drain cleaning
 + -1 moreJob 1: These guys were great! I called at 8 am and was told they could come out the same day. When I asked when, because I had to get to work, they said they could come right away. They were there by 8:30 and started to work immediately. After 45 minutes they were gone and my drain was completely clear. I was lucky because they were returning from another job and my house was right on the way. Still, it was gratifying to not have to wait hours for someone to show up. The first place I called (from Angie's List) said it would be two days before they could come but they did give me the phone number for PHD Plumbing. Anyway, what could have been a big hassle turned out to be relatively painless. That was certainly worth the money. Job 2: Considering it was a Saturday, they were out within 45 minutes. The problem was fixed within 30 minutes. A good experience all around.
Description of Work: Job 1: My kitchen sink drain was clogged with standing water. Work consisted of rootering the pipes beneath the house. All the work was performed outside at the access pipe. Afterwards, they cleaned up any mess and hosed down the walkway.($125.) Job 2: Toilet was not working properly and was clogged. They came out, cleared the clog and replaced some parts.($150.)

 + -1 morePHD was the former home owner's plumber, so when I moved in I started by calling them. Plumber showed up, diagnosed problem, realized he had to work behind the wall so hammered holes in it (although I asked if I could get him a saw), which he never even offered to fix. Couldn't even swear creatively, kept using the same swear word over and over and over.
Description of Work: Replaced cutoff valves under sink, which required a small amount of re-piping.

 + -1 moreTHEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND VERY PUNCTUAL - THEY ACTUALLY ARRIVED EARLY!!! HE CAME RIGHT IN AND WENT TO WORK IMMEDIATELY - HE WAS CAREFUL TO NOT MAKE A MESS, AND WAS HONEST ABOUT THE PROBLEM. IT ENDED UP NOT BEING THE LEAK THAT I HAD THOUGHT. I WAS CHARGED FOR A 1/2 HOUR OF LABOR AND A SERVICE CHARGE. I THOUGHT THIS WAS TOO EXPENSIVE SINCE NO WORK WAS ACTUALLY DONE.
Description of Work: THEY CAME OUT AND TOOK A LOOK AT A WATER STAIN/ LEAK I HAD IN THE CEILING OF A FIRST FLOOR OFFICE.

 + -1 moreTHE PLUMBER ARRIVED ON TIME WITH NO PROBLEMS - VERY PUNCTUAL! HE DETERMINED THE PROBLEMS PRETTY FAST AND LEFT TO GO PICK UP PARTS/SUPPLIES. HE RETURNED SHORTLY AND FINISHED THE JOB TO MY SATISFACTION. HE DID A GOOD JOB.
Description of Work: I HAD 2 TOILETS THAT WERE NOT FLUSHING PROPERLY. ONE YOU HAD TO HOLD THE HANDLE DOWN, AND THE OTHER YOU SIMPLY COULDN'T FLUSH.
