He arrived on time and had the issue isolated in less than 1/2 hour. The news wasn't good, since it turned out to be the main PC board that went out. But I was able to know that the TV wasn't worth saving since the cost of the board and labor was more than the TV costs.

Very satisfied. He was very quick in completing the repair and answered all questions. He was very appreciative for the business.

Mr. Sobhani came to my home the day after I called for an appointment. He took the back panel off of the tv and ran a diagnostic test. After just a few minutes, he determined the problem wasn't what the other technician told me. Instead, it was the main board was defective and wasn't worth repairing due to the high cost. In other words, the television was shot. Mr. Sobhani seemed to be more knowledgeable than the guy with the other company and was very honest about the problem. He even gave me some good advice on what to look for in purchasing a new television.

Tom came on time & was very professional and courteous. He got right to work. He had a gadget that told him which parts weren't working. He had those very parts in his truck and replaced them quickly. Then, when re-installing he hooked our cables up correctly - which was not done before. Now for the first time since installing the TV we can use our extra speakers!!

He was on time, early with the parts, and early and efficient with the final repair. He was polite, competent, and treated my wife (who has early stage Alzheimer's) with respect and dignity. Unlike others that we have had provide TV service, he put the TV back on its mount and placed it back on the wall, which i greatly appreciated. When we need other TV repair i will call him. i did forget to ask for a receipt and he did not provide it.

Initial visit: Repairman/owner arrived on time, and was very polite, efficient and professional. He was knowledgeable about televisions, as TV repair has been his only profession for many years. Charged $95 for the initial visit and diagnosis of the problems. Ordered the needed part for the repair. Revisit and repair: Part was received about 1 week later and the repairman/owner came out the same day and installed the part. The repair was very efficient and timely. The repair only took about an hour. He was very tidy and careful with the repair process. Part and repair service was $205. Well worth the cost for efficient and conscientious service. Just a note. Prior diagnosis by Geek Squad was incorrect in what needed to be replaced and were not able to get the parts needed. Par TV knew exactly what was needed.

He explained the connectors were incorporated into the TV screen. To replace the connectors meant you would have to replace the screen, a cost that would be more than the TV originally cost. So, he said he could add some filler material to push down on the connectors to make sure that the connections remained solidly connected. Very honest assessment and so far it has worked.

Overall excellent service, on time always called to let us know he was on his way, It took him only a short time to get everything done in and out in less than 1 hour.

The sound had gone out on my TV. The repairman tried to sell me a $200 - $500 fix for downloading and installing an upgrade to my software. ($200 if the upgrade worked & $500 if he had to replace the mother board if the upgrade didn't work. When I unplugged everything and plugged it back in, the sound actually came on before I started the upgrade so I don't even think it needed the upgrade was needed since the diagnostics I ran prior to calling PAR stated that I had the latest software version. His laptop wouldn't work initially so he had to fix it before he could do anything. I downloaded and installed the upgrade myself in minutes while he was here but he still charged me the $95 service call. I would not do business with PAR again.

Excellent service! I called at 830 in the morning and received a call back by 9:30. The appt was scheduled the same day with a two hour window. He arrived on time and got to work quickly. I have never has somone service a tv so quickly. It was exactly was he suspected and the cost was exactly what he had quoted me. He was in and out in 20 minutes taking care to clean the tv and rehook cable! Tom is very friendly and pleasant and a diligent worker. I will absolutley use this provider again and refer business to him.

The lamp on our TV blew this morning, and I was looking for a replacement. I've done this before, so there was no need for a service technician; I was just looking for a part. A Google search came up with PAR. The website doesn't indicate that they only do service calls, but does state that they carry replacement parts. I figured it was worth a call. My conversation with them, verbatim (after an unintelligible greeting from whoever picked up the phone there): "I'm looking for a replacement lamp for a Sony TV." "We don't sell replacement lamps. Thank you. Goodbye." And *click*. No personality, no interest in seeing if I wanted a service call, no opportunity for me to ask if they knew of anyplace to get said part, no offer of same. Went to Amazon, ordered for next day delivery from another vendor.

Provider was punctual and professional. During initial visit, he determined that a part was bad. When he returned to install the replacement part, he determined that a second, important part was also defective. This was not surprising, as the TV was years old and was on constantly. Provider suggested that it would be less expensive to purchase a new TV, rather than repair. He did not charge for return trip and work.

Excellent service visit. Arrived on time, diagnosed TV. Attempted software installation, but main board is fried. Offered replacement, but cost exceeded value of TV.

12/24/14: We have a 60" Mitsubishi TV which is 12 years old. We wanted to keep it, if possible, because we have always been happy with it. Tom arrived to service the TV on Christmas Eve afternoon so my family would have it operational for Christmas. I have used PAR TV Services before, and Tom has always been the responder and performed the necessary repairs himself. He is polite, efficient, responds quickly, and does excellent work. He has "resuscitated" this TV twice now, and since the last service call our 60" works as good as new. I highly recommend Tom for his superior work and professional attitude.

The technician was right on time. He performed the diagnosis and gave me a cost to repair. He came with all the necessary parts to complete the project.. He finished within 2 hrs and did all the setup and made sure all the functions worked properly. Re-positioned the tv and gave an explanation of the services he performed and cleaned up all the material.

The first TV repair company I called said the earliest they could come was 5 days away. I called Tom and he said he'd be there in a half hour. And he was. He was friendly and goodnatured, but still very focused on the job. Turns out the tv just needed a hardware reset. He was in and out within 6 or 7 minutes.

Had contacted this company after seeing his info online from Angie's list. After reading a number of positive Angie's list for this company, I decided to call them for an estimate. Tom was very informative and upfront about his service. He gave me enough info and assurance over the phone that I decided to have him come out and fix my 10+ year old rear projection tv. He was very pleasant and professional and he did the job as promised. Even though I did not like the costs of repair, it was an unavoidable market price repair. With the cost of tv getting cheaper and cheaper these days, I am not sure if repairs are really worth it any more. Nonetheless, thank you Tom for fixing our family TV!

I called the number and he was able to come out the same day. He was prompt, diagnosed and fixed my problem quickly. He explained everything clearly and also helped me with the picture view on my tv.

I called Tom the previous day and set up an appt for the following day at 3:00 p.m. Tom was punctual and very professional. He inspected the TV and within a matter of minutes had the TV back on. He definitely knows his way about TVs and their components. He gave me a great and helpful lesson in old TVs versus new TVs and their circuitry and how everything works together. He was very patient with me as I asked various questions. I was VERY happy to have the TV working because, after all, it will soon be Superbowl weekend!

Quickly detected the problem. I elected to not pursue repair due to age of TV, cost of repair, and whether parts would be available. I plan to have this company install my new TV and connect it to my existing cable service.

He was able to come out the same day and had it done within a half hour. He cleaned all the dust and adjusted my settings.
