"CPL came out to your property on March 18, 2019 to locate a leak on an outside line that runs approximately 100 yards. Out technician used 2 tanks of co2 and spent 3 hours and 14 minutes detecting the leak; however, he only charged you the minimum leak detection charge which is for 2 hours, so you basically received 1.5 hours free. At no time did we just "Guess" where the leak is. Our equipment picks up the strongest sound and that is where we marked the leak. A week later on March 25, 2019 you called us and said the leak wasn't there. My technician "stopped by" to check out the situation. When he arrived to check it out, it was found out that the pipe was sleeved (meaning one pipe inside another pipe) this makes locating much more difficult. The leak was around 2 feet over, which is well within industry standards, especially with the pipe being sleeved. At the time he was out there, water was showing up about 50 yards away and you had another leak. You wanted my technician to locate the pipe and also find the other leak without paying any additional charges. Unfortunately, we can not work for free and we did not locate the 2nd leak at this time. You then called our office asking for a refund. Believe me, if we had done something wrong, we would have definitely given you some type of refund; however, that wasn't the case. When we refused to give you a refund you threatened us that you were going to post a bunch of bad reviews on us. Well, we are not going to be threatened to give you a refund when we did everything correct and to the best of our ability. Leak detection is not an exact science and sometimes additional trips are needed. Again, I am sorry you were unhappy but we did everything possible and to the best of our ability to help find your leak."
