This re-roof went very well from the initial consult to the finish of the job. I had sent several requests to different companies on Angie's list and Jay was the first to get back to me bright and early on Monday morning following my Sunday evening requests. Jay was very professional and knowledgable as were the other companies, but what set Jay apart was the fact that he was very prompt in getting back to me in answering any questions we had. We conversed mostly through e-mail (my choice), which was great especially since he would get back to me sometimes within the hour. This was a major deciding factor in selecting this company. We felt if he was this diligent in getting back to us, there would be diligence in the job and we were right. While the bid for the roof was about $600 more than the other companies, we felt more confident in selecting Above It All due to Jay's quick responses and felt this would be worth it. It also struck us that Jay didn't try to up-sell us into a higher priced roof. He gave us a quote for the standard 30yr. type roof and gave us addresses to go see so we could decide on the color, but after looking through brochures and going out and looking at roofs we decided we liked the Presidential Shake roofs we were seeing and asked him to give us a quote, which we did of all the companies contacted. Again even though Jay's quote was higher we felt in the long run it would be money well spent to get the oversight from Jay. They had their own crew for tear off and replacing. Jay came out everyday to supervise and make sure things were done as requested. He promised the job would be done in 3 days and the actual work was 3 days as promised. There was a small glitch in that the city inspector showed up after tear off earlier than expected so all nails weren't pulled yet necessitating the need for his return to give the okay to finish. He couldn't get back until Monday so work came to a halt over the weekend which was okay with us as we weren't looking forward to a weekend of workers on the roof anyway. The final inspection took place yesterday and I was able to speak with the inspector and was happy to hear him say this was an excellent job in fact he said it was one of the best he has seen. I definitely recommend this company. We are very happy with our new roof.

I worked with Jay at Above It All Roofing and was very pleased with the whole process. He was thorough in his inspection and thoughtful in his recommendations. I already knew the roof had to be totally stripped as it had been roofed once already over existing wood shingle. I was more impressed with his professionalism than any other roofer I talked with (and they were all from Angie's List too). The entire process took 3 days, start to finish. The crew was efficient and polite. I never saw the tear off crew as I was at work, but the roofing crew was still there working when I arrived home the first day. The man in charge took the time to tell me what had been done and what would be done the next day before they left for the day. They did a good clean up each day. The final inspection by the city was done today and the inspector commented on how good of a job was done. I would definitely recommend this company.

Completely satisfied with Above It All Roofing and the work they did replacing my worn composition shingle roof. I got other estimates (including Home Depot) and they were all close to Above It All in price. But Above It All was far more professional when presenting their bid. Dave Brunn and the owner Mike came out and inspected and measured and showed the same shingle choice as Home Depot. Lifetime GAF composition but Above It All has their 10 yr. labor warrantee. Dave explained the whole job process and how they will handle everything - the permits, haul away old roof, clean up and final walk through. Then they said that no down payment was required. You pay upon completion. We scheduled the job. The first day, the tear off crew was 45 min. late but Dave was here at 7AM and on the phone to verify they were on the way. The old roof came off in 4 hours and the roofing crew showed up at noon ready to go. They said there was no additional dry rot other than the facia on one end of the house that Dave noted during inspection. Dave had told me the dry rot work would be extra, but the replacement prices are right on the contract listed by the foot so you know how much to expect if you see a bad section. Dave posted the inspection card first thing and said the first inspection was after tear off. The inspector was on time and the roofing supplier showed up at 1 pm and loaded the shingles on top of the roof. Alejandro was the roofing supervisor and got everyone started immediately. First thing was hooking up the harnesses. Dave had a safety meeting with the crew before starting work because my roof was 7/12 pitch which is a little steep. (Home Depot had said my roof was 4/12 pitch, which would have caused a lot of trouble with the crews when they would get there and see 7/12) Dave told me that pitch definitely affects price. Not only that, I knew the roof was 7/12 and that made me wonder why Home Depot's roofing contractor doesn't know the difference. Above It All finished 20 squares in 3 days. They arrive early in the am and work till 4-5 pm. Dave came by twice a day to check on the job and take care of any problems. Always talked to me and made sure I was happy with the progress. Each morning, Alejandro would ask if everything was good, and when I saw something I didn't like, he worked on it immediately with concern and a smile. Not disgruntled or displeased that I would mention something about the work, he just fixed it. He also said that if I had some paint for the new facia, he would paint it at no cost before they put it up. Their replacement wood is all primed but it was nice to get it painted since it was up high on the house. This saved me a lot of time and money not having to get a painter to come back to paint because my house is 2 story. I sure didn't want to get up there! The final day, Dave and Mike came by to make sure everything was complete and that I was satisfied. I was and that's why I am recommending Above It All Roofing if you want piece of mind on a big job. They took care of everything - permits, inspections, materials delivery, haul away, clean up and paint touch up. I am so relieved and happy the job was done with excellent workmanship. My neighbors have commented on how clean the new roof looks with all the new flashing and edge moulding and roof vents painted to match. This was all included in the price. Quality Workmanship!

