We really liked Universal. Came back promptly with parts to fix dishwasher. Saved us a lot on buying a new one, as it was a quality washer. Friendly, prompt, fair, professional. They will get it right!

I have a GE Monogram refrigerator. Igor said that model has had many issues. He said he would like to help me, but with my broken compressor and who knows what else it would be better to buy a new refrigerator. I appreciated his honesty.

Igor responded to my initial call that day. accessed the problems, ordered the parts and returned another day to make the repairs. very pleasant and efficient! he even made an adjustment on my dishwasher door on a call back for no charge. i would recommend him and certainly use him again.

Got a hold of Igor on first call and scheduled date for Saturday between 2 and 5PM. Igor's partner showed up right at 2 and was finished with the job in short order. Washer works great now and water flow is much better.

Igor was great. He came over several times (all on Saturdays at my request!) to work on getting the correct part. It took a few tries since I didn't have a model number but he kept working on it til we found the right one and got it working. Always friendly, punctual, responsive and helpful.

Communication with the company (the guy that picks up the phone) was bad. The person was impatient and kind of rude. The appointment they gave is simply an arrival window, so "additional time" will need to be prepared for their "actual work" but without an estimate. The guy that picked up the phone (not the technician) was not happy and refused to follow up with the technician when I asked if there would be possibly delay (after half of the window passed with no show). This will not work well for people like us who had to take time off from work in order to "wait" at home for them to show up. Can't comment on the quality of real work since the technician came and recommended not performing the job. So we just paid the $45 for visit.

The telephone call to Igor went very well. He asked question on what work i needed. We set up an appointment. Igor was very punctual. He replaced the ice maker without any problem. Before he left, he checked the freezer temperature to make sure everything was working properly. Igor is very professional. He definitely does a better job than the people Kitchen Aid sends for their warranty work. I would definitely recommend him and would use him again if there is a need in the future.

In one of a recent string of DWP power outages, a surge fried the electronics in my very expensive double oven. The surge also fried my toaster oven, so I've been doing lots of frying, microwaving and BBQing! Anyway, I was faced with the possibility of having to find a replacement double oven for several thousand dollars. The provider came and took away the circuit board, found someone to repair it and returned and re-installed it. It wasn't cheap, but the work was done professionally. It took a while for the work to be completed (had to mail off the parts for refurb and wait, wait, wait), but that wasn't the provider's fault, just the nature of the repair.

Igor answered my phone call on the first call, and we scheduled an appointment for him to come to my house the very next morning (A Sunday). He took apart our dryer which is in a very small shed (very cramped work space for him) in the back of our house and found out we needed a new blower kit. He ordered it and installed it as soon as the part came in. Straightforward, honest, great work, and saved us from buying a new dryer. Would definitely hire him again.

Even though Igor was an hour late (traffic), he came the same day which is really great! He fairly adjust his price lower since the job was not as difficult. He was in and out in less than an hour. I would call on him again.

Igor was great, he responded promptly professionally, and came out on a Sunday to make the repair. The built-in had to be pulled out to be repaired. I would highly recommend his services

Our GE under-counter bar refrigerator with an icemaker inside was not cooling properly and was long ago out of warranty. Igor answered my call promptly, came out and checked and found it was icing up on the back wall inside. He pulled the bar refrigerator out (a very tight fit), I placed plastic and towels under it, and I waited several days for it to defrost. Igor told me the temperature control panel, which could not be lowered on the touch screen, might work again once the unit was defrosted, which would save me the cost of replacing that item. He was correct and saved me some money there. Igor returned with two parts to repair the refrigerator, a sensor for the refrigerator side and a damper control, once the refrigerator was defrosted inside. Then Igor had me check it for about 5 days to make sure it was cooling properly and that no ice was forming on the back wall. When all seemed well, Igor returned. I told him I wanted to check the icemaker feature before he reinstalled it, so he turned on the icemaker, which meant another return trip for Igor another day since it would require a day to make sure ice cubes were being made properly. I paid Igor for that trip charge, which was very fair since it was my call to wait for the icemaker to work, but he did not charge me for the final reinstallation trip another day. He was very careful reinstalling the bar refrig. to not scratch our wood floors. Excellent service and far better than I'd received in the past for a different problem from the bar refrigerator manufacturer who charged a bigger trip charge and did very little. And Igor did a quick check of our Sub Zero in our kitchen gratis for me during one of the visits. I'll stick with Universal Appliance Service from now on. Thanks Igor!

