Needed the dishwasher fixed the repairman came and did a great job fixed the dishwasher in no time.

It went well. He showed up on time--was honest and professional and tried to save me money. He recommended a cheap fix for my cooktop. Good at communicating via e-mail. Highly recommend.

I canceled the service call.

I was delighted to hear it was a simple $75.00 fix. So nice to get straightforward and honest service.

I bought a service big deal on Angie's List so that I could ascertain whether I could repair my vintage 1960s wall oven, which worked perfectly but needed to be vented properly, and to have someone take a look at my furnace. I was told upon Igor's arrival that he could not look at the furnace because he wasn't licensed to fix them. No problem. I emailed Universal Appliance Services and notified them that Igor could not advise me on the furnace and they responded quickly to refund half of the Big Deal expense since it was originally for the inspection of two appliances and now Igor would only be looking at one. They were fast and professional with this and I appreciated it. With the oven, I did explain via email and again to Igor when he arrived that this oven had not been vented properly and I was mainly interested in finding out how this could be corrected or if this could be corrected. This is a wall oven under the counter and the previous contractor redirected the vent which causes the countertop to get very warm when I bake anything - that seems unsafe so I wanted to know Igor's expert opinion on the matter. Initially, Igor refused to believe me that the vent of my oven was located where I was explaining until I dug out some actual photos so that he could finally see what was under our counter. Only then did he finally say that there was nothing to be done and that newer is better anyway. I shouldn't have an old oven, but I should just remove the cabinetry and the cooktop and get a new push-in range. Well, that wasn't particularly helpful. He seemed more intent on the easy solution rather than what my main concerns were for the oven. But even that was ok; I did call him for his opinion. What I found frustrating was feeling like he had no interest in hearing just actual facts before advising me, like where the vent was located, and even less interest in hearing what I was trying to achieve. It's ok if what I wanted was not achievable, but he could have at least heard everything I had to say before telling me definitively that "nothing could be done." He seemed like a nice guy, but maybe we were just having difficulty communicating...

Nothing. They offered a coupon, which I purchased. I immediately provided information to setup an appointment. They responded back that they don't service my area... but Diamond Bar was listed as the area they do serve. How do I get my money back?

Walked in there last week while I was waiting for my car to be serviced down the street (at a Yelp recommended shop) and asked if he had a part for my 20 year old stove top. Murphy tapped at his computer and, a couple of key strokes later, there was the part on his screen. I'd been looking on line on and off for a year and a half and couldn't find it.

We were advised to replace our washer and were given a price to fix our dryer (which was ver old). Provider also recommended we have our dryer vent thoroughly cleaned. Which we did following our visit. In the end we decided not to repair either unit and bought a new washer and dryer during labor day sales.

The Refrigerator is in a rental unit and had been turned off for about a month. It was having problems prior to being shut off. When the technician showed up, he identified that he really needed it to be on for a few hours before he could provide me with a more accurate diagnosis. He was excellent at returning at the approximate time he identified that he would be back. After checking things out, he let me know that there was not any repair that needed to be recommended at that moment. I accepted that and the $75 was paid. My only complaint was that he wanted to charge me an additional $25 for a $100 charge. He identified that if I paid the $100, it was a guarantee on his diagnosis and I would pay a lesser fee if he had to come back and make an actual repair. First, I didn't understand why $75 didn't provide me with some guarantee and I was not about to pay an extra $25. I purchased a BIG DEAL because it's supposed to be a deal. I was not in the market for being "upcharged" once the tech arrived. All in all, I thought he was a good technician and was prompt at arriving on both occasions.

Igor was on time for the estimate and the service. Quoted us a price and quickly did the work when the parts were available.

tMy first contact with Universal Appliance Service was by telephone. At that point I told them I had a Bosch stackable washer and dryer set. After that conversation, our communication switched to email. In a email I gave them the model number and serial number of the washing machine . I took time off work to be home for their visit. Unfortunately they only sent one guy when they need two to deal with the stackable set. So I wasted my time off work and we had to reschedule for another day. That why they are getting a B rating. When they returned the work was completed in a timely manner, they cleaned by after themselves and everything was fine. Price for the parts and labour was on the high end of normal but competitive . In other words, he price was acceptable. if you have stackables, you must make sure they are bringing a two man crew or you waste will time off work like i did.

