Description of Work: I had set up an appointment for Saddleback Appliance Service to repair a gas range top at a rental property. My tenant was only available for a morning appointment and when I explained that to the Saddleback rep, I was told that I could specify a service call before 12:00 noon if I waited until the middle of the following week for the call. The afternoon before the scheduled service call I was contacted by Saddleback Appliance to let me know that the service person would arrive between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. the following day. I had already confirmed with my tenant to be home in the morning, and he had already waited several days for the repair to be sure that the service call would be made in the a.m. When I spoke with the owner/manager at Saddleback Appliance, he refused to honor the original time frame, and essentially said that they NEVER specify morning or afternoon appointments even when appointments are made weeks in advance. Extremely frustrated at the inconsideration of customer's time, and not honoring the commitment that their service rep made.

We chose Saddleback Appliance because they are a family owned business. We didn't want to have to deal with an impersonal customer service department for a large chain if there were issues that needed to be resolved. The store is not your typical glitzy showroom. It's more of a warehouse environment. We found that instead of glitz, we received a lot of help and advice as well as a very competitive price. Brigette, one of the owners, aka "The Queen of Appliances", spent about an hour with us going over what we wanted from our new appliances. She gave us a lot of information to take home and look over. She also e-mailed a couple of quotes for different brands that she thought would best meet our needs. There was no attempt to upsell or push us into buying before we were ready. We had all the time we wanted to research the different brands and models and make up our minds. The only hiccup was a miscommunication regarding the delivery. We had specified that we wanted a professional appliance installation company that they use to deliver and install everything. Instead their regular delivery guys came. They had no problem with the washer and dryer. However, the microwave bracket needed to be installed into granite and the gas outlet needed to be repositioned for the range. The delivery guys called the store and within 15 minutes we were called back letting us know that the installation company would be there the next day, even though that was a Saturday. This was why we wanted to go with a smaller local company. They were able to resolve the problem immediately with no effort on our part. After all was installed, there was some delay getting the necessary paperwork to apply for rebates. It turned out that one of their principal employees had heart surgery and they were severely short handed. Never the less, they made every effort to get everything handled as quickly as they were able and kept me informed about what was happening. We are very happy with the appliances and doubt we could have made as good a choice without all the advice and help we received. We would definitely use Saddleback Appliances again.

THE GUY WAS ARROGANT AND HE DIDN'T DO ANY WORK. IT WAS VERY INCONVENIENT. WE WAITED FIVE DAYS FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS SO EASY TO FIX. THEY HAD SOMEBODY CALL BACK AFTER WE FIRST CALLED. YOU JUST GET AN ANSWERING MACHINE WHEN YOU CALL, YOU DON'T GET TO TALK TO ANYBODY. THEY SAID THEIR HOURS WERE A CERTAIN TIME AND WE WAITED FOR THEM TO COME. IF IT HAD BEEN ANYTHING SERIOUS WE WOULD HAVE GONE WITH SOMEONE ELSE.
Description of Work: THE WATER WASN'T COMING OUT OF THE DISHWASHER. HE SAID SOMETHING WAS STUCK AND HE JIGGLED IT AROUND.
