It was a mixed experience. I had Universal out to my home 2xs for this issue. The first time was on March 20. Mark came to repair the washer and he was extremely professional and friendly and explained everything he was doing as he went along. As the problem was intermittent, the washer, of course, did not make the noise while he was testing it. He cleaned out the drain and whatever else appeared to need cleaning and found a penny that clearly had been running around inside there for awhile. I expressed surprise that a single penny could cause so much noise but Mark felt it could. He put the washer back together and I paid $159 for the service. A couple of days ago, the exact same noise happened again. I spoke to Igor who was gruff and unfriendly and clearly seemed to think I had done something wrong and that there was now a new problem. Inasmuch as it sounded exactly the same, I doubted it. Igor called back the next day and we scheduled a return service call for today. Mark came back and was again extremely professional. He took the machine apart again and, apparently in or near the place he found the penny last time, found a wire (probably from an underwire bra) that had been rattling around in there. Hopefully this is what was causing the noise. The wire was worn on one end and it appears it had been rolling around in the guts of the washer for some time. I was charged another $99. I said I thought that was unfair. Mark explained it wasn't his fault there was something else in there and since either he couldn't see it last time, or it got in there since the last service call, I had to pay the service fee charge. Obviously I am not a service technician and don't know how difficult it is to find foreign objects rattling around inside a Whiirlpool front load washer. I can also have no way of knowing whether the wire was in there when he came the last time or if he should have found it last time, but I stingily believe it was and that he should have. think it was wrong to charge me another $99 just 20 days later. I won't be using Universal again

Igor checked the oven out, gave me two estimates depending on which fix was needed. Luckily he was able to repair the oven at the lower estimate. He was very efficient and explained everything he did to repair my oven.

Igor arrived on time and checked on why our dishwasher wasn't working. He tried several solutions, then had to order a new Control Panel, which arrived a week later. He then installed the new Panel, ran a dishwasher cleanser through, and it's been working beautifully ever since. The dishwasher is 8 years old, and we thought we'd have to buy a new one, but thanks to Igor, we can probably keep it running for a while longer. We'd highly recommend him.

Igor did an excellent job and he is very knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed it. He did not try to up sell on parts or labor and he held to his estimate. I will be calling Igor in the future if I need appliance repair work done.

I am amazed at how well the Dacor is now functioning. I bake and cook daily and it is a joy to have my oven and stove working so well. Obviously Mr. Rozman is knowledgeable and effective in rehabilitating even the most dysfunctional appliances. I plan to call him again for appliance repair in the future. Thanks!

We started with an on-time arrival despite my service call being added to the end of an already full day -Thank you for squeezing me in! The service technician was a true gentleman, polite, courteous, and respectful. The problem was intermittent so naturally when the technician arrived the drier appeared to function properly. Once the drier was apart the technician noticed the ignitor/gas coil was not operating quite right. In short order the part was replaced, the drier was reassembled and drying as it should. Because my drier is quite old the technician offered some good advice about how to operate the drier to help make it last as long as possible.

From the first contact, Igor of Universal appliance was pleasant and professional. His first service call was prompt. He had to order parts, and as soon as they came in he contacted us. He was professional and courteous on all visits to our home for the repair of the freezer. He saved us from having to buy a new SubZero because he was able to repair this older one we had. He also advised us on a dishwasher problem we had, at no charge. We appreciate his great service and , if the need arises, will use his company in the future. I highly recommend Igor and Universal Appliance.

Went great- gentleman was very punctual within the allotted window. He carefully took apart the cooktop, ensured the counter was softened by towels. Took about 30 min from beginning to end. Cleaned out the control board linkage and the cooktop works great. Thought the repair could be costly after reading online about existing issues the Electrolux cooktop, but it was a simple fix. Will call again when appliances have problems.

Our washing machine was not working. Vic came and did the inspection. He said the transmission needed to be rebuilt and he could do it for $650. We chose to rebuild it because he said the new machines were not as good. He came back a few days later on the weekend because it was more convenient for us. He did a phenomenal job and the machine is working great. Thanks Vic!

They came out promptly the first time to fix my dishwasher. Next, it stopped again one week later, which meant the fuse had blown. Highly recommend!

He came within the time frame and determined my refrigerator need a new part that he needed to order. He came the next week, again on time, and installed the part. He works quickly, is very professional,has a great sense of humor and gave me a sense of trust and competency in his work. After he did the work I saw that the monthly Angie's list magazine had a feature on him which confirmed my sense that he was an excellent at his work.

Igor arrived exactly at our scheduled time. He diagnosed the problem and solved the problem in about 20 or so minutes. He was courteous and professional. I plan to call on him again when the need arises.

