Jason Berstein responded immediately when I called him for an estimate.  He gave me a fair bid and completed the work in a little over three weeks, which was great.  His work crew showed up everyday on time, kept the work area very clean with a minimal amount of dust.  He hauled the old material off in two days, keeping my property very clean.  Jason showed up everyday to monitor the work and communicated any extras with me immediately.  During the remodel he gave my wife and I many ideas on improving our bathroom which were greatly appreciated.  Jason does quality work, completes the work on schedule and communicates very well.  I would recommend JLB Construction to anyone thinking about doing a bathroom or any other remodel job.  We could not be more happy with the results.  --  Louis J. Jason was at my home daily for nearly 3 weeks. This is a custom house, and I am a very particular client. I needed the new work to blend seamlessly with existing details. Jason and his crew were able to achieve a good result under a tight deadline. I added extra work to the job as we went along, and they were able to accommodate all of my requests. I kept track of all of the extras and there was no problem when it came time to settle the bill as Jason is fair and straightforward.

     Jason responded to my inquiries quickly and gave me a good estimate.
     He was very patient when the attic ladder I ordered was delayed.
      His crew did a wonderful job installing the electrical box and switch in the master bedroom.  I thought the slanted ceiling was going to be a problem, but it wasn't.   All holes were patched and the wall and ceiling were touched up.  The ceiling fan and light work beautifully.
      They also framed the hole for the new attic ladder, patched up the older small access hole, installed the ladder and painted the door.  it looks and works great.
      I will definitely use JLB again for future projects.

I started with a small 5x7 bathroom that I hated.  It was old, with yellow and white (mostly broken) tiles and a large window in the shower.  The window had a wooden frame with major rot.  There was nothing good to say about the starting point. 
I found JLB Construction through Angie's List and gave them a call.  Jason set me up with an appointment the next day.  He arrived on time and was reasonable with his pricing.  He knows his trade and gave me confidence in his abilities during our discussion.  
I wanted everything removed: the toilet, the tub, the vanity, the walls and floor.  I wanted the window removed and replaced with a small sliding window, I wanted the shower height raised, the shower and floor tiled, all fixtures installed, and the room painted.  He gave a time frame of 12-15 days for the project and made additional suggestions, such as a bathroom fan.
Overall, I am very happy with the work that was done.  There were some unexpected items along the way, such as significant rot in the wall, which Jason and his team took care of.  The subway tile in the shower and the mosaic tile on the floor came out great.  The new window looks wonderful, and the replacement stucco on the exterior came out nice.  Jason made some additional suggestions along the way that really benefited the room.  The finished product speaks for itself.  The team finished in about 15 days, and when I noted a minor issue after completion, I contacted Jason and he came over to fix it to ensure my satisfaction.  JLB really stands by its work.  I would absolutely hire them again.

I had interviewed many contractors and hired JLB Construction to do my remodel. My remodel consisted of a 300 square foot addition, rooftop deck, patio cover, patio, kitchen, new bathroom and bedroom. I was very pleased with Jason?s work. He went above and beyond in perfection and detail. He stayed on the schedule that he estimated for completion of the remodel, he was within the budget that we
discussed and I was very happy with his sub-contractors. They were hard workers and extremely nice. Jason would offer me recommendations on certain aspects of the remodel, but would always listen to my input. I am enormously happy with my

The only story to tell, is that Mr. Berstein is a professional Contractor (not all Contractor's are) and the most impressive of all, is that he and/or his workers were on time every day, and completed the tasks per our agreed upon schedule.  I have had similar home repairs/upgrades done many times at other properties where I've lived, and his work ethic, performance, cost, etc. was outstanding.  I will contract with him again (once our economy recovers). smiles.  There are several other repairs/upgrades that I look forward to him completing at a later date. Thank God, I joined Angie's List, and I chose him over several others, purely on "gut feel", and it was "all good".

Work went very well.  Jason was on the job every morning to direct the crew.  He worked with me to select paint colors.  Followed up to pick up materials from job.  Double checked roof penetrations to be sure they were properly sealed.

The place that I own was uninhabitable. JLB came in and did an outstanding job in converting it into a high end livable home. He came in and totally remodeled the kitchen with stainless steel and a granite top. They did an outstanding job with communication, timelines, and managing a budget. Now I love my home and it easily added $60,000.00 of value to the home. They care about detail, follow up, and making sure that I as the client was completely happy.

Jason was very professional. The job was completed on time. He was very helpful in making useful suggestions and the quality of the work was excellent. He was eager to follow up with me to be sure that there were no outstanding problems and he willing to accommodate my scheduling limitations with times to meet about the job. and he was easy to contact. I did get several estimates and JBL was quite reasonable and at the low end of the range. This was an excellent experience all the way around and I would definitely hire him again.
