I was very pleased with the service and process.  I had multiple quotes from other vendors and they always attempted to sell me more than I needed.  Alex was very open and honest about what would be best for my situation.  I had been researching furnace/AC units and even asked about some of the higher end models to better understand some of the features.  He told me the added expense for more expensive models AirMaxx offered were not necessary in my situation.
The installer crew was very professional, friendly, tested the equipment and cleaned up when they were done.  I was very pleased with the overall experience.

They were horrible. I needed a tuneup done. The home is a vacant home and the owners were going to come back to it to stay there for a little bit and they asked me to have an air conditioning company and come through and do a tuneup on it just to make sure that the units were working and functioning properly so that they could run their air conditioning without worry. There are two units so when I called, I said to them that they need to make sure that both units are working properly. So they came out to do a tuneup. The first time they came out, they only just gave me a bid. He said to me that I do need a freon charge. I thought their pricing was a little high for the freon charge. All in all it was pretty expensive. I had him come back out a second time to do the work once I had the approval. I had a lock box code and he used the lock box to enter. When he is all done, he called me which I thought was really great. He said to me I am all done and I completed the work. He said everything is working great. So then I didn't go back to check to see how the air conditioning was working personally until weeks later. Unfortunately, no one was in the house during that whole time either and he left the air conditioning on. This ended up making major damage to this house. He left the air conditioning running the entire time and there was a problem up above where the coil is. He never went up into that area to check those portions of the unit. There was usually a secondary pan underneath the evaporator coils and in this home, there wasn't. It was leaking and because it was a rusted out pan, it just leaked all through the ceiling. And because it was running, the water was leaking for all those weeks. When I came over, the house was freezing cold and I immediately heard the air conditioning unit on. I went into the bathroom which was underneath this equipment and the entire ceiling, the insulation and everything had dropped down. The floor was soaked wet. It was a huge mess and it was so terrible. They had to rip out so much stuff in this house and they had to put drying equipment in there. Because it has been dripping for so long of time, mold had grown in there too. Through all of this, I communicated with the owner of Airmaxx and not one time did he accept responsibility for this. Although, I have a lock box code that shows that they entered. And, not only this, every time that I have called, he always wanted to give some other reason why it could have possibly happened. He even said to me these words: "Possibly, my tech didn't even go inside". He said that there is some way that they could have triggered it from the exterior. He went from making all these excuses until he finally got to the point where he said to me that he didn't even go inside. He is just a liar. He didn't want anything to do with it. So, we ended up filing a huge claims with our insurance company. The cost of everything was like $30,000 for something that was so miniscule because it was total negligence on this company's part. It was bad enough that they did that. Not only that, they didn't even send anyone out right away because I told them to come out to see for themselves what is going on. When the tech came back out, it was like a day and a half after I had found it. They didn't even make it a huge priority, which was another annoyance because at that time I was freaking out. The tech said to me that it was a rusted out evaporator coil that was up there. I said why didn't he check that area and he said that it is not a part of a normal tuneup. If the owner of that company had just been sincere to me and apologetic, I can understand. But, to completely outright lie. I will never ever work with them again.

The technician seemed to be a nice person. However, after examining the thermostat and going into the crawl space to examine the furnace, he misdiagnosed the situation. He indicated that there was a significant problem with the furnace, which would have led to a relatively expensive repair. Luckily, I had a someone from another company come out to look at the problem. Had I not had that second estimate, I would have spent far too much, and would have had something replaced that was not broken. I do not suspect malfeasance; most likely the technician simply made an error.

We had had another company come first who had said we needed a new thermostat, then they said we had a defective thermostat.  When it still was not working, we were told that we needed $750 worth of repairs.

Our neighbor told us they used Airmaxx, so we called him and they told us we did not need that $750 repair and that even if we did, the repair would just be $350.  All he needed to do was change the circuit board for $450.  So far the heater works great.

