They went above and beyond to get my job done within my timeline and were very helpful in advising me on design solutions to issues that surfaced as we got into the project. Remodeled kitchen, bath and added a powder room and reran almost every interior plumbing line in the house.

We hired them to replace a faucet and fix a leaky toilet. They were speedy and did a great job at reasonable price. Would definitely hire them again.

They came on time, on short notice, to put in a t-valve for new sprinkler system. Identified a defective pressure reducing valve which they replaced, resolving a long standing low pressure issue. With the new one, they did not have a working pressure gauge with them, but came the next day (no extra charge), checked the new pressure and raised it appropriately.

In all fairness, Starving Plumbers brought two plumbers for what should have been a one person job, spent 4 hours completing the work and took a short cut on installing the dryer vent (instead of tapping into the existing vent system that expels the air outside the home as desired, they simply set up the dryer exhaust to expel directly into the basement and didn't affix it to a structure). The plumbing work, however, is functional and meets intent. Overall labor charge (minus materials) averaged at >$230 per hour per person (and one of the plumbers sat idle for most of the job clocking time). When questioned about the amount charged in comparison to the work, we were able to negotiate with customer service the cost of the job down to just over $205 per hour per person. But even that rate exceeds standard labor rates for Marin by $55 per hour. Lessons learned: 1. Comparison shop with multiple estimates and do not trust the first contractor you pull off this website as providing a competitive offer; 2. These guys treat what I expected to be an estimate like a contract, so be wary.