Igor was FABULOUS. We almost missed our appointment for the day (our fault), but Igor was able to come later in the evening. Seriously. Now, that is CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Our microwave is now micro-waving again. Great service. Better even, we felt Igor was trustworthy, succinct in not only diagnosis, but also repair. ?. Note: Igor is one of the funniest guys around!! No joke (pun emphatically intended!). He truly missed his calling. We give Igor 100 PERCENT!!!

Igor showed up right on time. He was friendly and professional. He took apart the microwave and showed me exactly what went wrong with it. He then gave me a price and asked if I wanted him to fix it. I said yes, and he fixed the microwave in about 15 minutes. He was in and out in about a half hour. I highly recommend him!

I called Universal on Monday afternoon and they scheduled an appointment for the next morning. My dryer was running but no heat. Igor, the repair specialist, arrived on time and was very professional. He explained things and fixed the problem right away. I have used Universal before for other service repairs and they have always done a great job.

Arrived on time for initial visit. Needed parts that were not available and sent off for them the same day. Igor called with updates on how long it would be for part to arrive, Made an appointment for the same day as part arrived and set approximate time. On that day he caslled as soon as the part arrived and asked if I wanted him to come right away. He was punctual, knowledgeable and courteous. Left no mess. Would definitely use again.

Other service providers said they wouldn't be able to fix it. However, Universal was able to order the part and get it fixed right away. Igor was the one who did the service. He was very prompt and clean and did everything he was supposed to do.

Our 15 year old built in GE Monogram Refrigerator / Freezer has been running a bit loud and warm for several weeks. I thought we were nearing the end of its life and a new unit will be anywhere from $6 to $10 thousand I called Universal Appliance Service on a Friday morning. Igor answered right away. He was not able to come the same day, but he was able to come the following morning. Which was just fine. Upon his arrival on Saturday morning, within minutes he knew what the issue was and quoted me the price. He did not have the spray needed to clean the coils, so we worked out that he would return first thing Tuesday morning. Before he left on Saturday, he vacuumed the coil to remove the dust / lint. The heat from the refrigerator noticeably cooled. Igor returned as promised on Tuesday AM to meet my schedule. He even re-scheduled a personal appointment he had to meet my schedule. Igor sprayed and vacuumed the coils and within minutes he was done. We are so grateful for Universal Appliance Service, Inc.'s prompt response . We just hope that we didn't wait too long to call Igor and that the unit will continue running much cooler and efficient now that the coils have been cleaned. We will be calling Igor and Universal Appliance Service, Inc. for future business. We are very satisfied..

It's been a nightmare working with Angie's List, plus the Angie's List supervisors Jessica and Kyle who doesn't return calls. and this vendor. Also the concierge desk sent a company which had no one experienced to handle the ULine refrigerator.

They diagnosed the problem as being outside the machine, in the plumbing, so they were not able to do the work. they did try to convince me that I need a new agitator, but I did not want to spend money on that until I knew what it would cost to get a plumber to fix the leak. Also, I'm not entirely convinced that the agitator really needs to be replaced. Still, I would give them a try again if I need other large appliance repairs.

Igor was wonderful. I called Friday afternoon and he came over within an hour. He quickly took the machine apart and assessed that we had one of 3 problems: a pump, a motor, or a transmission. Of the 3 possibilities, the best case scenario would be the pump-worst case would be the transmission, which would not be cost-effective to fix. Igor came back soon the next day with parts in hard and quickly concluded that the problem was a broken pump. Yeah for me! Igor applied my first day service fee to the second visit. I was so happy and grateful to him and will keep him on speed-dial from now on. Highly recommend!!!

I found Igor on Angie's list and he was everything all other reviews said he was. Friendly, prompt, efficient, clear and most of all he fixed my oven! He came out on Monday assessed the situation, ordered my parts and was back on Friday to repair it. I was very happy with his service!!
