Igor arrived within the specified time frame and was courteous and professional. I would hire him again to fix our appliances.

The visit and work appeared professional and the refrigerator started working. The cost was $240. Now it is 18 months later and once again I come home to a puddle of water under the refrigerator and all my food defrosted. My wife called another company she had used in the past and they came today. What was found was that Universal Appliance Service had installed a 3-N-1 relay which, according to the repair guy today, you should only use a 3-N-1 on a failing compressor in a " life support" situation. This is confirmed with a bit of checking online. He said it is fine to use temporally to test if the compressor is still good, but it is not a true repair. He hinted that it might be dangerous and it could harm the compressor. When my wife called Universal Appliance Service they were not helpful. They said they could not be blaimed because we had called another company for the repair this time. We took a photo of the installed part and offered to send them the photo. They were not interested. Why would we use the company who's repair had not held up? Do they think we cooked up a conspiracy and installed the part just for a photo? There may be information about this we are not aware of. Perhaps it is OK to use a 3-N-1 but I do not see that as the best practice when checking online. Why not just install the correct part? The new repair cost us less than the work-around 3-N-1 repair. If Universal Appliance Service has a reasonable response, I am open to reading it. Their response on the phone had nothing to do with the actual "repair." Until then I have to conclude that I was ripped off and possibly put in danger of a fire.

Igor was punctual, professional, and knowledgable about his work. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue and provide the explanation of why it happened, as well as explain the reason for the price, the timeline, and the time. He was reasonable, fast in his work, and went above and beyond the ignition swtiches when he came back to do the job. He even got the flames on the stove working better as well as the ignition handles. He clearly takes pride in his work and knows his stuff. I will be happy to use his services again when the need arises!

Besides having to wait for the part to come and to schedule (due to my lack of availability, the service was great. Would definitely use again and would recommend.

Igor arrived as scheduled, he replaced the part, and he cleaned and vacuumed the lint accumulated within the housing surrounding the drum. He urged us to have the dryer vent cleaned out because the vent was very clogged. We are pleased that the dryer is now working again, thanks to Igor's fine workmanship.

They told us what was wrong, and how to rectify the problem. Also they said that we could use the 45 dollars toward the repair. They were really nice people to work with.

Called in the morning and they had an opening from 2-3pm. Igor arrived promptly 15 minutes early. Initially gave us options to weigh purchasing a new oven and repairing current one. Estimated repair could be maximum $400. After removing oven from cabinet and inspecting, was able to determine it was the wires. Replaced and tested successfully. Ended up being $185 total. Was in and out in about 45 minutes. Very satisfied. Igor had a great sense of humor which is always a plus in my book. Would definitely hire again in the future.

I called Igor with a leaking, pooling water problem under my fridge. He replaced all the water hosing, and ordered a part for the ice maker which was not working properly. He came back to finish the job. Now the ice maker works better than i remember in ages! Fridge is not new by any means, but works fine. was worth the price of repair to keep it running for many more years. I found him in Angie's magazine, and gave him my copy since he was featured.

No time for details. Solid work, decent price. Angie, don't bother me with these annoying feedback requests. Won't do one for six months minimum. I challenge you to post this in it's entirety.

Igor brought a colleague, Michael, to assist him because this was a big job and he wanted to properly diagnose it. The work took multiple visits because when they were diagnosing the problems, they noted multiple potential causes including a failed compressor, which they were sure of, a possible leak of the refrigerant and a problem with them motor/blower. They knew the compressor was not working but when they tested if for a leak, they could not find one, so they first replaced that and recharged the freon which got the refrigerator and freezer working again. However, Igor told us to monitor the temperature and if there was a leak, the temperature may start to rise. they charged us $2,800.00 rather than the original estimate of about $4,000.00 (a new comparable refrigerator/freezer would have been about $9,000 to $10,000.) After several weeks, the temperature started to rise and Igor returned with Michael. They spent half a day working on the unit and replaced the coiling system because the old one was corroded. Igor did not charge me anything at the time because he was not sure it would work. He said that he would call me back after several weeks and if it was still working, he would charge me then. Just yesterday, it started getting warm again, only to start working again later in the evening. Igor came out, looked at everything and determined that the motor should be replace. He replaced the motor and it is currently working fine. He charged me $1,500.00 for all of the work he had done previously, including the new motor. Throughout the process, Igor was very professional, worked to minimize the repair to keep the cost down, was very up-front about the potential total cost and and warranted his work so that we would not have to pay if he could not fix it. I am extremely pleased with Igor's abilities and professionalism and would gladly use him again and recommend him.

