Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

All workers were extremely helpful and professional--explained everything and happy to have me watch the work whenever I wished. Company honored original bid even though found some issues not originally expected. (One reason we had accepted this bid over that of a competitor was that the supervisor had made it very clear that the bid was for all of the work to the main, and that if anything unexpected came up, they would cover it.) We have been using this Roto Rooter office (Concord, CA) for years for the annual root cleaning, and another reason we had accepted this bid was that we have always received prompt service from good people. Highly recommend this office.

The employees from Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service were knowledgeable, prompt. I called them with a major plumbing emergency and they were out within two hours while other companies were saying it would take them 6+ hours. The stayed until they had cleared things sufficiently so that I at least had plumbing for the weekend knowing that they would have to come back and install another drain which they did. They real exceeded our expectations. When they came to install the clean out in the yard they were very good with that. The guys were very clever and also ran a camera down the drains to see where the problems were.

Overall, the work was professional and quick. The worker started his job as soon as he arrived and after my husband told him the problem The organization itself was very professional, with an answering service that set up appointments. Definitely I knew this was Roto Rooter. Our family has used Roto Rooter services before and we were not disappointed this time. The workers are always pleasant to work with and they answer questions we may have knowledgeably. Also, there was a coupon in the new telephone book, so we were able to get $15 off workmanship. That was a great plus. The prices are competitive for the job. All in all my husband and I were very pleased and would definitely use this service again.

The experience was really good. When he told us that we needed a new one my husband asked if he had one on his truck and he said yes but that it was a really expensive one. He offered to go to the local home improvement store and pick one up since it would be less expensive. We agreed and he did, instead of selling us the more expensive one. He did the work, cleaned up and was polite. He went above and beyond to save us some money so we couldn?t be happier. His price was competitive.

Roto Rooter pricing was too high.

Very unsatisfying experience. The plumbers were very pleasant people but I'm not convinced as to their abilities at this point.

He was very professional and showed up on time. Despite a false start that was my fault, he quickly figured it out and cleaned out the line. I was very happy with the results.

I called the Concord Roto Rooter office and was given a same-day choice of appointments. The serviceman, Cody Price, arrived punctually, and I showed him where water had backed up into our basement laundry room and bathroom. He diagnosed the problem as being a clogged sewer pipe, something which had not happened to us before. Using our sewer cleanout, he ran a 4" blade 180 feet to the main sewer. The clogs were in the last portion. I could hear the water run freely as Cody freed the clogs. Afterward, Cody tested water in the house to make sure the problem was solved. He did a total cleanup around the outdoor worksite and was careful to wear protective coverings over his shoes whenever he entered the house. Cody was very patient and thorough in explaining the problem and showing me how he corrected the clog. He was extremely professional and courteous. I would definitely call this company again for future drain/sewer/plumbing problems.

They did excellent work. I would use them again. I had a clogged drain. They determined what the clog was and cleaned it out.

The one time I didn’t use Roto Rooter was the only time I had problems. I use them any time I need plumbing so I don’t even think about the price anymore.

We had a problem with our drainage and they solved it for us. They were good. We would recommend them to others. We were satisfied with their pricing.

First responder (on time) said that two people were required to do work through roof vent. Waited approximately one hour for second person to arrive. Ran snake through first roof vent and removed obstruction (roots near street). Clothes washer drain still obstructed. Told me that he would do the second vent for an additional charge, but would delete the charge since I was an old customer if I would consider tipping them. Did the work: I did not tip. I consider this sort of bargaining unprofessional. I think that $385 is over sufficient for approximately 1 hour of real work. I won't use this service provider again.

Early in the morning of the date when the event occurred, I went to take an urgent shower since I had an important meeting at office. I saw that the shower drain had clogged. I tried my drain snake and plunger but it was to no avail. I used a second bathroom in the house and rushed to work. On my way, I called Roto Rooter. They gave me a time schedule which was within 45 minutes of my call. The person came to my home promptly as promised, finished the work within half hour and left. I was impressed with the level of professionalism he showed.

They always do a great job and are wonderful to work with.

I didn’t hire them to reinstall the entire line. I felt that they had a predetermined understanding of what was possible. They were a little expensive, but they did what they said they would do. However, I didn’t feel good about hiring them for further work. They charged $400 for the clearing work.

We tried everything we could to self-diagnose and repair our outdoor underground run-off drain that deposits water to the street and into the city waste water system. This included removing tile, rocks and sand, and digging a hole; and cutting part of the PVC pipe out so we could get a straight shot through which to run our hose and an attachment device that sends really strong water pressure through the pipe. We first started with a snake running it from the street, and from our backyard. There was definite blockage but we couldn't find it or figure out why the standard tools (the aforementioned attachment device) weren't helping us. Finally we called in Roto-Rooter out of Concord. Service tech Adrian T. came out and provided superlative assistance in the way of a professional demeanor, great attitude, and focused labor so as not to waste time. He attempted to solve the problem using the same techniques my husband had tried, and then tried some new ones. He pinpointed a new spot where he dug a hole. After he found and solved the problem we decided to terminate his assistance at the point where we felt it was getting too expensive (at about $160 per hour). My husband felt he could do the final steps to put us back whole again. The important thing is that Adrian encouraged us not to let him go until he at least had solved the problem. And that he did. We are glad we took his advice. Before he departed he gave my husband a few pointers for finishing the job. We really appreciated everything that Adrian did. He is an excellent Roto-Rooter asset!

I use them all the time. They are very good. I don't recall the cost being too much and I used the coupon. When a lot of plumbing companies are really busy, they always seem to have a line open where you can get through and they can see you usually within a couple of hours. To me they are very reliable and always seem to have someone available.

In the beginning, there was a bit of miscommunication but eventually they took care of it. On the whole, everything went alright.

We did not get the job done by this company because they were much too expensive and would not negotiate even though we were repeat customers.

I found them to be very efficient and did an excellent job on the drain. Their price was seemed to be expensive to me, but the quality of their job was acceptable. I will use this company again in the future.

The service man spent a lot of time with us and was extremely helpful. He tried a number of possible options to find the persistant backup and made several suggestions about our problem. He was able to clear part of the plugged pipe. As a result of his help we were able to find the additional problem quite quickly and complete the fix ourselves after purchasing a new length of pipe.

The estimate, listed in Angie's List, as "free" is not, but costs $149 /one hour labor. And one phone receptionist said they have a " $149 hourly rate" and another told me "we price by the job",,,so there is too much pricing confusion with this company, Roto Rooter.

They came out when it was an emergency on a Sunday. The workers are ready to do anything except for snaking. They didn't want to do simple plumbing work. They were pretty expensive.

I've used this Roto Rooter twice. Once three years ago and this visit. They were able to come out same day. The two men that came to the house to perform the work were very professional, and work was completed in an hour or two. I think we paid a bit more for Roto Rooter, but I would definitely hire them again.

It was routine work. If needed, I might use them again.
