The people on the phone were friendly and informative. They were supposed to have sent me my bill of lading in the mail but I didn't get it until after the move. But the price I was charged was what I had been quoted, which was a relief! The movers were a half-hour early, but waited to start until I was ready. The two movers were very polite and efficient. They were careful about asking me what to take and what not to take, which was important because I was leaving a great deal of stuff behind. They were careful with my furniture and my plants. They were very fast! I was about fifteen minutes behind them when I arrived at my new home and they were already more than halfway through unloading. I thought they did a very good job. The price was $335 which includes $84 travel charge. I tipped the guys $30 each. (The company had recommended $20 each tip, but only if I wanted to). I recommend this moving company.

Went good. No problems. They broke only two items, a stool and lamp. Workers worked hard. They took a lot of breaks, I think they took 5 or so. I didn't say anything due to how hard they were working. Overall, I was very happy with them.

Two representatives worked quickly, efficiently, and politely. The office staff were very helpful and accommodating, and communications were well coordinated. They responded on short notice. The equipment was clean and well-maintained. I was very pleased with the service and would certainly recommend this company to family and friends.

This was a professional outfit with plenty of staff to take care of scheduling, estimates and the moving itself. I spoke directly with the owner, then the estimator came to our apt. on schedule, then another person handled the booking and yet another set of people did the moving. The company charged me nothing until the move was complete. They called to confirm the move, showed up on time, brought the right boxes and equipment and completed the move in less time than they had estimated. They were as good as it gets for local movers.

On time, very polite, very helpful, very patient. Completed job in less time than originally estimated.

The gentlemen at Gentle Giant Movers were a dream. They were professional, well-mannered, dedicated and conscientious. Moving is stressfull, no matter how close or far the distance. My mother's move from one apartment to another was just as stressful as a cross-country move. Yet the three dedicated workers from Gentle Giant left me feeling reassured and confident that EVERYTHING would be well-handled, and it was. The gentlemen exuded absolute warmth and dedication while working non-stop for over five hours on an extremely hot Saturday morning/afternoon. Not one glass figurine (she has dozens), not one piece of glass stemware, not one fragile item was broken, cracked, damaged or misplaced. Amazing! Don't waste your time and/or money looking all over town, hire Gentle Giant Movers and rest assured!

They were absolutely great. Friendly, fast and professional. I would definitely recommend them to others. My rate was $84/hour for two people.

THEY WERE OKAY. THEY WERE EXPENSIVE. THEY WERE SLOW. IT TOOK THEM OVER TWO DAYS TO DO IT. THEY WERE CAREFUL.

I called this company and Starving Students for a quote. For about the same price, I could get a third guy with Gentle Giant. They showed up on time and wrapped every piece of furniture with blankets and tape before they took it down the stairs and loaded it onto the truck. It took them about 3 1/2 hours to load and unload. The only thing I didn't particularly like was that they charged $120 right off the bat for travel time from their place to my apartment. That's just crazy, but like I said, it was about the same hourly rate as having only 2 people from Starving Students, which probably would have taken longer.

Ask for the team with Carlos. Moving is difficult, but Carlos makes it easier. The job went over the estimated time, and the company kept to the price.

The crew showed up right on time. Packed all of our furniture with care. Shrink wrapped our mattresses and furniture at no extra cost. They supplied 10 wardrobe boxes for the duration of the move at no extra cost. They laid down plastic carpet protectors on all of the traffic areas in the new house. We were moving out of a building with an elevator, so we had an extra guy added for the pack up and then cut down to 3 for the unload. This worked really well and we were able to complete everything within the 4 hour minimum. These guys never slowed down, but were extremely careful in moving our stuff. The office staff was great and made suggestions to help us save money. There were no surprises at all on the bill. These guys were not the cheapest estimate we got, but they had no extra charges so we went with them. Very happy with the work.

The workers were very nice, experienced, and careful. They worked very hard and helped me pack things up. They were very good at wrapping and packing to keep things safe and in one piece. We had only one broken lamp, out of a huge moving truck load. They even moved some very large plants safely. It was very easy to book the move. They were on time and communicative.

The office was very nice and responsive when I called for an estimate and answered all my questions. On moving day, the crew was great. They were an hour late but called with a warning that the traffic was bad. Once they got there, things moved extremely quickly and they worked well as a team. I had three guys. Within three hours we were loaded and out. At the delivery end, it was even faster. They were great about putting some pieces down in storage and other pieces upstairs and no grumbling about the broken elevator! They were careful that I was satisfied about where all the furniture was placed and would have happily moved it around for me if I was undecided. They were also neat, putting down lots of floor covering before they brought everything it and removing all boxes and mess when the work was done. I would definitely hire this company again and recommend it to others.

IT WAS DECENT. THEY GOT THE JOB DONE. IT WAS NOTHING GREAT AND NOTHING REALLY BAD. THAT'S WHY I PUT THEM AT A C. THEY DID THE JOB. THERE WAS NOTHING REALLY OUTSTANDING THAT I REMEMBER. I HAD TO MOVE. I CALLED THEM UP AND THEY SHOWED UP. IT'S HARD TO PUT A QUANTITATIVE VALUE ON THE WORK. IT WAS DECENT. IT WASN'T GREAT AND IT WASN'T BAD.

THEY WERE PATIENT. THEY WERE VERY NICE. THEY WERE VERY ACCOMMODATING. THEY WORKED VERY LONG HOURS, AND THEY DID NOT COMPLAIN AT ALL. I WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.

I WAS TOTALLY SATISFIED. I DID NOT COMPARE THEIR PRICES WITH OTHER PEOPLE, AND WE HAD USED THEM BEFORE. THEIR PRICES ARE COMPARABLE. I HAVE NEVER HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THEM. IT WAS A REALLY SMOOTH MOVE, AND THAT WAS REFRESHING.

SO FAR IT'S VERY GOOD. WE WILL SEE WHEN THEY BRING THE STUFF BACK AND WHAT CONDITION IT WILL BE IN. I HAVE SPOKEN TO THE PEOPLE OVER THE PHONE, AND THE OFFICE PEOPLE SEEM VERY NICE.
