Dan employs some questionable 'handymen' who seemed to know less than me on how to install some appliances. Work was not always a good as you would want. In other words, the work was only as good as I might do, and I really wanted someone who was better than me. On the other hand, Dan was very easy going and tried to be helpful. If somethings wasn't done properly, he tried to fix it. I do still have a patched up hole in the top of my corner cabinet where one of his team mismeasured for a cabinet light.

Dan Is great, I have been using his services for the last 10 years. He takes care of all the repairs for my rentals, my parents house and my primary home. He does a fantastic job and I highly recommend him.

Dan estimated the work at 1 1/2 to 2 days but it actually took closer to 3 days. The quality of the work was good. The price was what

Dan returned our call the same day that we made it. He gave us an estimate the following day and the next day the fence was put in. He had 2 workers install the fence and paint it. They worked until it was dark and were able to finish the job. The fence is very sturdy and solid. They were very professional and cleaned up and left no mess. We will definitely use Dan again.

Work started okay with carpentry and drywall work. Most of the work was done by Dan's brother. They had a hard time completing the work they wanted to finish each day as they didn't show up un 10AM or later so the project ran over the estimated days to complete. The finish work was a big problem. Dan couldn't match the texture sprayed on the new drywall with the old wall so there was a noticeable difference from the new section and the old. Dan said he was an expert in molding as well. Turned out floor molding didn't fit correctly as the cuts were wrong. Our crown molding had been special ordered and we only had one piece long enough to replace the section in the dinning room he was remodeling. He was perplexed in getting things to fit and I finally had to tell him to stop before he ruined my molding. I told Dan I was going to call back my professional molding guy to finish the work. I had made the BIG mistake of paying Dan in full the night before as he was supposed to finish up the molding work the next morning in just a few hours and be done with the job. He was going to reimburse me the money for what my molding guy charged to finish the job. My molding guy did some amazing work to save the pieces Dan had cut wrong. When I tried to get Dan to pay me back the $150 for crown molding and floor molding I had to have finished by someone else, Dan wouldn't return my calls or emails.

"this review is misleading the work was scheduled to be started between 9:30 & 10:00 a.m. & finish the day at 5:30 or 6:00 p.m. 2 days total labor over 3 day period to allow for drywall mud to cure & dry. we had no difficulty with finishing the job we were asked to stop because they preffered a previous worker to install the crown molding. still puzzled as to why they felt the job would not be finished to their sastisfaction as I assured it would be but, we spent more time on the job than estimated so when John suggested having his other worker completing the work I reponded with that & that I would not charge any less than agreed upon. john replied ( I'm fine with paying you the $1600.00 and keep my wife happy, happy wife happy life). the next day we showed up early in the morning to finish the job when John indicated that the would be more comfortable with the other guy finishing the crown molding. we finished the base board. he asked for a refund for what the othe worker might charge to which I responded let me know his price & i'll condsider if it's worth it for him to finish or just complete the work myself. I was not contacted again with that info: until the other worker had already completed the work, leaving me no option. so those ddecisions were not mine but the customers & he'll need to live with them."

They were prompt about fixing the latches and did a good job. the window that needed to be rep oared needed some parts. I had to call them after a few days of waiting and no contact to find out the status. As soon as they received the parts, however, they came by promptly and fixed the window.They were very professional and very courteous. They charged what they estimated and the price was reasonable. I would certainly not have a problem using them again.

I wouldn't hire him again. I was said that the job was not that good. It was a lot of money for a job that wasn't good. The communication with the business owner was terrible. I kept calling him and calling him and he didn't call me back. The electrical work was really good and his guys were nice but the bottom line was that they didn't do what I ask. A good potion of the money was for the paint job and I got a terrible job. Some of the work they did was good but they said they would show up at 9am on one day and then the next day say "sorry we got a late start" when they didn't show up till 11am. They were very professional because if they were they would have said I will prime and paint the walls again no matter if I have other jobs or not. I had some other work that needed to be done aside from the paint and I called him to come and bid and he didn't even have the common decency to call me back. He knew he did a bad job.

I am going to have him back to do more work. I really liked him. He was more personable, and honest. I bought the wrong products and he had to deal with that, so I felt he was very fair with the prices. He was punctual, responsive, and professional.

In the beginning, the crew moved quickly but as things were added and or subtracted, the crew was very willing to make necessary changes,the door which used to be in the kitchen and is now covered by a brand new stainless steel refrig and beautiful cabinets. The workmanship is beyond belief, He and his crew work very hard to make your vision come true. He will stay with you and listen to all of your concerns.the kitchen was a total remodel, ceiling floors painting custom cabinets, lighting,painting,electrical.I am 100% satisfied with the price and the workmanship. and when ever I need to speak with Dan , he always calls me back. excellent service.

Met with Dan and explained what I wanted done. He sent me an estimate.Next set up an appointment. The first day the men arrived on time and ready to work.The cement was removed and discarded.All the men were professional and courteous.Told me when they were leaving and when they would be back. Then they went to work and put new cement and drains in the pattio.They told us when we could use the patio and move the furniture back.The men were all very neat and cleaned everything when done! Excellent job! Will use them again to complete the back part of my patio.

I have used Handydan before several times but by far this was the biggest and most diverse work. Matt and Chris, Dan's two brothers worked my house for two weeks preparing it to go on the market and fix the original lousy job done by the painter used when I bought the house. Matt and Chris had a big challenge since they were covering not only bad painting but terrible choice of colors in the kitchen and bathroom. The above list show that the work was mutli-faceted. Their professionalism is TOP NOTCH; their personal attention is REFRESHING; their work is THE BEST. No one else touches this house. Add this: When my bug man came, they did not know he was coming and they did not let him into to the yard without making sure that the bug man had identification and my name. They repeatedly ensured my house was secure and only authorized people were given information about me and where I was, since I travel also.

Working with Dan & his team was awesome! Of course, when it rains, it pours...figuratively speaking. Despite having a super full week, Dan fit in all my projects. Things took a little longer than either of us expected but he was always available to chat if I had questions and was super easy to work with and explained everything very well. We encountered a few road blocks along the way thanks to the previous owner of my condo, but the finished product on all three jobs looks amazing! I will certainly hire Dan again in the future! Its nice to know that there are nice guys out there that do great work! Thanks Dan!

No job is too small for Dan, he and his crew are great handymen. Because our jobs are small, Dan fits us into his schedule when he has time; this usually works best for all of us because we know exactly when he is coming. His crew is resourceful, thorough, informative, and willing to do whatever it takes to make sure the job is well done. We will call him almost any time we have a problem to fix. I feel that we have finally encountered a professional, reliable contractor; it makes everything so much easier!

Very well, he spent extra time sanding and staining the railing. Pricing was very competitve, and fair, only complaint was that he was a few days late due to overbooking himself with other projects. We would have him work for us again.

HandyDan didn't come back to fix one of the windows right away. They kept me waiting two weeks and I was very unhappy about this. I was upset because they didn't tell me in the beginning that they had another job going on. I wouldn't have used them if they had been upfront with me about their immediate work schedule.

Had to call and complain about the work. Paid 1/2 up front. Paid the balance on the day I thought the work would be completed but the work was not completed and he did not respond to e-mail or phone calls. I had to finish the job myself. NOT HAPPY
