felt confident he would treat my house and this project with the same care he would use in his own home. I was right. The team that came to do the work on our house was Chris, Mike and Jeff. They were awesome! So much respect for our home and our needs, even when I made crazy requests (like hey, while you're on that 20 foot ladder, can you dust that corner cobweb I can't reach? Sure!) They completed the work on time and exceeded our expectations for quality and care. James came every day to check on the team and make sure everything was going well. All in all, I'm 110% satisfied, and will recommend 1st Choice to anyone who needs A/C work done.

These guys are PROS! James is seriously experienced with ac units and furnaces.. I had two other companies out and they could not find the issue and caused more damage. Called 1st choice they arrived on time, reasonable prices for services. Definitely fair honest guys. HIGHLY RECOMMEND these guys.

James, Chris and Jeff installed a new furnace, redid all the duct work in the attic and installed a new central air conditioning unit. They are the best. They were always here on time and were extremely neat. They have excellent customer service values and are very pleasant to be around. They are Extremely Trustworthy and Honest. They do not price gouge and gave us an outstanding deal on a complete system! I have already recommended them to a couple friends and will continue to do so.