We have another appliance repair company we have happily used in the past, but they could not come out on the weekend. With the food in our refrigerator going bad, we decided to hit Angie's List for other options. Igor came exactly when he said he would (on a Sunday). I learned that I should not have unplugged the refrigerator, because it made it harder for him to find the problem. Despite my error, Igor quickly figured out the problem was either a bad relay or a bad compressor. If it was the compressor, it would likely mean buying a new refrigerator. The relay would cost $240. Here is the good part: Igor offered to install the relay to see if that would fix it. If not he would remove the relay and refund the money. That made for a very easy decision. The relay worked, and my beer is cold for the Super Bowl. Igor is professional, knowledgable, fast, and honest. What more would you want?

Igor was very knowledable about what needed to be done, and took care of ordering and replacing parts for the dishwasher. He really went out of his way to repair a shelf that could not be replaced for a refrigerator. He was very good about following through on what needed to be done. Will definitely call him again.

Igor arrived promptly at the appointed time to repair my refrigerator. After spending considerable time examining it, he informed me that the problem could be either the motor or computer or both. He advised me that he would order a motor and install it and see if it solved the problem. As it was afternoon on Friday, he wasn't able to obtain a motor until late Saturday. Igor called and, knowing we were without a refrigerator told us he would install it on Sunday!?and he came then as promised. When he left we had to wait to see if that would solve the problem. When it failed to do so, Igor said we'd have to send the part away for repair as he couldn't locate any computers for it. When I said I would rather purchase a new machine than put much money into this older unit, Igor agreed, advised me as to what types of refrigerator would be advisable and then charmed me a very, fair reasonable sum for his two visits. I am absolutely overwhelmed by this man's professionalism, ethics, integrity, and empathy for our problem. I cannot recommend him highly enough!

My refrigerator began to warm up only a few days before we were to close on the sale of our home. I needed it repaired quickly and called Universal, based on the reviews I read on Angie's List. The guy came out the same day and diagnosed the problem within a few minutes. He returned the next day with parts and had the unit repaired within a half hour. While I wouldn't say Universal is inexpensive, they were priced fairly and very responsive and professional. I would recommend this company.

Igor responded to my call promptly. As it turns out, I was home ill from work and he was able to come earlier than my scheduled appt. which was a couple of days later. |Igor was clean, prompt and went right to work. After removing the microwave and testing it, he determined that I needed a new magnetron. This is where the bulk of the cost for repairs came from. He asked me if I wanted to repair it or just have him put it back in the wall. Since the unit was old and it would cost a lot more than a new microwave it wasn't an easy choice. However, since I have no room for a new microwave on my counter, and trying to get a new one to fit in the corresponding spot where the existing microwave was, I felt I had no choice but to repair it. |Igor left to get the replacement part, returned, replaced it, tested it a few times, then put the unit back in. All is well and in good working order. I am very happy with his services and would use/recommend Universal/Igor again. |

We value Igor's professionalism and honesty. He called us back the same day. He came out and was punctual to our scheduled appointment. He inspected and gave us an estimate for the 3 major appliances that we needed repair: Credo gas cooktop, Maytag electric oven and Maytag dishwasher. Igor repaired everything and was honest to tell us that the circuit board for the oven did not need to be replaced and therefore our final bill was $200 less than his original estimate that we agreed upon. I would use him again for other appliance repairs.

I had a couple of things that had to be looked at (washing machine and a refidgerator). He was reliable and arrived when he said he would. He got down to businiess and did the job. One job couldn't be totally completed, as I might need to get a new washing machine, but it's fine for the moment. I was pleased over all with him as a contractor. He appeared to know what he was doing.

Igor took my call on Christmas Eve about a broken frig. We could not believe it. He came to our home on Christmas Day and again the day after. He tried very hard to help us and he saved us thousands as he reminded me of our extended warranty on the sealed parts of the system. I would highly recommend igor and he will be the only bright part of any future appliance repair. Thank you!

They were my first call due to Angie's List reviews and coupon. I was really in a jam because our washing machine gave out in the middle of a load and we had company arriving that evening for a week long stay. I was very impressed by how quickly they arrived. Our tech was quick to diagnose the problem and had to call for a part in order to complete the repair. I would say that from the time of the washer failure to them wrapping up the repair was less than two hours. Unbelievably impressive. Quick and courteous.

Igor was on time, very professional and polite. Install the part very quickly even though he had to take the whole dryer apart.

I can't give you all the details--I wasn't trying to learn how to repair refrigerators. But Igor was great: competent and reassuring.
