+ -1 moreI made an appointment online to bring my 2000 Volvo S70 in later that week. I wanted them to give it a once-over in preparation for a long trip, and to see what they could do with the AC that worked intermittently. Larry was quite familiar with the AC problem, it being common to Volvos, and said he could fix it by replacing the AC clutch ($650 +/-) instead of the whole compressor ($1200 +). No other shops/dealers in the past have given that as an option, hence it had never been repaired. That gave me an immediate sense that he knew Volvos and wasn't going to gouge me. That probably helped when he called me later that morning with the laundry list of overdue service and repairs. The car hadn't been serviced in a while and had spent most of its life on the east coast, exacerbating some of the problems He went over all of the items with me and why he recommended their repair, again giving me a comfort level that he knew his stuff and that he was being straight with me. I gave the go-ahead and they were done by the end of the next day. And the AC now blows cold and continuously
Description of Work: 110,000 mile service, including new belts and water pump. Replace brake pads and rotors and parking brake drums. Replace air conditioner 'clutch'.
