Everything went extremely well, considering that we discovered extensive dry rot under the existing floors. So, Tony had to demolish and replace the subfloors in both rooms. The additional cost was based on a reasonable hourly rate and the cost of the materials (no markup). I was also able to get his contractors' price when buying the tile. In addition, the quality of the work was excellent. We choose an imported porcelain tile with sharp edges and narrow spaces, and Tony used epoxy grout, which is much finer and stronger (and stain resistant) than the common granular grouts. (This technique is more common in commercial situations, and not recommended unless the installer knows what they're doing.) The work was also completed on schedule, and without any delays. Tony was very customer oriented and made sure that we were satisfied with every aspect of the project.

Tony is a great guy to work with. He's someone who genuinely cares about his craft and in providing a great service. He took care to make sure any disruption to the house was kept to a minimum and kept in constant communication about the progress of the job, even while I was away for a week while the work was being done. He had some good ideas about how to enhance the design of the shower and the overall quality of the finish was much better than I could have expected. Last but not least, Tony himself is a big-hearted, generous and courteous guy who was always a pleasure to work with. I'll be glad to work with him again for any future work.

It was a difficult job which included grading,panning,grading again,tiling ,and grouting an odd shaped 200 sq.ft. deck.The old deck allowed for water to flow through it ,causing long term damage to the garage walls and to of the footing to the house.Tony saw the problem and knew right away what had to be done.Because the deck was surrounded with walls, he carefully graded and panned towards a drain, away from all 4 walls.The outcome was the solution to a water problem that had existed for 50 years.The tile and grout job was done with perfection and we are very happy with who we picked to handle this job.  Thanks Tony !    Scott from Belmont

Tony is a lovely guy and his crew was courteous and hard-working. Celebrity Tile's price was very competitive. The work was done in the exact time frame requested and promised. We hit an unexpected snag when the concrete under the existing marble was found to be in disrepair. Tony was still able to get the entire job done on time by working on Saturdays. He came back after the job was complete to do a final clean up. All in all, a terrific experience and a beautiful product.

Tony is a great guy. He took the floor down 4 layers and nailed the sub floor back down and glued and screwed the backer board. This is the proper and best way to do things but very few contractors would take the time to do things this way. Great work, done in the promised time. Tony is of the breed of craftsman that are slowly fading away. I would hire him again.

Tony is great!  I purchased a new place and had to replace the kitchen flooring and install flooring to my HOA's specs.  There was a laminate floor over a tile floor and both needed to be removed prior to installing the new floor.  Tony was so helpful in suggesting tile options, and recommended things I hadn't though of such as new moldings, etc.  When he pulled the old tile out, the subfloor crumbled.  Tony and crew ended up having to remove that, install a new subfloor and then ultimately install the new tile.  I was under a tight timeline as I was moving cross country and even with the additional work, he completed the job on time.  He did a great job investigating the HOA specs installing to code.  Tony even fixed some other floor problems I had where carpet was going to be laid.  The quality is spectacular.  I will recommend Celebrity Tile and plan to use them in the future as I make additional improvements!

"'''''''''Customer called to have a tile repair in the guest bath and master bath. Re-caulking shower areas, underneath vanities also reset vanity marble backsplash. Re-grout existing tile. Patch area. Cut down over-sized tile to match existing tile. During this estimate, my rate of $120 per hour was agreed upon, plus materials. Yes, I had trouble breaking out existing tile due to improper tile installation over an existing cracking concrete slab. The thin set underneath tie was 1" in thickness. The tile was synthetic travertine, very hard to remove without a chipping hammer. Since the master bath caulking and the guest bath grout were two different colors my customer knew that at some point I would have to leave and to purchase these and other materials to complete the job. Yes,on my way to the materials store I did stop to pick up my chipping hammer. Also, when I was finished I charged for 7 hours labor and $150 for materials, nothing out of line .So what was this complaint really about?"

The work went extremely well. I am really happy with the result. What was a run-down concrete strip is now a beautiful walkway. Something that is now very nice to come home to. Tony's professional tiling skills has dramatically improved the look and value of the house. HIs many years of experience certainly show in his work. I had originally considered resurfacing the concrete but decided after talking with Tony to consider the option of tiling.  I am very glad that I opted to have Tony tile the surface.
I would highly recommend Tony to anyone who is looking for professional and artistic tiling work. Tony is hard working and takes pride in his work. I found him to be a fair and generous man as well.  Thanks, Tony!

Tony and I had a long series of back and forth conversations, assessing the nature of the leak. In the end, he recommended a cheaper option to re-grout and to seal the shower with epoxy, rather than remove and replace the tile. He arrived on time with his assistant and completed the job in half a day. He was diligent about following up the next day to make sure the fix worked. I appreciated his thoroughness, and will hire him again in the future.

Tony arrived on time, with his helper Tio, and the first thing he did was to show us his licence.He explained to us what the job entailed and gave us a fair estimate.  He  is very respectful and a hard worker.  He would explain each phase of the job to us so that we would know what was being done.  
Our bathroom shower is around 70 years old, very different from the showers of today, and many contractors would not take such a small job (as they would say) . We were so happy to see that Tony was proficient in working on these old  showers, he even found the tiles that matched perfectly to our shower. Tony as well as his helper where very conscientious of every day cleaning up before leaving, vacuuming and leaving the work area clean for our use.
The job turned out great and we were very please with his work, we will call him again if we need more work done in the future.  His price was very fair, and all we can add is, don't waste time looking around for ever, just call Tony Spavone at Celebrity Tiles you won't regret it!

Tony was great. Very responsive and professional. He was also very cost competative. When we realized that our replacement tiles were slightly larger than the existing tiles, he was able to quickly cut them down using a tile cutter. I will definetely use him again for any tile work that we have.

Tony was great! I was not able to be present during most of the work, but Tony updated me daily by phone so that I always knew where he was with the job and what would be happening next. He took care of all problems that came up due to removal of 90 year old tile and lath and plaster walls.
My tenants felt he was very respectful of them and the house. He took the time to put up plastic in all doorways and put down paper on the hardwood floor to prevent dust and debris from entering the rest of the house.
Tony is a stand-up guy. I would definately hire him again!

I contacted Tony and described what I needed done. He  said he could do the job on the following day (very prompt!) and explained that his hourly rate was $110 per hour which I agreed to. When he arrived the next morning he came and looked at the sink and said he could do the job. He then told me that the job would take roughly an hour to an hour and a half, but that he would have to charge me for four hours to make it worth his time. I was disappointed that he did not tell me about the four hour minimum over the phone, as I would have tried to reach out to other stone fabricators to compare prices. It also meant that it would cost me $440 to cut the granite, which was nearly the same price that we had paid for the sink itself.
He did a thorough job, making sure that the sink would fit appropriately, and was correct about the time estimate. It took him roughly one hour of cutting and another twenty minutes of cleaning up. When the plumber returned, he was also happy with the work (I didn't tell him the price!) and successfully installed the sink.
