Emmaus Locksmith Guys

The man asked for my id before  he opened which he said he was required to do by law, and I told him it is inside the house and I will show it to him when inside, which I did and he took my name and number from my drivers license and wrote these on the invoice, which did not have a logo or any identifying mark.  He asked me for $25 for coming out and $180 for opening the door.  I told him that the price was too high he said that is the going rate. (I had not done the research myself as I was not using my computer so I had not looked at other locksmiths prices online nor Angie's List )  so I took his word for it.  I only had $105 in cash in the house, which I gave to him and the rest he said I would take check or  credit card.  I said I will use a check and asked for the Company name and he said the company only accepts cash and that I should address the check to him.  I asked him for his full name, which he said was Eran Yakar, and wrote the check of $100 out to him and asked for his id which he said it was in his car.  I asked for the company name for the memo part of the check  and he said it was 24/7 Locksmiths.  At the time I did not know that the company went by Emmaus Locksmith Guys as I had not asked my neighbor when he called them, I just wanted to get into my house.   Yakar then gave me the invoice and I asked him for his boss's name and he said his name was  Kevin and his phone number was 610-354-2565.   Yakar and I went to his van for his id which looked legitimate and he left.  I came in and called his supervisor several times and there was no answer, what bothered me was that this number was different from the 610-813-8106 number my neighbor had originally called.   I called the original number and identified myself as the locked-out customer whose door they just sent a person to open. When I asked the woman on the phone for the name of the person who was at my house, she said it was Josh and when I said the one who came was not Josh she hung up on me.  When I called again and identified myself and asked for Kevin she hung up on me again.  I then called my Bank and stopped the check with the hope that they will write to me and ask for the rest of the money.  The following day I told my neighbor what had transpired and he went to his house  and brought the print-out of the yahoo.com page where he found the number of the locksmith and he called the Emmaus Locksmith Guys number twice and asked for the boss or owner of the company the woman on the phone said the owner was not there yet and when asked when he would be in  she hung up on him.  The second time my neighbor  he called and asked why she hung up on  she said she never spoke to him.  But it was the same voice as I was listening on the speaker phone, and it is the same voice of the woman who hung up on me on Tuesday.  As of now I have not heard from  Yakar about the stopped check nor he incomplete payment from Emmaus Locksmith Guys.  Can Angie's List please start a column where average cost for services are listed and what one can do when overcharged.  I am very uneasy worry about id theft if they are not legitimate..