I picked Univeral Appliance Service, Inc out of the monthly publication from Angie's List. When the gentleman answered the phone I asked him to confirm that he was with Universal Appliance Service Inc as his greating did not state this, and he confirmed he was. I asked him if he served my area of Grand Terrace and he began to yell at me that I had already called him this morning and he told me it was too far. I had NOT called him this morning, and since I have a blocked number, he had no way of telling if my number matched the call he recevied earlier like he tried to say he could. I assured him I will never do business with him due to this phone call

Igor arrived promptly and carefully inspected my dishwasher, which was only 18 months old. He diagnosed the problem and had to order the part. He arrived a couple of days later with the part and successfully fixed my dishwasher. He was honest and reliable, and we will use him again if we require any sort of appliance repair!

Igor showed up on time. I had ordered a replacement for the burnt-out display panel of my oven control panel, but he installed it at no charge when he fixed my oven door. All is well more than a year after he fixed it. Igor was knowledgeable and honest. I would use Universal again.

They came when they said they were going to come. He was pretty efficient.

Was able to schedule the first appointment very promptly, then had to wait for a part to be ordered, Igor called to let me know that the part had arrived just before Thanksgiving, and he was able to schedule the repair visit as soon as we returned from our trip. He arrives punctually within the time window he provides. Very pleased, will definitely call him again if we need him for any appliance repair.

They replaced my dishwasher pump. He was very courisus and timely. He went out of his way the find the part I needed.

Igor was very professional and efficient. He arrived with a helper within the 2 hour period promised, and checked out the refrigerator. He then gave me the option of showing me how to clean the line and coils myself, or to have him do it for $165. He explained that he gave me a $20 discount for being an Angie's List member. I may have misheard the amount, but $165 is what I remember. I mention this because the ultimate bill was $185, $20 more, which surprised me, although Igor insisted he had said $185. I would advise everyone to get the initial quote in writing! I opted to have him do it and he did a great job - cleaned the freezer compartment itself - and did it in about an hour. In the days since, monitoring the freezer and refrigerator compartments with thermometers, the temperature has been perfect and so too Igor's repair work.

This provider answered my call promptly and he gave 2 hour window - which is always nicer than a 3-5 window. He arrived and diagnosed the problem quickly, gave an estimate, fixed it and was done! Great service and no complaints.

I had received all the parts in advance of the service call. So when Igor arrived he got right to work and fixed it very quickly despite the fact that in his 25 years this was only the 3rd time he'd seen this problem. Igor is definitely enjoys his work and takes pride is doing it well.

Igor was prompt and knowledgeable. We will call him again.

I contacted Igor on 10/13/2014 regarding our ice maker not producing ice cubes. Igor came out on 10/15 and took a look at our ice maker by removing it and determined that it was the ice maker itself that was not working and that the water line was not blocked. He thought he had a replacement ice maker with him and when he went to install it he could not because it was not the right kind. He said he would check at his office and see if he had an ice maker that was compatiable with ours and if not he would order one. Igor said that he would call us later, but we did not hear back from him. He then returned the next afternoon on 10/16 and appologized for not calling, but had lost our phone number. He replaced our ice maker with in 15 mins with a new one. He told us that if there were any problems to let him know and that the ice maker would be working with in the day. He was right and within a few hours the ice maker was working. We now have ice and it is working just great.

He was quick in responding to my contact and came almost immediately to check on my washer. He diagnosed the problem and recommended I not spend money to replace the noisy part. He advised me how to prolong the life of the washing machine (which is fairly new) -- advice I have been using ever since. He checked the rest of the machine, cleaned up professionally, and went on his way quickly. I appreciate contractors like him who don't recommend work I don't need.

We had a leaking washer and it looked like it had died. My wife was frustrated by the low performance reviews of the many new washer options we explored ? top loaders driven by inflexible computer chips with high repair ratings or front loaders that couldn?t be opened to add that overlooked towel. She wanted her old washer working again, and Igor did just that. After a quick diagnosis he found and ordered new parts for our old machine and got it working smoothly again. He even cleaned the years of dust from the guts of the machine and left the room spotless when he was done. He did what he said he would for the reasonable price he quoted on his first visit. He was friendly and easy to talk with, yet worked skillfully, efficiently and with integrity. He even reminded us of the $20 discount on his Angie?s List ad. Very impressive.

He showed up on time, his price is very reasonable and he did a great job. His son was working with him and his son came out and they fixed the problem. They came out and ordered the parts and then he came back spent half an hour to have the parts installed and it was working beautifully. He has a very pleasant personality so I don't hesitate to recommend him.
