  Good Job !

It all started with a coupon for a AC check up back in August 2011. Tony was our first contact who was and continues to be knowledgeable, efficient and customer centric, the big 3 in our book. Whatever we've had to have repaired has always been done promptly and not excessively expensive ( two separate function motors have had to be replaced, our unit is over 15 yrs old so not surprising). The company is clearly  proud of it's reputation and carefully selects its service representatives to reflect that pride. I'm pleased to be able to continue to give my business and positive reviews to ABC Cooling and Heating and expect to do so for a long time. I'm especially pleased that the unit has passed inspection and is ready for the searing heat of Fresno.

Everybody has been really professional. They had been prompt. Their follow-ups had been excellent. They had been excellent.

We came home from a vacation late at night to find that our A/C unit had gone out while we were gone. This, in the hottest part of the summer and it was stifling!  I got out the phone book and called a few places but no one could come out. I didn't think about Angie's List until the next morning. Call ABC Cooling because of the great reviews. They came out within the hour!! Identified the problem, had a replacement part in the truck and quickly resolved problem.
From the person who answered the phone to the service tech who responded, ABC is a professional company, which very nice people. I'm very happy with their service.

Very Simple! Got the Groupon, scheduled it and he showed up when they said he would.

The company is great based on punctuality, work, professionalism, but not price.

This was a challenging job to complete due to the fact that our 56 year old home has several room additions that were not adequately heated and cooled. We have never been able to fully cool our sunroom addition, and have been limiting air/heat use due to large PG&E bills. While we did get two bids that were lower, the other companies did not offer the extensive duct work replacement and similar type of electric mini-split units for our additions. We gave the price an "A" in spite of the high cost, because it's hard to put a dollar amount on a guarantee for the type of challenging job this was. (ABC guaranteed to install more ducts and/or adjust the individual air flow to each room as needed.)
Our home is COMFORTABLE for the first time since we bought it 18 years ago. The units are very quiet and cool well. Since the weather has been mild, we have yet to fully use all of the units in the house, but everything has tested out well.
ABC's crew spent over a week of full days to complete the job, and they were always on time, trustworthy, and hard at work. They made every effort to keep their work areas clean and communicated with us regularly.  We appreciated Manuel's conscientious effort to design and install a system that best fit our home. Each stage of the work was inspected thoroughly, and improved as needed. We especially appreciated that ABC included several items and work that was  not originally included in the estimate--  such as special mounting-wood work, a whole-house fan cover, and some general repairs. They also installed smoke and carbon monoxide detectors throughout our home and re-sealed the old returns. 
While we do feel ABC has an excellent warranty and maintenance program, we experienced some confusion initially regarding maintenance needed to retain our warranty.  ABC settled the conflict to our satisfaction, and we are confident that our investment is protected.  Special thanks to Mark for working with us so closely each step of the way.

They had a number of employees, and I thought they communicated well with my husband and myself, so their communication skills were good.  They were respectful.  They did jobs, but they were not intrusive.  The house was kept cleaner than I thought it could be.  The work was of good quality, except for one subcontractor, and they didn’t do anything really to correct it on site.  It was not a big deal, but they were concerned that I felt that the subcontractor was not adequate, so they showed their concern in the matter.

They are very fair and do good work. In installed the equipment and I was satisfied with it. I have been satisfied with them since then.

Dave, and ALL of the crew, were FANTASTIC! We have dealt with a lot of different 'service' type of people lately and if half of them were as punctual, honest and up front as this group we would be completely stress free in taking care of our home. The audit was done, Dave came and presented the findings of that audit and went over every single aspect of it. There were three proposals submitted to us, and Dave explained each of these proposal in full detail along with the approx benefits of each. He even advised us as to what products we may not benefit from at this time. There was never any guess work. We did, however, continue to do our research to make sure everything he told us was correct. After the job was completed two other companies were required to do a walk through audit to make sure the work was done correctly. Because of the two additional audits, including one from our local energy company, we received a higher rebate than ABC initially projected. I would work with this company again in a heartbeat, and will call them first when we need anything done with our HVAC unit or other items in the home that they work with.

They spent some time with me. They gave me lots of options on units and were able to give me the pros and cons on each type.  They even helped me do the PG (Pacific Gas and Electric) rebates. I did some comparison with prices with three different companies.  They seemed to have the most competitive price.