I had been considering converting my house to forced air heating over several years. After receiving bids from all of the big name contractors in 2011, I contacted Airmaxx this year for another estimate. Alex Gold provided the estimate. He was punctual, knowledgeable, and recommended the best solution for my needs. Airmaxx was notably lower in price, and by providing an attic installation, saved me the expense of building a furnace closet.
Based on their good reviews on Angie's List, the installation was completed a few days later. The crew was tidy, and very efficient. They actually brought in extra people that afternoon, and completed the installation in one day! The old wall heaters were removed and hauled away.
Everything works great. My thanks to the crew at Airmaxx for keeping the house warm during these cold winter nights.

I called Air Maxx to have someone come out to give me an estimate for a new wall furnace. The wall furnace I had was very old and a new one needed to be installed. I was scared to use the old one,it was that old.Alex Glozman came out to my home to give me the estimate. My appointment was at a certain time, but Alex was in the area so he called me and asked me if he could come alittle earlier.I said sure so he came right away.He spent alot of time explaining the installation, the cost, and the type of furnace I needed.I selected a Williams brand.I went with this company to install the new furnace because I felt very comfortable they were going to do the job right, and they did. What really impressed and convinced me to go with this company was the fact they were going to get permits to do the job.I had no idea permits are required to install a furnace.Alex was up front, and honest about the permits.I appreciated his honesty. On the installation day of the furnace, everything thing went smoothly. Two men arrived on time and got right to work installing it.Great teamwork these two men had in working together.I am sorry I didn't get there names. The new wall furnace fit perfectly once the old one was removed.I am so glad they did not have to tear into the wall to make it fit. After they were done one of the men explained how to operate the new furnace. They hauled the old furnace away and my house was left tidy.Airmaxx was my only estimate I got to do the job.I feel the price was fair and the inspection on the furnace went great .The inspector found no problems and everything was done to code when the inspection was done.Great job, and I have peace of mind knowing the furnace was installed correctly.I will use them again in the future, if the.need arises. Thanks again Airmaxx!

It was a fantastic experience, only spoiled by my Goggling the Rheem part number and found it on the internet for less than $40.00.  After calling for an estimate, the lady in the office said I would get a call from a technician who could give me an estimate within an hour & she would be able to schedule an appointment for Monday morning if I wanted.  In about 10 minutes Alex called me back, gave me an estimate $100.00 less than the one I had from Reliable, and when I said OK & I would call the office to schedule, he said he was in the area & could be at my home in about 15 minutes.  15 minutes later he arrived and 30 minutes later I had heat!   I guess it is lite the old joke: Receiving a bill for $100.00 from the plumber, the homeowner said, " $100! It only took you 10 minutes and you just replaced a washer! "  The plumber itemized the bill:  " one washer -- $0.01 + labor -- gratis + knowing which washer & where -- $99.99 "
Response from Airmaxx Inc

"Thanks for the review, and your candidness on the price of the part. Your joke was funny too. Of course we are providing a home service and there is a charge for that, as opposed to just buying online and doing yourself. It is great to hear that you pointed out we were still the best price between the contractors you looked at - that is what we strive for - that, and your happiness with our work! Cheers!"

Excellent telephone work during the initial contact. Person was quick, knowledegable, to the point, yet also personal. Was initially disappointed that the person who came out and gave us the estimate was not the person who showed up (on time) to do the work. There apparently were some difficulties with the connection between the newly installed pump and the outside condensor,so we called the office and the General Manager came out promptly and fixed the difficulty. A few days later we encountered a difficulty with regulatuing the temperature with the new installation, so we called again and the GM came out again promptly and re-cycled the system and cured the difficulty.
Their response was always to fix the issue ASAP and not never charge for the additional calls.I would call them again, any time, and would recommend them for their attitude and customer service sensitivity.

25 year old furnace was shut off by gas company after safety check found a crack in fire box. Angie's List and personal referrals were used to identify three contractors for estimates. Alex from Airmaxx was by far the best at clearly describing all the options for efficiency, noise, etc. resulting a  a mid range price. It was agreed to relocate the thermostat ant no added charge. A printed contract that included specific Carrier units from inventory was executed on the spot. Two installers came two days later [a Saturday] and competed everything including removals and cleanup in about seven hours. Airmaxx arranged for subsequent inspections required for the permit. Two days later a technician came within two hours of being called to silence a vibration noise from the a/c case. Entire effort was A++.

