Again, all I got was the estimate, but felt it was very good and he was very professional.  I would use them if I had this type of work again.

Ben, of CertaPro Painters in Tustin, was not the first painter I call on Angie’s list. He was the first to call me back.    Like so many people these days, I have older parents that have neglected much needed maintenance on their home. My folks needed flooring, and we were all set to have that done, but what to do about the walls? They needed paint bad.   I found Ben on Angie’s list and left him a brief message.  Ben got right back to me, and was at our house the next morning.  Ben brings it, office in a bag, printer and all.   In less then an hour he gave me a quote (printed out) that was a lot less then I expected. Most important, Ben had a crew ready to start the next business day. I needed this job done fast. And it was.     Ben’s professional painters worked fast and did a great job. What would have taken days to do myself, he had finished in less then two - plenty of time to dry before the flooring went in.    Fast, professional, and a fair price, that’s my experience with Ben of CertaPro Painters.

Ben is a very good salesperson and wanted to make sure we were happy the whole time. We were very clear that we expected clean lines and a top-notch quality job. The exterior was painted first. We had to have the guys come back and respray our patio because it looked like it only had one coat and they completely missed a brand new door to an outdoor closet. They were able to come out and fix it in a timely manner. The interior of the home has a lot of wainscotting, baseboards, and crown moulding. The crew was to spray all of the trim and roll the color on the walls. We were promised that the person who would be spraying was an expert and had been doing this for 35 years. However, when the crew showed up, it was the "experienced" sprayer's nephew doing the work. The spray was dripping in areas and not the clean job we were hoping for. There was a lot of overspray on the trim and they cut-in the color of the walls with spray which dripped on the trim. They sprayed all the doors in the house (which we took off the hinges) and then they set them against the freshly painted walls which caused paint transfer. Ben was open to our concerns and had his crew out the following week to fix all of our issues, but this postponed our move-in date which cost us more money in the long run. I feel like the job was rushed and this is why there was so many mistakes. I feel like most of the mistakes were visible and should have been fixed prior to a final walk through. I went with CertaPro because they have a warranty on their services and this made me feel comfortable. Overall I am happy with the job that was performed, but it could have been a better experience. The painters were very nice and respectful of our home.

This guy is tops.  I can't find a fault.  Ben Robinson's presentation was excellent.  Very polite, thorough, and excellent.  The three people that performed the work were very knowledgeable, understanding, and professional.  They really knew what they were doing.  It was an excellent experience.

There were no surprises!  The estimate presentation/package was very detailed.  Ben printed out a detailed estimate after we did a walk through of the house.  We had three estimates and CertaPro's price was in the middle.  They were able to start the week we requested.  We were kept informed of what was going to be done each day.  The men cleaned up at the end of each day.  The job was neat and clean.  Everyone was very polite!

Excellent - I would recommend them for the next job.

Overall we were satisfied with Ben, Igor and the rest of their crew's work.  They were able to knock out a pretty big job including lots of drywall patches, installing new baseboards and a complete painting of the house's interior in about 5 days. When they were done, everything looked great with only a couple of extra touchups needed (which they were happy to address before they left.)
We're planning on getting the exterior repainted soon, and would have no problems calling them back out for more work.

They performed all work as promised. They answered all my questions quickly and professionally. They even sanded down some spots from the past paint job that resembled birth marks at my request. They were awesome!!!

It went okay.  The experience was okay.  The punctual was a little okay.  They told me it was going to take a week to get the whole house done, but it took them almost two.  So they were way behind schedule.  The quality of the work was okay.  Attention to detail was a little bit lacking, but overall they got it done and I was definitely ready for them to just get out because I needed to move into my house.  The owner, Mr. Ben Robinson who owns the branch which I am using, was on top of things.  They did do extra things for me, but the quality was lacking.

Ben's crew were outstanding. They showed up when promised even making it here at 6:00 a.m. on one day when asked. They completed all the work in the time frame quoted and left the place spotless when they finished. They moved all the furniture and covered it as well, and moved it all back when finished. I would definitely use them again.

Painters worked very quickly and did a good job.  There were some paint drips but nothing that would keep me from using them again.  If you are SUPER picky you might want to let them know to be careful about drips.  Best thing for me was they worked fast and they were very professional.  Price was competitive.

Great customer service! Very easy to work with Ben Robinson, owner of CertaPro Painters of Irvine. He was on time for the early morning estimate appointment (8a.m. on a Friday morning), was very professional and friendly. My impression: this is a company where great customer service MATTERS; it isn't just a line on paper. I needed the areas painted A.S.A.P. and Ben was able to have Victor start the project later that morning. Victor arrived by 11:30 a.m. and completed all the areas by 5:30 p.m. He was very efficient in his work method.  I called Ben on Saturday morning about a few small areas in the bathroom that needed some additional touch-up.  Ben asked what time would be good for me that day. I said 11a.m. Victor arrived on time and quickly did the additional painting needed.

Overall, I am very pleased with the work done by CertaPro Painters of Irvine. Easy to work with, professional, courteous, efficient, describe my experience with this company.

