Action Builders Inc

The General Contractor breached almost every provision in his contract.   In a nutshell, blowing smoke and doing nothing.  His manly man supervisor broke down crying when I had a "come to Jesus" meeting.   The sup couldn't get the general to return his phone calls for long period of time. Action admitted "arrogance" in taking 5 months off during the job.  There were also major issues on the job with subcontractors, the majority of which told me that they will never work with Action again (no support, information, timely payments)  and I had to agree to work with them directly and pay them directly in order to keep the job going (plumbing, concrete, HVAC, steel...) Action Builder's webpage indicates client satisfaction but my sense is that this was all the 90's.    If you are considering Action, you should talk with clients that he worked with in 2009 onward in Santa Monica Sunset Park and in Rustic Canyon.   Action had an 18 month completion date and 18 months later I am now just starting the electrical with a new general contractor.   This was a cost plus solid deal and Action walked away with over $86K profit for showing up once a week with no notepad and a few words to make you believe something was happening. There are so many excellent and honest contractors out there.  I hope I have one now and I had one in Palm Springs.   Oh....and he is a guy that acts like he didn't do anything wrong.
