The plumber was prompt, courteous, and competent. He covered everything with plastic and worked inside plastic himself, so there was no mess to clean up. At first, the company was not going to let me use the Angies list coupon for $39, because it was a holiday weekend, but when I protested that no exceptions were mentioned on the coupon, the scheduler talked to the manager, and she allowed the coupon. I was very happy with the work and the people, but the price seemed a bit steep to me.

Fernando came in time early in the morning and after giving the estimates started working right away to fix the minor problems. He was extremely efficient and he discovered a major problem with the main drain: several beer bottles were stuck way inside the drain; then he tried to put the snake in and that broke; so he called some one to bring the camera to look down inside the drain and they found beer bottles stuck way deep inside the drain; he could not fix the problem by himself, so then he called his supervisor Sixto, who came and they worked together all day to solve the problem. And they only charged for the original estimate, although they said that if they could not fix it, it would have cost thousands of dollars to break the side walk and fix it that way. We are extremely happy and grateful with their work; they were extremely creative to fix the problem, and very pleasant all the time.

THEY SENT TWO GUYS WHO HAD NO IDEA WHAT TO DO FIRST. THEY WERENT ABLE TO FIX IT. I HAD CALLED ANOTHER TIME FOR A DIFFERENT PROBLEM & THEY WERE RUDE, UNACCOMMODATING, & DIDNT NEED OUR BUSINESS.

"WE HIRED AN EXPERIENCED TECHNICIAN, COMPLETED APPROPRIATE TESTING AND BACKGROUND CHECKS. AFTER TWO WEEKS IN TRAINING THE TECHNICIAN WENT INTO A SERVICE TRUCK. THE MEMBER WAS ONE OF HIS FIRST CUSTOMERS. THE TECH DID NOT PERFORM AS ANTICIPATED AND A COMPLAINT WAS ISSUED BY THE CUSTOMER. OUR GENERAL MANAGER IMMEDIATELY RESPONDED TO THE CUSTOMER’S CONCERN. THIS WAS ON SATURDAY, 10/1. WE SENT ANOTHER TECHNICIAN OUT TO THE HOME AT A SPECIFIC TIME REQUESTED BY THE CUSTOMER, SUNDAY 10/2 9AM. THE TECHNICIAN PERFORMED APPROPRIATE WORK AND THE CUSTOMER STATED TO OUR MANAGER THAT HE WAS HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE PROVIDED. AS OUR POLICY DICTATES, WE DID NOT CHARGE THE CUSTOMER FOR THE ORIGINAL SERVICE AND GREATLY DISCOUNTED THE SUNDAY WORK, CHARGING ONLY $117.00 FOR MATERIALS AND OVER 6 HOURS WORKED. THAT EQUATES TO $19.50 PER HOURS, MATERIALS INCLUDED. I AM VERY SURPRISED TO READ THIS RATING. WE WORK DILIGENTLY TO INSURE OUR CUSTOMERS ARE MORE THAN SATISFIED AND WHEN WE DO ERROR WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND TO INSURE OUR CLIENT IS MORE THAN SATISFIED. I HAVE A CALL INTO THIS CUSTOMER AND I AM WAITING FOR A RETURN CALL. WE ARE NOT PERFECT BUT WE STRIVE TO BE. NO MATTER HOW HARD WE TRY, WE CAN STILL MAKE A MISTAKE. WE BELIEVE HOW THE ERROR IS HANDLED THAT SEPARATES US FROM OTHER SERVICE COMPANIES. AND BY-THE-WAY, THE ORIGINAL TECHNICIAN IN QUESTION WAS TERMINATED. EVEN THOUGH HE WAS EXPERIENCED AND HAD A LONG WORK HISTORY HERE IN SAN DIEGO, HE DID NOT MEET OUR COMPANY STANDARDS."

