My opinion—for me, it was the WRONG CHOICE. The tech they sent did not have experience. The entire time he was on premise he was consulting by phone to his office. He could not answer even basic questions without first checking with his office. After two minutes with the compressor evidently he was instructed to advise me not to put another dime into my unit and I needed to replace it! This did not sit well with me since their first and only recommendation was i needed a new system. But mine still worked! From that point I lost trust in their advice. They recommended actions that were in their best interest—not mine. So I asked him to stop what he was doing. I was uncertain whether he would sabotage my unit in an attempt to justify the need for a new one. So I paid him for the call anyway. I just wanted him away from my equipment. FOLLOW UP NOTE: I since had Bob Jensen Air Conditioning provide the identical service. My unit is a Lenox (built like a tank”) and everything is operating now perfectly! The service was provided by a very experienced, knowledgeable, and professional tech who knew a lot on his own!! I dislike providing negative reviews. This was the first time I used this company - The Right Choice (based on the Angie’s List recommendation.). It was my mistake.

Terrible. I got the high pressure sales pitch; I literally signed a deal to get him the **** out of my house. He left several used filters with no cleanup.

The original visit was very professional and educational on the work needed to maintain a working system. The installers did a good job but I would recommend that they slow down some and clean up a little better before leaving the job site.

It went well. Serviceman was here on time and checked my furnace.

The first guy did basically nothing but try to sell me more services. After he left, I called the office. After a long discussion, they agreed to send someone else to do the job. The 2nd guy was great! He checked everything and then discussed his findings with us. He knew what he was doing, was very informative, and very professional in every way. I will continue to hire this company if I can work with this technician in the future. My ratings were for the 2nd. technician and the work that he did.

Since it was summer and hot weather, the company called to delay the replacement to the next day. The two techs who came to replace the unit tried hard but were unable to get it working and had to call in a senior service tech to make everything work. The senior tech was finally able to get it running and it has been working well since. I give them credit for working until the problem was fixed. I am not sure if some of the workers are new and need more training, or if this was a difficult installation with more problems than anticipated.

The first visit did not go so well as the technician did not know how to inspect my 1980 a/c unit. However, they sent another technician the following day who took the time to open and inspect the A/C unit. The tech was very helpful and was able to diagnose the a/c had a bad compressor and will need a new unit. My reviews are based on the second visit.

Bought the Furnace Tune Up package through Angie's list. Communication was very good with Right Choice when setting up the appointment. The fellows (Technician David M. and trainee, Leo) arrived within the window of time anticipated. They were both very courteous and professional. David was objective in his assessment of our furnace, saying that though the furnace was older, it was still in very good shape. He extracted and cleaned the filter. At the end of the job, David carefully reviewed his overall evaluation with me. Both technicians were very pleasant and straight forward.

It went very well. John Shultz was my service person and he arrived within the promised time frame. He was extremely pleasant. He checked out my air conditioning unit. All checked out OK and mentioned to me that I may have to change a capacitor next time and the approximate cost, which was most helpful in planning. I would hire them again and the deal I received from Angie's list was great.

Excellent! Super excellent! They were highly professional. When they went to work they didn't stop. One was installing the condenser outside and the other was installing the furnace inside. They got the coils installed, enabled the system to start. Everything was perfect. The did forget to put the filter in the furnace, but they are bringing one over today. Esteban and Hector did the work, John is their boss.

I knew my ac unit was old but I thought they would be able get a tune up. He came out and looked at the ac unit. He checked a few things but then said it was too old to work on. He then tried to sell me a new one. Also, he was supposed to change the air filter but he didn't have one.

Great work by John, very punctual, professional, and friendly service. Will definitely use for future needs.

They were prompt to contact me as soon as I purchased the service and made an appointment on Angie's list. The appointment was confirmed over the phone. I later received a call to change my original appointment because they didn't want to drive all over town to complete their other scheduled appointments so I changed it to accommodate them. The day of the appointment, I get a call from them telling me they thought their tech was already at my house, which he wasn't, and had to reschedule again. The tech finally arrived. Tony was friendly and polite. He looked at my air conditioner unit and right away tells me that it's too old and not up to standards and tells me multiple things need to be changed. He looks at my furnace, opens it up and tells me a list of things that are wrong with it. He then tells me that both my air conditioner and furnace "are too dangerous" and he can't touch them. That's very surprising especially since an SDG&E technician recently inspected my furnace and said my unit was fine. And everything passed inspection when I purchased my house a little over a year ago. Then he takes over 30 minutes to tell me what needs to be done which is over $17,000 for a new air conditioner, furnace and duct work plus permits. I told him I paid for the air conditioner tune up and asked if he was going to still do it. He told me that it's "too dangerous for him to touch it" and that if anything happened that his company would be liable. I asked him, "isn't that why your company is licensed, bonded and insured to cover that?" He didn't answer me. He proceeded to tell me that the most he can do is hose down my air conditioner. I told him I wanted a refund. He called his boss to tell him my situation. He left his estimate with me and told me not to call Angie's List for the refund but to call his company instead. After he left, I promptly called Angie's List, told them what happened and requested a refund. Angie's List was quick to give me my money back. The Right Choice Heating and Air is very disorganized and dishonest.

They had good customer service. They were prompt and on time. They explained what they had done. I was sufficiently impressed with their service I purchased an Air Scrubber to help clean the air.

The General Manager Steve performed the installation. He is very knowledgeable, professional and efficient about the installation process. Great Service, very personable. We highly recommend The Right Choice. We will definitely call them again when we need HVAC services.

It was fine. They did a good job. I'm getting ready to have it redone. They did what they said they were going to do and they were on time. I don't have any complaints. Quality was fine. Responsiveness was fine. They were here when they said they were going to be here. They were quick and did what they needed to do. I didn't have any concerns about what they did or how they did it.

It was excellent. It was expensive but it was through the Hero Programs so it went on a 15 or 20 year program, pro-rated and it comes out of the tax bill. You couldn't do that outright but you can do it a little over time. Because it was with this program, we didn't really do a lot of shopping and there was a lot that they were doing. They were a wonderful group of fellas. Besides accomplishing what needed to be done, they also were responsive to our concerns about insulation falling down with the door opener and that sort of thing. They cleaned up. Nobody was sullen or hard to get along with. They were all just very helpful, wanting to be there right away to tend to anything. Some people are there just to work. It's like these guys really wanted to take care of the problem and they were very cheerful.

They were doing a special and it was $50. There was one worker who came to do the work. It took between thirty and forty minutes to finish the work. They left the area clean. The guy who came here did a good job and cleaned up.

They did a good job but they talked a lot. They were very nosy but they did a good job. They came on time, 11 o'clock around. They are very nosy about how do you install your cleaning, what service do you have, all kinds of things that you don't want outsiders to interfere in. There should be a limit on talking. I didn't shop around much but I really needed the job done. There could be better services at a cheaper price too but I didn't shop around. Quality was good. What did I say, they talk too much? They need to understand that. They were not bad, they were just mighty friendly. There were 2 people and it took 2-3 hours and they left the area reasonably clean. No complaints. They did a good job.

They were pretty good. They were there when they said they would be. They didn't drag it out, they had the right people there at the right time. There were 8 workers at different times here. It took three days to complete the work. They left the area cleaner than when they started. They did everything well.
