About us

Our legacy began over 50 years ago as current owner Cesare Del Prato worked on televisions and appliances in Italy at the age of 15. He moved to California in 1960 to find work repairing appliances in the U.S. After landing in Gardena, he began working for an appliance repair shop to refine his skills. After a successful 10 years in Gardena, it came time for Cesare to move with his wife and three children to Mission Viejo in 1970. There, he started his own appliance repair business. In 1971, Cesare moved the company to Laguna Niguel offering appliance service, parts, and sales to the wonderful community in which he and his family live. He and his wife ran the business together for several years with their children eventually expanding office personnel, shop help and field techs in the company's current location.

They came and looked at the problem and said they would get back with me but did not. I called several times and was told the manager would call me but did not. I had used Caesar's numerous times in the past and they had always done an excellent job. I don't know what happened? Maybe they changed ownership.

They were unable to repair the stove which was understandable, however to get clarification on what could be done required multiple calls on my part (multiple calls from me went unanswered) and only got an answer when I got the senior manager involved.

Was able to perform same day service.  Figured out why my fridge was broken and performed all the required maintenance to get it back up and running within 40 minutes!  He had all the parts in his truck so I didn't have to worry about him making two trips to fix the problem.  Great experience and a pleasure to do business with.

Their price is fair.  They are professional.  They work and came in a timely manner.    I will not recommend them as much as I will recommend Ocean Air not because they were bad but Ocean Air has been around town for many years, probably 20 or longer, and I use them and I have a relationship with them.  Caesar?s, I have to call them for small jobs.  Ocean Air came and put in my air conditioning years ago and they worked on my heater which is a bigger job.  However, Caesar?s is professional, they did a good job, they came quickly and the guys were knowledgeable.  One thing was with the clothes washer which he did not know what was going on with and he did not know how to repair it and I felt that he was really honest about that and I appreciate those things.  

The quality of work is good.

Showed up within the slotted time and repaired in just a couple of minutes. Price was on the high end of estimate but low comparative to other companies. Still fair for the provider considering the cost of the part and time spent. Recommended.

I normally use Sears to repair all my appliances through a warranty, but as my fridge is now 6 years old, it was getting too expensive to maintain the warranty and not really worth the $350 price tag. I had scheduled an appointment for Sears to do a straight repair and I was told the cost would be $79.95 just to turn up, plus parts and labor. I was fine with this until I got a call from the Sears repairmen the day of my repair appointment. He was calling to confirm the appointment and also asked me what the problem was. When I told him, he proceeded to tell me that the repair would cost at least $300. I asked him how he could be certain of that without diagnosing the problem in person, to which he replied and quot;you already told me the problem and everyone has to make their money.and quot; I promptly cancelled the appointment with Sears and was lucky enough to find Caesar's applicance repairs on Angie's list.
The technician was completely professional and so honest that we are still in shock. Over the phone he had estimated the job to cost about $200, but when he arrived in person he quickly found the problem to be a minor issue. We had the temperature control set too high for the bottom crisper and it was causing the water line going to the water dispenser to freeze, thus causing the water to dispense super slowly.
We are totally sold on Caesar's and I will only use them going forward for all my appliance repairs. We couldn't be happier with the outcome of our experience with Caesar's.

I've been using him when needed since 1970. He is the go-to guy around here for appliance repairs. He does parts and service and as far as I and many of my neighbors are concerned, he's the only guy in town.

The technician Caesar's sent to our job was great. He was the same tech we used on another property about a year ago, so we were pleased to see him again.
Our GE built-in refrigerator wasn't working, so he replaced the main board. Unfortunately, although the board was bad, this didn't resolve the problem and we had to call in a specialist (recommended by the tech.) So we did have to pay for a service call that perhaps wasn't necessary if we had just had the name of the other company to begin with. Who knew?
BUT, our tech was good, and he checked out other appliances, making minor adjustments as needed.
I have them on speed dial now, as the service tech is good at what he does, and very honest.

Technician arrived and thoroughly checked all operation of the ice maker which had been malfunctioning in the past. Verified that operation was as designed. System has worked properly ever since and we have a warrantly on the work perfomed just in case in acts up again.

I went in and bought the part (it cost less than what Sears charges). Then they told me how to install it. But, what really helped is that they told me the instructions were on Youtube. Sure enough, a video showed all of the steps to replace the part. It was pretty easy.

We have a home warranty (pay $60 for a service call), and were referred to Caesar's. Super nice guy, diagnosed the problem quickly and ordered a new and quot;boardand quot; for the oven. I might give them an A- rating because of the length of time it took to get the part, but we were very satisfied with the service. We were told it was the company our warranty service required the part to be ordered from that took so long. Very professional, quick and friendly. Will use them again!

I liked them. They were pretty good. I used them through a home warranty. They were very good about giving me the information to follow up on the delivery and all that. Then I decided to take the cash instead of the oven and they were really quick with a check. They sent it within two days.

Caesar's came and diagnosed the problem and gave an estimate. They issued a firm quote and scheduled the repair based on delivery of the part from Sub Zero. The repairman came within their 4 hour window and completed the repair very professionally. I am certain my Sub Zero will breakdown again. I will be calling Caesar's for and additional needs.
