Highly Recommended. This is so far the best experience we've had, and we went through a fair share of renovation projects which ranged from nightmarish (very often) to borderline ok (sometimes). Val, Falkon's contractor, and his team proved to us that you can still find HONEST AND RELIABLE contractors in Los Angeles area, and believe us we've given up a long time ago. Everything was top notch starting from customer service and ending with taking care of small things after the job. From the beginning, Val, Falkon's contractor, was courteous and fair with his pricing. We went through several revisions of the scope of the job and hence the pricing, and Val was extremely patient and went through every single detail of the project. I really liked the fact that not only Val was available via phone but he was also highly responsive via e-mail. It helped move things along: we were emailing each other comments, pictures of possible stones, lists of things that needed to be done. Then his crew came along. Confident, quiet and efficient. Everything is done by code and the best possible way. When they ran into problems they would present us with a list of possible solutions, let us decide and only then move along. (Most contractors we've dealt with cut corners and plowed along without notifying us of the choices made) Like I said, every single detail is discussed so there were no surprises. Val was involved in every decision, he was in constant communication with me and his foreman, Charlie, and he was on site EVERY SINGLE DAY. Go with these guys, you won't be disappointed. And Val and Charlie, you are THE ROCK STARS. Thank you for our beautiful patio and porch.

I searched Angie's List for brick masons in my area and contacted three by email, explaining it was a small job. The first contractor to call me back said he might be able to schedule it some time next week, but he wouldn't know until next week, and it would cost $300. The next day Val Mataele from Falkon Concrete and Masonry contacted me by phone, and offered to send the next day a young skilled mason named Elias for $200, none of which he (Val) personally would keep. I agreed. Elias turned up on time, assessed the job, made a quick trip to buy mortar, finished the job in less than two hours, and it looks great. Elias said that the area would be set enough to be walked upon in 24 hours, so I put an inverted plastic tub over the area to protect it. Both Elias and Val were a pleasure to deal with, polite, kind and knowledgeble.

I am very happy with the work that was done. Val came out and gave us a good bid on the job to replace an uneven concrete pad and replace it with pavers and extended it out so my husband will not have to bar-b-que in the dirt. Val and his crew did a wonderful job and I will hire him again if I need some additional hardscaping done.

Val was incredibly professional and helpful. His crew demoed and removed a large concrete driveway in one day. Although an unavoidable mess was created with the Bobcat rolling back and forth on dirt all day, the area was spotless once the job was complete. The worker didn't have a precise tool get get at a couple of small and hard to access corners, but he came back the following day to perfect these areas as well. Even after the job, Val continued to help by providing contacts for contractors outside his area of expertise for the other phases of my project. I wouldn't do another job without calling Falkon Concrete first.

It was the highest estimate that we received and it seemed a bit high. Though cost was a part of it, we went with another company that actually works with the door company and they need to coordinate. We found that company and that is why we opted for it. We probably wouldn't want to pay that price. He could have tried to reduce the prices if he could but he was always very responsive. If we had other work, I would call him again.

We were very pleased with the quality of the work. Falkon fastened the steel tie braces firmly in place. Val Mataele, the owner of Falkon, was courteous, prompt, and dependable.

We needed to remove old concrete so that we could begin to landscape - we were told that we would have to use a jackhammer and that it would be pricey. We gave Val the measurements and thought he could price from that but he insisted on coming out to see what the work was and to ask us questions. Not only did he say the job would not require a jackhammer, (so much easier on neighbors & us), but that it could be done quickly on a Saturday morning. When we eventually install pavers and fix our driveway we will definitely use Val as he is not only professional but also pleasant and honest. (I wrote the check incorrectly - in Val's favor - but he called us about an hour later after he noticed the error and refunded the difference)

Very happy with the job Leeds did. Val answered my call for a estimate the same day and e-mailed the bid to me that night. I called him and accepted his bid,he then e-mailed me a copy of contract and we were set to go. Crew came out on time on Monday did demolition built forms and set rebar. Crew came back on time Tuesday,poured concrete did finish and clean up. My wife was home both days and was very pleased with the crews courtesy,work ethic (no standing around) and clean up. My wife's not easy to please (believe me). Leeds is a very professional and competent contractor. (this is NOT some handyman using day labor) I recomend them for any cement work you need done. I definitely would hire them again.
