Dan Nelson of L&S Garage Door Services arrived promptly and evaluated the problem with the door.  He observed that the other company had used the wrong springs which were not strong enough for the size of my door.  This in turn was causing the other issues and scraping noises.  He suggested that I contact the other company and request them to return and install the correct springs for my door and Dan provided me the detailed information as to the appropriate size springs that my door required.

Since I already had bad feelings about the other company and did not want to have any further dealings with them, I asked Dan if L&S could replace the mis-sized springs with the proper springs along with fixing the other issues caused by the wrong sized springs.  Dan indicated that he had all the needed hardware and could replace the springs.  Dan and Blaine felt so bad about how I had been taken advantage of by the other company that they agreed to do the work for a very nominal price.

So, now I have a smooth working, quiet, well balanced garage door with the proper springs!  Dan really went the extra mile and also replaced missing screws, noisy rollers and lubricated all the hinges/rollers!  Dan really takes his profession seriously and wants to make sure that the door is perfect before he is finished.

Lesson learned I should have called L&S in the first place.

I unconditionally recommend L&S and I now understand why they always score so highly on Angie's List.

Great service!  Don and Cory were friendly, honest and seasoned pros.  I thought I might have to replace the garage door and motor.  They repaired the door in a timely matter and said the garage was good to go for a long time.  It's very refreshing to meet an honest repairmen.  Made my whole day! 

I was at first attracted by the "big deal" offer, but then when I saw the gold shield and gold star rating and read some of the reviews, I called with full confidence. Our main spring on our roll-up door had broken at 5 am. L & S came out the same afternoon. They did the spring and some much needed work on the hinges and door bracing. Quality roducts, quality people, quality work. They have my highest rating and I will call L & S for any future service needs.

We bought the special deal from Angie's List from L & S Garage Doors. Everything about the experience was wonderful. I called them directly and they were able to come out the same day and replace our broken spring. The technician, Ken, was wonderful. Very professional and good at his job. He thought the first springs he installed were not the best fit for our garage door so he took those off and installed another set. Now it opens and closes so smoothly. We are very happy with the job done by L & S Garage Doors. Thank You!

I needed a new garage door opener; Blaine suggested over the phone it would be cheaper for me if he mailed one to me and I programmed.  Great!  But I also wanted to check out my garage door as it's over 40 years old. 

He programmed the new opener; but in a new cable to open the door when electricity is out.  He checked out the door and said was in good shape.

He did not try to sell me something I did not need.  Completed the job quickly, provided information about my door.  Very knowledgeable, friendly and would call again.

I had a broken spring on my garage door so called L&S to see if they could send someone. They sent someone out that day. The technician, Dan, arrived on time and was friendly. He was able to fix the garage door springs efficiently in no time. After he was done, he lubricated all the hinges and springs with silicone to maximize performance and life. He also adjusted the tracks for smoother operation as well as tightened my garage door sensors which were a bit loose. The garage door is working great!

The spring of our garage door was broken. I called L&S and they were able to send out someone that afternoon (on a Sunday). The person who came was very friendly, professional, and answered all our questions. He knew what he was doing and quickly fixed the springs.

Company was very prompt in taking care of my garage door repair. Chris arrived right on time and gave me a courtesy call to let me know he was on his way to my home. He was VERY polite, personable, and professional. He got right to work and didn't mind explaining his task to me as I was watching and asking questions. I was very satisfied with the quality of this company and I will definitely use them again if I need any more garage door service.

It went great.. My husband an I were actually babysitting for our grandsons when the spring on the garage door broke.. Our daughter and her husband were out of the country and not expected back for 2 weeks.. we live in Michigan so we had no idea who to call in California.. I have been an Angie's List member for about a year and had not used the services on the site until this unfortunate mishap... What a relief when I remembered about Angie's List!!!  L & S Garage Door Services were very accommodating on the date they could come out and fix it for us... arrived at the time we were told and completed the job quickly and efficiently.. and no problems with the spring since we had it fixed.. would definitely use them again!!

I was having trouble getting my garage door to close (turns out it was a sensor), so I called L & S Garage Door Services - who had helped me with my garage door a month prior.  Again - answered immediately and even walked me through a few things in case it was something I could adjust myself.  However, that did not work and an appointment was made for service.  Ken came out on a Saturday to troubleshoot my problem.  Turns out it was a bad sensor that needed replacing.  After some discussion and assessing my current garage door opener, I chose to replace the entire garge door opener and sensors.  Ken was able to come out the following Saturday and did the job in under 2 hours at a price that was more than reasonable.  I truly value L & S Garage Door Services - they are the best contrators out there!  Answer the phone, show up on time, professional, personable, clean (and they did not leave a mess - not ONE thing!), prompt, responsive.  I love my new wi-fi garage door opener!  So cool and so quiet!  I would recommend L & S Garage Door Services to anyone - I am keeping them in my favorites!

I had been trying to get a deal on Groupon to service my garage door and the two I tried were nightmares.  So, of course, off to Angies List I went and found L&S Garage Door Services.  I called them on a Tuesday and Ken came out that same day to adjust my garage door and replace the spring.  Other than the great and professional service, they actually answered the phone the first time I called, offered a good price for the service requested and came out the same day - on time!  Definitely going in my favorites.  Highly recommend L&S Garage Door Services.
