At first, appeared to be very professional and knowledgeable, excellent follow through and attentive to needs. The biggest problem was the unwillingness to provide receipts or even invoices for work done, but wanted payment immediately upon completion of each session of the project. Despite numerous requests, we were not provided any paper work what-so-ever and many times agreements were drawn up on a tablet with no copies provided. This is making final settlement from the insurance company difficult and tedious. We were supposed to receive a depreciation recovery upon project completion but the necessary invoices or billing statement were never provided despite assurances they would be forthcoming. It has been nearly 2 months now. I personally liked the contractor Payman Habbibi, but am disappointed at the way business was conducted. I was honest in my dealings with him, but would have expected the same from him.

The work is nearly finished. So far I'd rate my experience as excellent. Mr. Payman Habibi of Imperial General Contractors is a true professional. Like the family doctor, very intelligent and compassionate. Something you'll need when you're in a state of near shock after having a water leak in your house ... with the fear mongers out there (e.g., who claim you'll need expensive and time consuming tests for mold, asbestos lead paint), tricky insurance companies, unresponsive plumbers (who say they can schedule a visit to fix your leak sometime next week), it's a jungle out there. In contrast, Payman Habibi was quick to address my effort, explain what was needed to be done, provided honest insights on how to deal with my insurance company (e.g., that I should contact the central office vice accept the denial of my claim by the local sales agent ... several thousand dollars are involved). I would use him again ... my first choice, he has earned my trust.

Pleasant, showed up on time. But quality of work was not what I had hoped for. Retexturing on a curved wall was not as smooth and even as it should have been.

Great price. Average quality install- dark boards not staggered properly, lots of glue clean-up. Poor attention to detail & clean-up. Debris thrown on my plants & not hauled away till I asked -then they used my trash cans. They also used my own mineral spirits,. Terrible first impression when the worker had a fit & loudly cussed the first day when he saw we had cats which he was allergic to. We found cracked door mouldings glued back together without telling us. Paymon means well but does not follow through. I have asked 4 times for a receipt and have not received one. I'll probably have to report IGC to the BBB if I don't get an invoice soon. It's been 6 weeks. I spent over $20,000. A positive: the guy who did the carpet on my stairs was excellent.

Friendly, nice and fast service

Payman, owner, contacted me within 10 minutes after I went on home advisor. He came for an exterior home repair. He is very knowledgeable/experienced and I was impressed. He explained what was wrong with my front door and what it needed to work properly. I then had him install patio vertical blinds and he took precise measurements and the blinds look great. He is a very professional, thorough, and nice person. I will definitely hire him again and will recommend him to others. His price was very reasonable. You won't get shoddy work or ripped off by Payman. VERY honest person. Thank you Payman! 😄

Quality work at fair price

Payman is extremely honest, conscientious, and hard working. He met all of his promises that me he made to us. If were any issues, he was very good about keeping me abreast of any problems and he made all efforts to solve them. He was someone who always treated us with respect even if we voiced a different opinion. He did outstanding work and we are very happy.

I had extensive water damage due to a dishwasher leak and contacted Servicemagic. Payman Habibi called me minutes later and was at my house within the hour. He began the drying / dehumidification process immediately in order to avoid mold, and after it was dry he repaired and painted the damaged drywall before removing and replacing my hardwood floors. He and his team are all hardworking, courteous, skilled professionals and I am very pleased with the result, had no problem communicating with them and would definitely hire again.