The experience was great, they were awesome! I don't have any complaints. The employees that came out were professional, they look clean and they do good work.  

Our AC froze up on an early October Friday evening. Fortunately it was not a typical very hot period. I sent out four e-mails to local HVAC contractors that Saturday morning. The following Monday at 8:00 am I received a call from ABC Cooling & Heating and we set up an appointment for that Tuesday afternoon. As it turned out they were the only company to respond to my e-mails. Their rep. Dave Guerra arrived at our home right on time with all the information needed to select replacement units. The furnace needed to be replaced to accomodate the larger coil for the new 2 stage AC I wanted for the efficiency (I confirmed this was necessary with an acquaitance in the commercial HVAC field). Dave also made sure that the new HVAC combo qualified for the Federal and State energy rebates. The installation crew was here the following week and the total project completed in four days despite having to work around a previously scheduled pool contractor resurfacing our pool and a solar panel installation (by another company) going on at the same time. There were several glitches that are not unusual with a project this size, but they were corrected immediately including a service call the evening that project was completed. A follow up visit to balance the air flow to all the rooms was performed. I was not happy with the new thermostat and it was repalced with a more advanced one at no extra cost.

This was our rental property, therefore we needed fast action because we were having freezing weather. ABC took care of it in a very reasonable amount of time.

I get Groupon emails regularly, when I saw the special price for an A/C tune up I jumped at it. I checked ABC out and they appeared to have a good reputation. The thought of even one day without A/C in a Fresno Summer was terrifying. They did have to reschedule once, but called me as soon as they realized the technician wouldn't make it at the appointed time. I wasn't upset since it had been over 100 degrees for several days and I figured they must have been hammered with emergency calls, they kept us informed right up to the time he rolled up to the curb. The Technician  was very polite and professional. As novices to A/C issues he could have hit us with all sorts of things, but told us our unit was very good and only needed a small part which was about $100. if we did it right then. The Technician admitted there was no way to tell if it would burn out in a day or next summer but it read that it was weak and if we waited the service call and part could end up two or three times that amount. We did it right then since he was already there and did I mention Fresno in Summer the sun sits right on your front lawn! He even checked out our ducts at no additional charge because we mentioned two rooms that didn't cool well. We will be using them again for the Autumn tune up for the heater. I recommend them absolutely!

The overall experience from the assessment to the final testing went very well and smoothly. All of the employees were very professional. The work was begun and finished when they said it would be.

I signed up for the guardian maintenance plan with ABC to have my A/C and heater inspected.  Ernesto, the technician that came over a couple days after I set up the appointment, was well dressed and clean cut.  He was very helpful and answered all my questions I had about my AC unit.  I recently bought the house and wanted to make sure everything was in tip top shape.  Ernesto was knowledgeable and very easy to work with.  He offered me advice on how to efficienctly cool my home and save money on the electrical bill.  He even used shoe covers when he came into my home!  I'm looking forward to when he comes back in the fall to inspect my heater. 

I bought a "Social Living" deal for 50% off to have my AC system checked as I had several rooms that did not cool very well.  I called for an appointment and two days later a serviceman was at my home.  After checking everything which turned out OK. the service man suggusted I call their Office Manager to discuss my cooling problem.  I called and talked to "Dave" who gave me two suggestions for correcting my issue; one was for a permanent closure of a vent that was cooling two rooms not presently used; and the other was to place a damper on the vent that could be opened should we decide to use the rooms.  We choose the damper; and two days later it was taken care of.

Everyone we talked to was friendly, very helpful, and courteous.  I was very pleased with the whole process..

Dave Guerra did a fantastic job examining our existing units and describing the options for repair / replacement. He left us with a completed quote and few unanswered questions. Deciding which of the 3 bids to accept was easy because Dave engendered such confidence in his company. (I hope they pay him well... he is why we went with the company.) Before the job started Dave brought by Manuel, lead installer on our project and another top notch professional. As the work began there were more and more quality workmen involved. They completed 2 days ahead of schedule. So far so good. The house is cool. The new units are BIG, but they are well positioned in the back of the house and VERY much quieter. We are happy to have the Lifetime warrantee. If doing business with this company continues as it's begun that will make for a long and happy business relationship.