I called Above it All expecting to be told I needed a whole new roof as previous roofers had stated. After their inspection, I was told there was a specific issue with the area around my 20 year old skylight. I decided to go for the repair, based on the evidence I was shown and given the fact that I would have a warranty. I also asked for two solar attic vents to replace my old electric ones and a solar tube for my hallway. Their crew came when scheduled, performed the work, and cleaned up afterward. The roof looks great (if they needed new tiles they would use tiles from the back of my house and replace those with the new ones that weren't faded so front roof would look uniform). All went smoothly and I am 100% satisfied. Now we wait for a couple rainstorms to test it out. I also asked about a solar tube for my living room but was very hesitant. Rather than pushing me to get one, the suggestion was made that I wait until the hall tube was installed to give me a better idea of what to expect. Afterwards there was no sales pitch but rather a validation of my decision to not proceed with it. Solar Tube plus installation was 600.00. Repairs, tune-up and vents were 3895.00

Work was completed on time and as agreed. The men worked hard and cleaned up after each days work. Jay was a pleasure to work with. The roof looks good and the neighbors have complimented us on our new roof. Excellent job by Above It All Roofing.

Scott from Above It All was a man of his word. He said he would be there and he was.... answered all my questions about roofing materials. I asked a lot of them as I was looking for the best roof to reflect as much sunlight as possible. He also recommended a type of silicon surface on the flat area of our roof which really does a great job of reflecting the heat. Our house is noticeably cooler with our new roof. They cleaned up every day after work, and took care of all the permits. Scott was honest in his appraisal of the materials used, and quick to respond to my emails.

The job was finished early, cleanly and completely. The crew and their managers were courteous and responsive.

The estimate given was very very high. I determined this after getting five bids from Angie's list. All bids had the same criteria. I do not know anything else about the company that I could comment on. I suggest customers get several bids.

Dave was the foreman on my job, But Mike, the owner, was out at least once a day to check on the progress. The crew was timely and neat. After the job was finished, the was one tile that to my eye was off kilter. The came back and replaced it without a complaint. The job was finished a week ago, I have already had three people stop to ask who did the job, and my neighbor across the street called to thank me for improving her view.

Jay arrived on time Saturday to review the job and gave me a reasonable estimate. We scheduled the repair for Wed but had to reschedule for Thursday. This morning Jay and his crew arrived on time with their tools and replacement tiles. By lunchtime the work was finished and the yard was cleaned up. Even though there were 120 tiles needing work. Bring on the rain.

There was no hesitation or whatsoever. I got hold of the project manager, his name is Jay and he immediately sent the guy over like the following week. I was really impressed, he really stood by his word. I like their customer service, professionalism and their promptness.

I worked with Dave and he was great. He came out to give me an estimate and brought samples of types of shingles that could be installed. He walked the existing roof getting measurements and noting the condition of the existing roof. He pointed out areas where the roof had deteriorated and showed me how the shingles were failing and coming loose.After getting estimates from 3 other roofing companies, I chose Above It All. The roof tear off began at 7:00 on a Monday morning and the team was finished in the early afternoon and they did a fine job with the cleanup, because tearing off a wood shingle roof is VERY messy. Plants and air conditioner condenser were all covered to protect them from falling shingles. The roofing crew arrived just as the tear off crew left and the new roof began that afternoon. Julio and his crew replaced any bad wood that was discovered and the new roof was completed on Wednesday afternoon. 3 days total. All the workers were very professional and respectful of the property. I don't think things could have gone smoother. Overall a nice experience with Above It All. I highly recommend them. If you need roofing, I would definitely include them when you are getting estimates.

Jay came out and did an inspection and gave me an estimate to replace my dry rot. He was extremely conscientious of my budget and concern for wanting the repair work to not be a temporary fix but a long term investment. His quote was far more competitive than the others I had received. He even had his team find a paint to match for no additional charge. His crew came out shortly after accepting the bid. They were on time, worked fast, and cleaned up after the work was done. Jay called me to follow up and make sure I was happy with the work. If you want honest, hardworking, and a team to do excellent work, I highly recommend Above It All Roofing.

