The L&S service rep arrived on time and ready to work. Our garage door is large and unwieldy, and it was important that the right springs be installed. Everything seemed to go well until the next morning when we discovered that the door frame was riddled with wood rot and would not properly anchor the new springs. We called L&S and they returned right away to a**** the problem. They made a very agreeable deal to replace the door frame and re-install the new springs. All work was done thoroughly and well.

Blaine was very courteous, knowledgeable and professional.  We have been having intermittent problems with the door closing, and yesterday it stopped opening and closing completely.  Blaine quickly got it running again and discussed possible causes of the problem.  He made several adjustments and lubricated the track and it is running much quieter and smoother than before.  He also discussed potential problems with the motor...it most likely will go out again as it is old, and the alternatives for replacing it.  We also discussed the springs and other door parts that will eventually need replacing as well.  We will definitely hire him again for future repairs for the door.

After a power outage, I tried to open my electric garage door manually in order to leave for work.  I was unable to lift the garage door, but the power came back on.  You should be able to reconnect the door the the motor by running the garage door opener.  My attempts to reconnect the garage door were unsuccessful and after multiple attempts, the motor started smoking.
I called L&S Garage Door Services at about 8:30 am and spoke to Blayne.  I explained the problem and answered a few questions. Since I didn't need immediate help, Blayne stated he'd arrive between 11:00 am and noon.  He arrived at 11:15 am.
After we manually opened the door, I was able to move my car out in order for the motor to be repaired.  Blayne replaced the capacitor and reconnected the garage door.  He explained that with a door the age of mine, the automatic reconnect process may not work and I was able to how he manually reconnected it. Once to door was working, he lubricated the hinges and adjusted the spring to reduce the strain on the motor and to make it easier to manually lift should the need arise in the future.
The total price of $110 was reasonable and I was able to use a coupon from the L&S Garage Door Services' web site to save $25 making my cost only $85.
He was professional, friendly and answered some questions about changes I'm contemplating making to the garage door itself in the future.  I gladly recommend L&S Garage Door Services.

I called on Tuesday and he came on Wednesday morning as agreed.  Very competent.  Did not try to up sell me but I had him install new rollers as well as the springs.  I would not hesitate to use this company again.

 The next day Blayne Leitner of L & S Garage Doors phoned me (instead of me having to call him) to schedule an appointment.  Mr. Leitner showed up on time and did a great job.  He didn't just take off the old springs (which were way past the recommended 5 years) and replace them.  He spent time with my old garage door, removing and adjusting the springs several times, until he was satisfied the door was working properly.  He also tested and adjusted the garage door opener and when he was finished, the door (instead of clunking down like it has for years) closes down gently.  I definitely recommend Mr. Leitner and his company.

I called Saturday morning, described my problem, Blayne described a solution, gave me a quote, and we made an appointment for later in the day. Blayne came on time, re-iterated what he thought/knew to be the problem, fixed the door and was done in 30 minutes or so... I had called a couple of competitors earlier who also verified my problem and their cost.  Blayne's cost was in the ball park but I felt since his shop location was closer, that it would be more beneficial to all - driving time and fuel these days... I felt he was honest (if he wasn't, he'll have to deal w/ that on his own) to give me a heads up on what to expect in the near future on springs and gave his advice on garage door openers in general... overall, a good, painless, experience. Also, I didn't know if cranking the springs would make them pop sooner but hopefully, it will preserve the garage door motor (although, i'm thinking springs cost more than new motors (at home depot/lowes)... ) as Blayne explained new springs may be in the near future and to keep an eye out on angie coupons for the springs... springs are separate from garage door openers.

Wonderful experience! After phoning two other places who told me that they did not make replacement parts for my opener anymore and I would need a new one, I called L&S. Over the phone Blayne thought he could fix the opener. His estimate, if he had to replace it was also lower than the other two. He came out the same day, found that I had a broken spring, which I had not noticed, but was plain to see. He replace the springs and the broken opener part by later that afternoon. I would recommend L&S highly.