I UNFORTUNATELY DID NOT GET ANOTHER QUOTE. THIS MAN SAID THE LEAK ON MY LESS THAN FOUR YEAR OLD TOILET COULD BE REPAIRED BUT IT WAS NOT THE BEST CHOICE. MY OTHER MINOR LEAKS HE SAID COULD BE EASILY FIXED BY MY CHILD, "TO SAVE ME MONEY." I AM EMBARRASSED TO SAY I LET HIM PUT IN THE TOILET AS I HAD ALREADY TAKEN THE TIME OFF WORK TO MEET HIM AT MY HOME AND DID NOT WANT TO GO THROUGH THIS AGAIN. HE DID A VERY, NICE JOB ON PUTTING IN THE TOILET AND CLEANING UP. I WAS NOT COMFORTABLE WITH HIS SALESMAN PUSHINESS AND JUST WANTED TO GET THE JOB OVER WITH AND GET HIM OUT OF THE HOUSE.

WALTER ANDERSON COMPANY HAD PROVIDED GOOD WORK FOR ME PREVIOUSLY, SO WHEN MY NEW LEAK PROBLEM OCCURRED, I CALLED ON THEM TO FIX IT. THEY SENT OUT A VERY NICE YOUNG MAN NAMED NICK, WHO WAS OBVIOUSLY WELL TRAINED AND EXPERIENCED IN FIXING DIFFICULT PLUMBING PROBLEMS. HE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB, AND TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN THE WORK AS HE WENT ALONG. THE NATURE OF THE JOB WAS SUCH THAT I HAD TO COORDINATE WALTER ANDERSONS WORK WITH TWO OTHER CONTRACTORS AND THE WALTER ANDERSON FOLKS WERE ALWAYS VERY COOPERATIVE AND PROFESSIONAL. THEIR EMPLOYEES SHOWED UP WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD, WERE VERY POLITE AND CONSIDERATE OF MY PROPERTY, AND THEY ALWAYS CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. I SUPPOSE I COULD HAVE GOTTEN THE JOB DONE FOR JUST A BIT LESS MONEY, BUT, FOR THE COMPLEXITY OF THE WORK INVOLVED, I FEEL THAT I RECEIVED EXCELLENT VALUE FROM WALTER ANDERSON.

ESTIMATE FOR REPIPE WAS $5,500. ADDITIONAL COST INCLUDED PRESSURE BALANCE AND NEW FIXTURES FOR THE SHOWERS ADDED AFTER JOB BEGAN. THE JOB ENTAILED CUTTING 30-40 HOLES IN THE WALLS AND CEILINGS OF ALL ROOMS EXCEPT ONE BEDROOM, AND INCLUDED DRYWALL REPAIR AND PAINTING. I CANNOT EVEN TELL WHERE THE HOLES WERE. THE JOB TOOK A BIT LONGER THAN ESTIMATED BECAUSE ONE OF THE WORKERS WAS SICK FOR 3 DAYS. A FEW TIMES THEY WERE LATE SHOWING UP, BUT THEY ALWAYS CALLED FIRST. AS COMPENSATION FOR THE DELAY, THEY DID NOT CHARGE ME TO REPAIR SOME ADDITIONAL WALL DAMAGE NOT RELATED TO THE REPIPE. I AM COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH THE JOB AND GLAD I HAD THIS DONE BEFORE I HAD ANY MAJOR LEAKS AND DAMAGE. I BASED MY SELECTION ON REPORTS OF SATISFIED CUSTOMERS IN MY CONDO COMPLEX PRIOR TO JOING ANGIES LIST.

I WAS NERVOUS ABOUT THIS REPAIR BECAUSE THE DRYWALL NEEDED TO BE CUT OPEN TO ACCESS THE PLUMBING. THE TECHNICIAN CUT THE DRYWALL VERY NICELY AND I WAS ABLE TO SALVAGE IT TO REPAIR WALL. THE REPAIRMAN DID NOT RUSH THE REPAIR AND WAS INCREDIBLY PATIENT WHEN I ASKED QUESTIONS AS TO WHY THE PLUMBING HAD FAILED FROM A PREVIOUS COMPANYS REPAIR. THE CLEAN UP WAS EXCELLENT. HE TESTED THE REPAIR EXTENSIVELY PRIOR TO COMPLETING THE JOB. I WAS VERY HAPPY I CALLED WALTER ANDERSON AND WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.