No help. Not willing to make things work, wants to work in a world where everything is new. Not flexible nor helpful at all to find solutions that make good economical sense.

Our dryer was giving us problems so we decided to give these guys a call. They came on time and immediately found the problem they replaced a part in the dryer and it's been working great ever since great job by this company.

Were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Arrived and determined the issue to be a problem with the defrosting system that keeps the water supply to the ice maker flowing (likely a result of the freezer being left open at some point)... Rather than suggesting an expensive repair or otherwise, he provided detailed information as to how we could (for free) defrost and reset the system on our own and see if that would resolve the issue prior to moving forward with part replacement installation, etc.... Well, his advice worked, and after two days of defrosting and emptying the resulting runoff from the fridge, it was plugged back in (shiny and clean - so pretty!) and the icemaker worked. It really surprised me that a repair service would come out and suggest a free, do-it-yourself repair before and in lieu of a pricier, higher-yielding part replacement/repair.

My oven had stopped working. I called @ 4:23p & Igor answered the phone. He stated that they would be at my place between 5:00p-6:00p. Igor arrived at my home at 5:58p, accessed that it was an igniter problem, & had it replaced by 6:30p. He even took a look at my microwave. Diagnosed the problem & gave me a quote to fix it, but suggested buying a new one would be better. Will used them again

Very well. Another repair shop diagnosed the problem as the computer board but Igor got it right. He really seems to know his trade.

My wife as been telling that the dishwasher wasn't working and I've been forgetting to call someone. After a quick search on Angie's List I finally got someone to come over which of course was Universal Appliance which was one of top companies listed on my search. They fixed the job no time and now the dishwasher has no problems at the time thank you again Universal Appliance.

This job went very smoothly and was easy peasy for me, just how I like it! At our rental property, we had issues with the dishwasher cycling water but dishes not ending up clean. Not being very handy, I knew it would be a waste of my time to visit the rental and try to fix anything myself, so I decided to bite the bullet and call an appliance technician to come out. I was lucky enough to find an Angie's List deal for Universal Appliance Service Inc, with great reviews at that! I bought the deal on Sunday, and Igor contacted me on Monday and was able to schedule a visit at my first preference time on Tuesday afternoon. I gave him the background, and he was able to meet and deal directly with the renter, find and fix the problem without any follow-up services, and call me afterward with the results. So lovely! Thank you so much Igor for making this such an easy fix.

They arrived on time and as soon as he found the problem he let us know what the problem was and what it would cost. Thought it was a bit pricey but we needed it fixed. So he did very good and honest our refrigerator has been working great haven't had problems with it lately great job.

Hooray for an honest man who knows what he is talking about! Our washing machine is wearing out, clunking louder and louder. Igor checked the play in the main drum and assessed quickly that the main bearing is worn out. He recommended using the machine until it ceases to function, then replacing it rather than spending the money to replace the main bearing. He gave us great advice about maintaining the refridgerator and avoiding buying a unit with more expensive electronics to wear out and be expensive to maintain. It was clear he had our interests and needs in mind instead of trying to sell more services. He's a breath of fresh air. Thank you, Igor!

The technician was generally rude and weren't able to address the issue.

Great easy work at least what it looked like from watching the worker perform his job. Found what the problem was with our dryer and did what needed to be done for our dryer to work once again. Very pleased with the work thank you

This company sounded good so we called them up they arrived on time and quickly found the problem. He let us know the price for the fix which I was ok with just wanted it fixed and he managed to fix it. Great job

Communication was good and the technician was prompt and professional. The repair was done in 20-30 minutes. The price for the igniter part was marked up 300% compared to Amazon, but that is probably to be expected.

Ask repairman to clean out the vents in the back and maybe the condenser was iced over so freezer stopped working. Also asked that the rubber around the fridge be replaced to stop the leaking. Repairman said I should just vacuum the vents yearly and that I had spilled something so did not think that replacing the rubber would help. I told him that I did vacuum but that I don't have the equipment to reach all the way inside and that the liquid continues to leak for weeks even after I thoroughly cleaned the fridge. He took my coupon number, wrote me an invoice and left. What a waste of $75!
