Contact was easy. I submitted an email form from their website and was contacted within 2 hours.  The estimator happened to be in my area so he came over that day to inspect the job and gave me an initial estimate of $550.00.  He later sent a contract by email with the stated estimate.  Work was to start within two weeks.  The following week I got a call that they could do it on Saturday.  They did the job as requested.  Overall I am satisfied.  I gave a B for price because it seemed high although my other estimate from a different company  was for $1500 which included removing roofing, replacing the rafters and re-roofing.

I sent an e-mail to the company for a free qoute for my roof work after finding them on Angie's List . 
The owner arrived at the agreed time to view and estimate necessary work and gave a quotation on the spot and a work date which I agreed as acceptable.
A contract stating the work to be done and the price arrived quickly by e-mail in full accord with our discussion. 
Workmen arrived at the agreed time and efficiently carried all the required work to my entire satisfaction including a complete clean up.
I mailed a check for the contract amount to Sequoia Roofing and received an e-mail saying I had not deducted the applicable discount for saying that I had aprroached them after viewing their record on Angie's List, as had been mentioned on the initial meeting , and would send me a check for the discount amount.
All round Sequioa Roofing were very professional, courteous and efficient in carrying out the work and in the light of this experience  I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone.

Everything was done in a day and it was an overall positive experience.  My Angie's list 5% coupon was honored.

rI  e mailed Mike of Sequoia roofing after searching Angie's List and reading reviews of roofers. I was impressed by the  amount of positive reviews Mike has received. I made an appointment for an estimate, received it, thought about it for awhile, and choose him. He was very professional and polite. He gave several options to fix my leak problem with pros and cons of each choice. The work was done in a day and a half and I have no regrets. He was efficient and complete.

From estimate to completion, Sequoia Roofing provided outstanding service.  The estimator (Mike, the owner) arrived on time, answered all our questions, and e-mailed a detailed estimate that night.  The job was scheduled at our convenience, and the workers arrived exactly as scheduled.  All the workers were polite, professionally dressed, and communicated well.  Juan (the job foreman) was especially helpful in answering our questions.  Mike arrived twice each day to check on the work and answer any qustions about how the job was going.  When we did have a slight problem (a lens in a Solatube was inadvertantly broken), Juan resolved the issue without needing to phone Mike.  The new lens arrived and was installed the day the job was finished.  The crew did an excellent job cleaning up.  Roofing is inherently messy, and the Sequoia crew cleaned up better than we expected.
We would recommend them without reservation to anyone.

I had been trying to keep my roof from leaking for 10 years. Every winter when it rained I would get new leaks. I was in my sixty's and every year it was getting harder to stay ahead of the problem. I would fix one leak and the next storm I had another one.
I finally decided to bite the bullet and spend the money to get the roof redone. I started looking for a roofer that would do a good job for me. I got a couple of quotes but I didn't feel comfortable with them. So I finally went on Angies list and found Sequoia Roofing. They gave me a better quote. I did some searching about there work and eveybody seemed happy with them so I gave them the job.  They scheualed the job and started on time. they did the job in 5 work days. Since then we have had several serious Winter rain storms and the Roof had no leaks. I am very happy with the job they did. They did a very professional job at a very
good price on time.

Estimate was competitive, especially after 10% discount given to Angie's list customers.  Estimate was done quickly and professionally by Mike, the owner.  If we were to do it again, we would do it with Mike supervising instead of choosing a day when he was busy.  The work seems of quality (though I am not a roofer and I guess time will tell) but his guys don't understand how to work with customers (e.g. when the job is done, you should tell the owners you're wrapping up instead of just packing up and leaving without saying a thing).  We did end up having a question and Mike had to come back out to address it - which he did gladly and promptly.  The workers did do a decent job cleaning up the site (though I still had to sweep out the driveway a bit) and were nice enough to fix a pipe flashing that was over the main part of the house, not part of the job.  Overall happy with the job.

The entire team from sales -to- installation were professional, clean, courteous and happy!  They cleaned up each day, swept the driveway for nails and debris; and left the work-site very clean for the next work-day.  We were impressed with the short length of time it took to install the new roof (2.5 days), yet the work was quality in every way.  We went on the roof to inspect - they did an excellent job :)

The service was performed exactly like it was promised.  This includes start date, length of project and quaility of work.

I contacted Sequoia Roofing on a weekend by email after finding a leak in the roof of our recently purchased older home. Mike Rochloz answered my email on the same weekend and we set up a time for him to come and evaluate our problem and give us an estimate. Mike showed up on time and after walking our roof gave us an over view of the roof condition. He first addresses our main concern, the roof leak. We needed to tear back the concrete shingles all the way to and around the chimney, lay down two layers of underlayment and replace the valley flashing. Mike then explained that we had some 30 broken concrete tiles that should be replaced. These tiles were an old style that are hard to come by but fortunately one source was still producing them individually. Mike also pointed out the the old concrete flashings on our existing roof penetrations were cracked and he showed us each place under the overhang where water was leaking thru the concrete flashings and staining the facia.
Mike submitted an estimate for the leak repair/chimney re-flashing ($1550.00) and a separate estimate for replacing all the existing concrete flashings and broken roof tiles ($500.00). We decided to have everything done that he suggested. Mike said it would be a couple of weeks before he had a person available from one of his crews to work on this and we felt this was more than reasonable. Within the week he emailed to say that one job he had on schedule was delayed and he could get to our job the beginning of the next week. Ray showed up to do the work as promised and was very professional and personal. He went over the job with me and proceeded to tackle the job with noticeable skill. I found 4 peak tiles left over from the original construction and Ray used these to replace some cracked tiles which was extra work not addressed in the beginning. After a very long day on the roof Ray completed the job as described in the combined estimate and told us that there were other tiles that were cracked and could be replaced. The removal of the old concrete flashings revealed broken tiles underneath and he and to use some of the tiles he  came with for these. He counted a total of 30 more tiles he felt still needed to be replaced. 
I was concerned that so much apparent extra work was needed and called Mike to discuss this. I told Mike I was surprised that so many more tiles were needed. I was worried whether we could afford the extra cost but I felt that we should have these replaced so the roof was in the best shape for the rainy season.  To my surprise Mike, with out hesitation, said that they would replace the extra tiles at no cost to us because he had given us an estimate and he felt it was a matter of  honoring his original estimate. Needless to say I was floored and appreciative at the same time. I offered to give him and extra $100.00 as a token of our appreciation knowing that this would not cover the cost to him to make another trip out to our home and preform another day's work, materials included.
Juan showed up the next day and finished the job including a complete clean up of the site. Juan was as professional and competent as Ray. I was completely satisfied with every person I had contact with throughout this experience. I should add that this was a very small job compared to the work Mike displays on his home web site but he handled this small job as though it was a big ticket project.
I have a great regard for customer service. Customer service trumps a lower bid every time for me. No job is just the product. The people behind the product add a significant value to the over all job. Sequoia Roofing excels in both quality work and superior customer service. Do I have to recommend them? This review should speak for itself. Thanks Mike, Ray and Juan for a job well done.

