Prompt service and good work. The drilled holes in the stucco and the patch work was excellent, can't easily see the patch, if at all in some cases. The only negative is that since they finished after dark, the cleanup wasn't as good as I would have liked.

We did attic and wall insulation with these guys. Estimate was very reasonable. They came on-time and did a good job for the walls. But they were very late in finishing the job for attic(completed by 9:30pm). Not really sure how well they have done on the attic (due to the attic, i have reduced half a star).

I hired Bay Valley to clean out one attic and blow in insulation to the two attics in my home. Joel came out and did a thorough inspection, explaining everything as he went along. the quote was reasonable and fair. Unfortunately, on the scheduled day the team was overbooked and although I had taken the day off, by the afternoon it was clear they would not have time to do my job. Knowing I was disappointed , they agreed to come the next day, which was Saturday even though they don't work Saturdays. Tony and Henry arrived in the afternoon and worked literally non-stop for hours until they got the job done. They were as clean as such a job allows for and when they left the debris was gone. I would recommend Bay Valley Insulation to anyone but I would also be sure everyone was in sync on the schedule.

Inspect inside and outside of your walls/around windows/under sinks for any cracks and holes. Patch any cracks/holes, so loose insulation won’t blow into your house

I called bay valley insulation based on review in home advisor. Team came down by 3 PM and finish their work by 7 PM. Some of the walls already had insulation which they realize after starting the work. They were fair enough to reduce pricing for that work. Very good customer support.

Bay Valley called me shortly after I submitted a request. Joel, the estimator, was very knowledgeable, showing me how the house is built via the garage, noting that insulation did not need to be placed above the windows because the wood support beam filled the area (which another contractor seemed not to know), and mentioning how they would patch the vapor barrier (whereas another contractor said they couldn't repair). The price was very reasonable and he also mentioned ways that I could save money. The installers were very professional and the cleanup was fantastic. Because the house is vacant, I had them blow insulation from the inside and the house hasn't been so clean in a long time. Also they swept outside, cleaning the mess the window contractors had also left. I recommend Bay Valley. They did a fantistic job.

We contacted Bay Valley to do some work for us. From the first phone call it seemed like things would go well. The estimator was very kind and thorough and when I called to schedule the work they were able to do it the next business day, which was awesome. Then things broke down. The installers were to be at our house between 11-1pm. No one showed up so I called the owners phone, no response. Called the main business line, no response. At 2:05p the main line called and it was a man named Henry who wanted to tell me they were running late (obviously they were but you don't call an hour after your latest time to tell me that). Then the owner called who was in Southern California and he said they'd be able to still make it but this was 2:30p and it was supposed to be a 7 hour job. I don't want contractors at my house after 5pm because I have 3 kids one of which is a 5 month old and we have dinner and have to bathe them and so on. Fast forward to 4:45p and still no installers. I called the owners phone again, no answer no call back. I left him a message saying to just cancel the job and I'd contact them later if I wanted to proceed. I am in San Jose and the company is based in Fremont so this next part will make more sense to you. I am finishing up dinner around 6:40p when we get a knock at the door. I open the door and guess who it is, the installer (who was a super nice guy by the way). They had been in traffic (again obviously traffic is crazy heading to SJ at 5pm). I told him I called his boss to tell them to call off the job, no one bothered to tell him. I could tell he was frustrated and I felt bad for him coming all that way in traffic, it's brutal. They were set to do both exterior walls and the attic. I asked how long the attic would take and he said I can be gone in an hour and a half. I just said go for it and he got to work. They did a good job with the attic and they were gone by 8:15p. Again not ideal but glad that part was over. They were set to come back the next day but we had no idea what time they'd be back because there was no communication from the office. I think they finally showed up the next day in the mid afternoon and did the outside work. They didn't finish up until 7p and they hadn't eaten so we offered them some drink and food. The final bill came and we took some money off for the inconvenience and poor communication. Overall the work was good and the estimator and installers were solid however the communication was terrible at best. I am in the outside sales world as a sales manager and I can tell you if my salespeople communicated with our customers in the manner that Bay Valley did we'd lose all of our business. Just call your customers back, over-communicate, and get in front of a problem before it gets worse. That didn't happen here. I wouldn't recommend them sadly because of the lack of communication which reflects a lack of care, compassion and concern for your customers.

They did a great job

Insulation work was done meticulously, but the paint job was not done professionally. If I did not have left over paints, the job wouldn't be as neat as it can be. The paint now shows some new and old mismatch ;(. Also it took more than 3 days which is longer than I was promised for one or other reasons.

Fast and thorough workmanship. Courteous workers who didn't quibble over minor changes. They spotted some other small areas with low amounts of insulation and filled those for no charge.