This company really understands and provides good customer service. Every step of the way, Jay either picked up the call, or called me right back -- even after the work was well completed and I was calling about something that turned out to be unrelated. On the first contact, he performed a thorough inspection and gave me a quote on the spot. It was complete, understandable, and thorough yet concise. He did a great job of outlining and explaining what they were going to do. I was also impressed that he called just to let me know he received the faxed contract -- so many people don't take the time to do that and just leave you wondering. In addition, I don't know of any other company that does not ask for payment until the work is complete. During the course of the work, there was an additional unanticipated permit required for the mobile home park. Jay was responsive and proactive, taking all necessary steps to ensure the work was done on schedule. There were additional fees, which they did not pass on to me. Did I want to spend that kind of money for a new roof? No!! However, their price was certainly competitive and I have every confidence that they did a good job. Oh, and they also offed a ten year labor guarantee,whereas I think the other companies offered only five (they all offer materials warranties which seemed similar). The owner even came by afterwards to be sure I was satisfied. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

Kudos to Dave for his professionalism and candor. We have moved into a new construction house where our home inspector advised us that the tiles have wide gaps and to contact a professional roofer to inspect further. I contacted Dave from Above It All Roofing to set up a inspection. However, Dave informed me that the new construction has a 10 roof warranty and the builder's roofing company should be contacted since they may void the warranty if any other roofer goes up there without them being present. I will recommend Above All It All Roofing to my friends and will call them once my warranty with the builder is over if I need any help tending to my roof.

We had had several leaks in our 15 year old house. We spent a lot of money on patch jobs only to have a new leak pop up somewhere else. They gave us a price that was 1/2 of some of their competitors. It looks awesome and is now likely to last 20 years more. They did a good job, I would recommend them for any roof work.

I have a concrete tile roof. Some of the tiles were cracked or missing. In one area of the roof the underlayment was damaged. They replaced the damaged underlayment and several broken or missing tiles, and gave the roof an overall tune-up. We were pleased with the results. Scott was responsive throughout the process, and the repairs made allowed me to hold off on a complete tile reset for at least a couple of years.

They responded to my call right away they came over to bid the job and they were early, if that was okay with my schedule. They were polite, I had a few other contractors there. The bid was clear and specific. They were helpful at every step of the way. I think this is what excellent looks like in construction. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. I am confident they did a great job. It looks great and I am very happy with the job they did. Great job Scott!

They did an excellent job. Everything was done according to what they promised. My first impression was not the greatest because they did a couple of things we did not really care for, but they came back and corrected everything. They made everything more than satisfactory and I highly recommend them.

The entire crew showed up on time Scott made sure every one got to work on time they were careful with everything got to work and cleaned up made contact with my wife, explained in detail everything showed her the dry rot that was discovered and getting permission to proceed with repairs, When the work was done he sat down and explained the cost in detail and ask if we had any questions and made sure we had all of his information to contact him if we had any problems. I would recommend this company to anyone that wanted to get roof work done. The crew cleaned up and you could not tell they were here. Scott doesn't give you a dog and pony show he is detailed in his work and up front no hidden costs he will stay on budget with his quote unless he discovers hidden problems and he will let you know before he continues and show you the problem. Its nice to fined a person with old fashioned work values of taking care of the customer and their needs.

Scott came out and did the original estimate and due to having older wood shingles we had to completely remove the existing roof, apply plywood sheets and reroof with composition shingles. Scott was very professional, friendly and applied no sales pressure at all. His quote was very reasonable, actually less than I anticipated. We set a date and his crew was on time everyday and ensured the entire yard was spotless before they left. They paid extra attention to the driveway to spot any nails, etc.. that might cause damage, which I greatly appreciated. Before the job was finished, Scott contacted me and said he noticed there was not enough vents in the roof, so he was adding three more (at no additional cost!). They completed the job ahead of time, even painting all of the existing vents to match the roof color. I have to say I was extremely impressed with the attention to detail and the extra effort Scott and the crew took to ensure everything was top notch. I would highly recommend Above it all Roofing to anyone. The quality can't be beat and their prices are very reasonable.

Very punctual and professional. Bid was similar to 5 other roofers contracted. 7 hour job was complete in less than 2 hours with 5 person team.

Dave was very quick in responding to my request for an inspection. He thoroughly inspected the old roof, then explained the need to replace it and why. He showed us several options, and gave us a quote right away once we had made our choice. He had samples delivered so that we could see the product ahead of time. Dave visited frequently during the five days of the project to check on the crew and keep us posted. The workers did a good job, and we are quite satisfied with the work.