We received a complaint from our neighbor about the noise level of our air conditioner, which had been installed by AirMaxx 2 years ago.  I called them on Monday to take a look at the unit.  Gene arrived at our house within a few hours, evaluated the unit, and determined that it needed to have several parts replaced.  He ordered the parts and had them ready for installation the following day.  The A/C unit is now running as quietly as it was when it was first installed.  We are very happy with the responsiveness and the fact that all parts and labor were covered under their 10 year parts & labor warranty!  I would highly recommend this company!

A/C stopped blowing cold air. Airmaxx came and determined that the system was out of refrigerant. I asked what the risk of having a leak in the system was, and the response was that there was no way to find a leak until they refilled with refrigerant and the A/C stopped working again.
I decided to go for the refrigerant (it was the hottest week of the year). The system then only worked for few hours and it stopped blowing cold air again. I had kept another appointment with Guthrie and Sons who came and determined that the issue was with the external unit fan (which did not work overheating the entire system). I wish Airmaxx had told me instead of simply refilling with freon and making me waste $350.

AC unit not cooling. just blowing warm air. Unit outside was making a clicking noise. At 7pm talked with Frank by phone. He was amazing. Pretty much diagnosed the problem over the phone. Came to the house 25 minutes later. Replaced a capacitator, just as he thought. AC up and running, much appreciated with heat this week. 86 today. Thank you Frank. Will definitely call again.

Sergy was awesome diagnosing and fixing my nonfunctioning outdoor Carrier A/C unit.  Although the A/C was working when I purchased the house 10 months ago, it mysteriously stopped working since.  After checking the power supply and fuses, he opened the unit and found a dead mouse that had shorted out the conductor.  He was able to replace that right away, and also diagnose a problem with my Auto fan, and replaced transformer wires.  With my coupon and a courtesy discount over the mouse, the total came out to $295, and the entire fix took a fair amount of his time.  He was courteous, professional and friendly, and I will be sure to call him again for any future fixes.  Highly recommend!

I met with Alex Gold who discussed various options for replacing our nearly 20 year old furnace/ac unit. He described in detail all the options. At first I picked all the high end most energy efficient a/c unit and furnace, but after discussing it with my wife we decided to go with the basic model of everything. It ended up being more energy efficient regardless since our system was so old. I got 3 bids from other contractors and Airmaxx gave me the best deal. They only use Carrier products (our old furance/ac was Carrier) so we were happy with the brand.  The contractors arrived at 8am and finished by 2pm. Fast install, they hauled away all the  old ductwork and old furnace and A/C is running as i type this review. Much cooler than our 20+ year old system and all the ductwork is connected properly. I would highly recommend this company for A/C, furnace, and ductwork. They even vacummed and cleaned up afterwards!

Update 6/29/12:
I hired a company to blow in insulation in my attic. While in the attic, they informed me there was a 1/4" gap between the ductwork and one of the registers. They advised taping it up so I bought some foil tape for them to seal up the one register.
I called AirMaxx and spoke to Alex. He said the foil tape would work out fine. I'm a little annoyed that Airmax missed sealing up one of the ducts completely. Apparently the other 10 ducts are ok. So 10/11 = 91% still an A i guess... Bottom line- double check all the ductwork before sending them home!
Response from Airmaxx Inc

"Thank you for sharing this experience with us, particularly the follow up! We strive to provide perfection in our service, and apologize for missing that one duct. Please let us know if there is anything we can do!"

After getting quotes from three different companies, we decided to go with AirMaxx.  AirMaxx was the only company did a follow up phone call to answer any question we might have after our initial meeting.  Our Project Manager Yuri was very professional, knowledgeable, and nice.  He made this a very easy and painless process.  Never once did he try to sell us anything we did not need. I received an installation date and time.  The installation technicians, Anton and Sergei promptly arrived,. They were very nice, knowledgeable and took extra time to make my dogs feel comfortable with them being there. They also were meticulous as to not leave a mess.  I would recomend them to my friends and family.
