Mike is a true professional in an industry with many unprofessional and unskilled players. Not only does he do what he says he's going to do when he says he is going to do it, he then does it skillfully. Beyond that, he took and active interest in educating me about how and why he was doing what he was doing. The hallmark of a business/owner that cares about its customers. Even after the project was completed I was contacted to let me know that he wanted to stop by and try something that might further optimize my settings and energy efficiency. As a 20 year business owner in the home improvement space, I encounter service businesses and contractors all the time. Very few are on par with Mike the Poolman.

"Dear Mr. K, thank you for the opportunity to do business but: a) if we didn't return your phone call it was because an incorrect number was left or we couldn't understand it on the recording. I am METICULOUS about returning phone calls and email inquires, even when we cant help them. b) we only install what we sell (too many warranty issues in the past when a customer supplies the product and there is a problem. Its never the product, its always the installer who gets the blame so we made the decision to only install what we provide) I'm sorry we missed each other and I hope you were able to resolve your issue. I e-mailed late in the evening and within minutes Mike responded to our request for service.  He answered each e-mail within  minutes.  We gave our location  and he replied that  we  are  not in his area for service.  He provided us with an alternate pool company that could perform the pool cleaning in our area.  
I can just imagine that if we  were in his area  that we would be very pleased with the service .  If you are lucky enough to be in his area give him a try.
