He originally said he could do it for $60. He then sent it to Hunter Douglas, and it cost $90 inc. shipping. Another place quoted me $45 in house,but it was in Novato.

Te entire experience was excellent. Their fabric selections are extensive but they will also use fabric you purchase directly and send to them. The workmanship was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

The owner of Armand's is Vern. Each of the two times that we have used Armand's started with a telephone call to their store. In each case we received an immediate response from someone in the store, and then an appointment in our home with Vern within 24 hours. Vern is punctual, amusing, and professional. The idea that he comes to the house to take window measurements is fantastic. It made the process simple for us and assured us that the curtains would be the right size for each window.
Vern brought books of fabric samples to choose from and discussed the type of curtains we were looking for. Our order was for custom made fabric curtains, but Vern also sells blinds. After deciding on the style and fabric we gave Vern a deposit for the curtains. Vern had the curtains hand made in his shop, and when they were ready, he returned and installed them in our kitchen. Vern cleaned up after himself and removed the wrapping materials.
During our time with Vern, he made a couple of suggestions for other home care providers that he had experience with. We trusted his recommendations and have had good experiences with his recommendations. I have paid a little less for blinds through a hardware store, but did not receive the personal attention, the measuring and installation labor, nor the fabric or style choices.

I was very happy with the finished product and the professionalism of the salesperson, Tracy. She was always helpful and punctual. I did call some of the other places listed on your website that said they were more reasonable, but when I told them the exact fabric name and dimensions, the prices were almost identical. I do think sometimes that people tend to think one place is more expensive than another because they don't compare apples to apples.

VERN WAS HELPFUL IN NARROWING DOWN OUR CHOICES FOR THE WINDOWS. INSTALLERS WERE TIMELY and POLITE.
