I was diagnosed with kidney cancer, requiring immediate surgery. I gave this customer a full refund, minus the refrigerator filter that I installed, which was needed. We try to provide the best service possible to all of our customers, but when life throws us a curveball like cancer, that is a difficult goal to accomplish. I am sorry that my situation upset this customer, but am pleased to say that, thank the Lord, I am now cancer free.

Description of Work: Looked at refrigerator and serviced replacing a part. However, a week later the refrigerator needed additional work and another fee. Nice technician, but a little on the high side for appliance repair and wondering why he would not have suggested replacing the other part when he was there to begin with. Maybe part went out coincidently right after??? Not sure.

This review is for a different company, not G & H Appliance in Fountain Valley. Please check your receipt to verify which company you had out, but it was not us. In all fairness to whomever you did have out, sometimes a second part will go out coincidentally after replacing a first part. It does happen, even though it seems odd. Never happened.
Description of Work: Called them to schedule an appointment for my boss, who lives out of country. We handle all of the expenses and payments; however, they wouldn't come out without the owner being present. Never had this problem before with other companies. Plus there is a $65 inspection fee to even come out to the house to look at their dishwasher.

We did speak with a gentleman from this company. We usually get an OK from a property owner before we go out to their property. The gentleman explained that the owner is out of the country & that he handles all the bills for the owner. I explained that that was fine, but we could not do any billing. Our policy is that payment is due at the time of service. The gentlemen said that he would talk to the ower & get back to me. I never heard anymore from this company in regard to scheduling an appointment. We would have been happy to handle any of his company's appliance repair heeds & hope that we can be of service to them in the future.

Description of Work: It's not that they were bad, it's just that they charged a minimum $80 trip charge. We are in the same city as they are. They were there 2 minutes. Found out it was a cracked knob, which they ordered and had it sent to us to replace ourselves since they would have charged us an additional fee to replace. I would have felt better if they would have given us a break on that trip charge, as I feel it was not warranted in this case.

The actual charges were $65.00 to come out & diagnose the problem with your dryer & $26.90 plus tax for a new knob. The total on the invoice was $94.05. We would love to be able to lower our rates, but with the increasing costs of invoices, parts, gasoline, vehicle maintenance, vehicle insurance & medical insurance, we are not able to do so. We do disclose our rates over the phone to our new customers, when the service call is set up. Description of Work: Technician corrected poor workmanship of 1 1/2 year old Kitchenaid refrigerator's under prior warranty assigned technician. |G & H Appliance installed a correct broken part and plugged in fan that Kitchenaid's prior technician had neglected in his work under warranty. |G & H technician was competent and professional, and at less cost than Kitchenaid had offered to come out for their 2nd repair attempt.

Description of Work: Woody quickly determined that the drier was not working because the timer needed to be replaced. He obtained a replacement and came back quickly to install the part, and now it works like it's new, even though it's been crankin'almost every day for 10 years.
