TRIANGLE HARDWARE

I went in to Triangle Ace Hardware seeking assistance on a broken toilet seat that I previously purchased. I had the paperwork that gave the product a lifetime warranty. When I asked what they could do in the matter they said I would have to take it up with the manufacturer. Then I asked them if they had a phone number for them (paperwork did not list a phone #) they said no they didn't. This store, though convenient to my house, has shown me on more than one occasion they take their clientele for granted; exhibiting an attitude of: "it's your privilege, the customer, to shop with us." Certainly not the "helpful hardware men" as claimed in Ace Hardware ads. In fact, my husband stopped shopping there a long time ago, for this same reason. Well, Triangle is not the only game around. I visited another Ace Hardware a few miles farther from home (Woods Ace Hardware at PV Drive and Sepulveda). Not only did they take the time to look up a phone # for the manufacturer but one of the owners who assisted me volunteered to take care of the warranty for me and went a giant leap forward and gave me full credit for the amount I had paid for the seat when I purchased a few years before. I used that credit to purchase a much more expensive toilet seat from them, the indeed, helpful hardware men! In all fairness: when I related my experience(s) with the staff at Triangle Hardware to a friend of mine who lives in the neighborhood, she said she has never had a problem with them. Good for her! So, many kudos to Woods Ace Hardware. They have my family's business for life.