It was not a large re-roof but a smaller portion of my roof that had a mystery leak. Went perfect.

The good news: you don't have to be home for either the estimate or the actual work. No contract; just an email bill once they are done.  Rudy gave me an estimate of $850 and explained what needed to be done. He expected to be able to complete the work in two weeks or so.
Heaven?  Nope. I happened to be home with visitors when two workers came ... no call ahead or appt made.  After ascertaining what was needed, the gentlemen left to get the tiles, which they couldn't promise would be reddish brown ... did I want grey or green. When they returned, they used my ladder, replaced two edging tiles and put the third back on. They were at my house fewer than 15 minutes; I heard fewer than 10 bangs. Presto, they were gone.
Within the next week, I received an email bill for $850. Had I not been home, I would have paid, thinking everything mentioned in the verbal estimate had been taken care of.
I emailed Rudy, explaining that I had been home and that the workers had been to my house for only a short time and could not have completed all the tasks required. He told me he would transfer the matter to his brother who takes care of the finances. Then, after checking with the installers, Rudy called several times apologizing and said he would just charge me the standard call fee of $350.
So, upshot, I still don't know if more is wrong with my roof. And now I'm suspicious of all roofers.

This process is never easy but it went well. Foreman and workers were skilled and reliable and worked SO hard, even in intense heat. Cleanup was done daily and done well. Owner-manager Mike Rocholtz is one of the most straight-forward professionals with whom I have ever worked. Very informative and patient, willing to answer my many questions. Mike basically teaches you about roofing, and having worked in various aspects of the business over time, he really knows his stuff. I highly recommend Sequoia Roofing; a knowledgable owner-manager; a dependable, responsible crew and good products from which to choose--you can't go wrong. Final comment: buy the Low-E thermal sheeting product. It makes a huge difference in the temperature of your home and is worth every penny!

At our first meeting, Mark explained all aspects of the job, which was a service of a Spanish tile roof and removal and replacement of two flat roofs. His crew arrived on time on the date agreed upon. They spent several days on the job and Mark made a few suggestions of what needed to be done to make the roof sound. His advice was good and I took it. The job went without problems and I'm very satisfied with the result (although it hasn't rained yet). I'm confident it won't leak and I would suggest this company to anyone. It was a pleasant experience from start to finish and Mark was professional all the way.

Called Mike Rochholz and he came out promptly.  Assessed what needed to be done and provided detailed price list of actions needed to address my concerns.  He explained clearly what my options were and why he did not believe a full roof replacement was warranted. The work was done on time with a very professional work crew. Work area cleaned up every day. Mike and his staff stayed in touch with me through the whole process.  Very pleased.

I worked directly with Mike the owner. He was punctual and pleasant to work with. I selected Sequoia based on my gut telling when I met the group for the estimate. Not the cheapest but not the highest.

Mike (the owner) came at the agreed upon time and looked over the roof and gave us a great estimate.  He set up a time that they would be able to start that also worked for us.  They removed the existing roof and turbines.  They check for any rotting boards and replaced everything that needed to be replaced.  The crew put the various layers for weather protection that the GAF roofing suggests. They then place the shingles and additional vents and painted all of the pipes on the roof to match the shingles.  They also replaced our old turbines with new solar vents that we had purchased much earlier.  The crew cleaned up every crumb left from their work. There was nothing damaged.  If anything was moved during the job it was put back in place.  The crew was very respectful, happy to answer those "what's that" questions and never used inappropriate language.  I would recommend Sequoia Roofing to anyone thinking about a new roof.

Found Sequoia Roofing on Angie's List and sent them out to my Mom's place.  She had multiple spots in the house I noticed the last time I was out where things were leaking inside.  Just talked to her and she is extremely happy with the price and how it all went.  The previous contractor she had out was not as professional and left a bunch of nails everywhere.  The crew took care of those and any they may have dropped with a large magnet around the job site.  Excellent clean up work all around. 

Contacted them. They responded promptly. Came out as scheduled. Gave us a quote. Seemed fair. Didn't by the property they inspected.

In short Mike (owner) and his crew were:  (1) very responsive and on time, (2) no delays, (3) best quote of four, and (4) very easy to work with.  Particularly, the last point (#4) I always find important incase anything goes wrong, which it did not.  I would recommend Sequoia Roofing without hesitation to anyone!!!