Ben was very professional in estimate, scheduling, communication and follow-up. Matched colors with HOA requirements. Paint crew did a thorough prep job, power washing and patching cracks. Arrived on time every day. Head of crew, Victor, was very courteous and considerate. When I asked, he added a section of wall on my property that joined neighbor's house. Excellent exterior painting results. Highly recommended.

How did it go?  Frankly, it was better than we thought and a very pleasant experience.  Ben showed up for the estimate and instead of the hard sell that I received from the other estimates, Ben made me feel very much at ease by educating me in the painting process.  He explained his company's capabilities - including factors very important to me like the various insurance coverage types his company held, the scope of work, their qualifications, and the backing of the CertaPro label - and he also walked through the entire process that he would undertake if awarded the contract.  He measured my entire house - with electronic technology that allowed me to feel at ease that the pricing was factually based and not just what he thought I might be able to pay.  The education process was invaluable to me.  To understand how much further CertaPro would go for the job than the competition and what to watch for with other companies and their estimates was a great benefit for someone not familiar with the process.  Once I selected CertaPro, Ben walked me through the contract and thoroughly explained the schedule and process.  The ability to have the schedule work around me and not his crews was also a great bonus.  I even encountered some poor weather that delayed my initial start but it was Ben who called and explained how working under inclement weather would compromise the quality of the job (how was I supposed to know that bonding wasn't as effective with wet beams?).  Once the job started, it was a breeze.  The crews were very kind and professional and worked around the schedule of my wife and the needs of my 12 week old daughter and frequently difficult dog.  The work was done exactly as Ben had explained originally.  The crew cooperated with my neighbors and really did a good job with the most important part - the painting itself.  The prep work took just as much time, if not more, than the painting itself.  There was great attention to detail.  From the taping to removing nails and hooks, to the sanding and priming of my house (I went from a dark colored fascia to white so lots of priming involved).  Not to mention, I live in Irvine with an owners association that is very specific on the color palette available and Ben went out of his way to ensure the scheme I chose was acceptable within the association's guidelines - this alone could have saved me from big problems down the line with my association.  The job was thorough and the quality was evident.  My neighbor told me afterwards that after the job it made our stretch of the street one of the nicest in the development!  Basically, it was a great choice to go with CertaPro.  The pricing was fair - especially considering the scope of work compared to the competition.  The follow up and assistance I received from Ben was great.  He is a person you feel very comfortable with right away and his crew follows that same vein.  I was very satisfied with the whole experience and I would definitely recommend CertaPro and Ben to anyone else looking for an exterior paint job in Irvine.

Ben and his guys did a terrific job.  From the beginning, Ben was responsive to all of my questions and extremely considerate of my time when we were scheduling the estimate visit and the service itself.  Ahead of the service date, Ben kept on top of the weather reports and, thankfully, he was quick to reschedule the service date when he saw a storm forecast in Irvine.  He was similarly thorough in the paint selection, double- and triple-checking paint samples with me before he proceeded.  His guys did a quality job on the door, handrails and my table.  I will definitely go back to CertaPro for all future painting needs, big or small.

I felt that he gave us honest advice about what needed to be painted and what did not need to be painted and looked fine.  I trusted his opinion so much that I started asking his opinion about other work that needed to be done on our house, e.g. "what do you think about the carpet? etc." 

His people did an outstanding, detailed job. 

We pointed out a few areas that still needed to be touched up and it was done promptly.

Obviously, hiring some paid-by-the-hour, unlicensed painters will get the job done a lot cheaper and if you know someone like that you're confident will do a good job, you would not be reading this review on Angie's List.  

But if you want the peace of mind of going with a professional who charges a reasonable price,  will do what they say , will do whatever it takes to make it right, will make sure you are satisfied, and stick to the originally estimated price, go with Ben Robinson at CertaPro Painters.

It took one day longer than expected, but that day was spent on very thorough prep work which contributed to the high quality job. The customer service was excellent, as I got to try numerous samples of colors, and the owner contacted my frequently during the job to monitor the progress. The painters cleaned up the job site every evening. I am very happy with the results and although it was not my lowest estimate, it was well worth the slightly higher cost. It is a very high quality paint job.

They were a very good company. They were professional, timely and open to feedback. They were very eager to do a good job and to accommodate little corrections that had to be made here and there. I spent $2000 for the entire project, which included $1100 for two bedrooms. Their price was fairly competitive. I would use them again in the future for a comparable job. They did a good job, but I am not comfortable having them do a really huge job; I might call another company just for comparison purposes.

They were fantastic. Ben showed up on sunday morning of mother's day to give us the quote and did so in a timely fashion. He worked around our schedule, which was very tight as we had carpet being installed the next week and a few other contractors showing up to finish up their work. He suggested ideas also for projects in the future while respecting our limited budget that we couldn't do it this time around. We also had suggested possibly doing the kitchen cabinets, but he recommended that we wait as that task would have definitely pushed us past our budget. He scheduled his crew to show up on two days, which they did. They also honored the coupon from Angie's list. The crew that showed up, I met two of them, one was named Flauvio, and they were very nice and hardworking. When I came back after work on the first day, I couldn't believe how much they had got done. The windows & fixtures looked taped off neatly and they were very careful not to make any mess. My experience with CertaPro Painters was fantastic and they did the job beautifully while being on schedule and within my budget. I would definitely use them again!
