I contacted Suzie when my world was upside down. My mom had just died and my bookkeeper for the past 12 years ended her employment with very little notice. To say I was in a panic is a understatement. When I talked to Suzie over the phone (I had also contacted another company) I knew this was who I was going to trust with my company. From the very first visit she was determined to do things the right way she took the time to learn how we did things and then put her expert accounting hat on and went to work.At first she worked to get me caught up and now she is (I hope ) a forever person that works for me once a week.
"Thank you so much for taking the time and giving me such a nice review.. I look forward to a lasting relationship with you and P&M Mechanical!"
Suzie recommended that I purchase the QuickBooks software for my computer and she came to my home to set up the chart of accounts for me. There are rental properties in the trust as well as several small bank accounts and all transactions for the year needed to be entered in order to gather the necessary information for the accountant and my required annual report to the beneficiaries of the trust. Suzie entered ALL transactions with a keen eye for detail. She made sure that the check register entries matched up with the bank statements and, when they didn't, gave me specific "homework" to track down discrepancies. She also has given me several good tips on things such as making my check register entries very specific about what the expenditure was for. Throughout, she also has shown me how she is doing the entries in QuickBooks so that I can understand it and will be able to make entries myself in future.
We have just a little more work to do to get all records ready for the accountant so he can do the tax returns. Suzie is very knowledgeable about how to do this work and I am very confident that we will have everything the accountant will need. She offered to talk to him directly to coordinate their work and that was very helpful. It is a pleasure to work with her and I am planning to continue calling on her for help as I get deeper into this responsibility. I recommend her with complete confidence.

Suzie came in and got right to work with little watch care. She was able to assimilate quickly and seamlessly, and as she combed our fiscal year, she had questions regarding the categorizing of specific expenses. We would briefly discuss it as she wanted to be certain things were expensing correctly and found numerous occasions where our accountant had mis-categorized items.
The main partner in the firm was so pleased that Suzie is now handling the attorney's personal bookkeeping. She has numerous clients who have a certain amount of wealth and is able to handle their books confidently and very confidentially.
Suzie is down to earth and fun yet efficient. She was able to set everything up and get a lot completed in the first six hours she was here.
We are continuing to use Super Suzie's services!

quarterly and/or providing her with a clear itemized Profit and Loss sheet to reference for completing the tax return.
Thanks to Suzie's outstanding work--a new paradigm is now in place! After being coerced by my accountant, then checking out at least half a dozen other prospects, I spoke with Suzie. Within five minutes I was 90% convinced that she'd be hired. We met for lunch the next day and by late afternoon she had access to my accounts. I prefer to operate by trust--your word, handshake and a gut feeling. Just say what you mean, do what you say and spare me the canned sales pitch please! She immediately struck me as genuine, fair and someone passionate about the business she created for herself--then proceeded to walk the talk!
I'm the sole "officer" in my small S-corporation and only hire independent contractors. I also have a separate small d/b/a that's under my name. I'm awful at the bookkeeping stuff, and for years have basically relied on my bank to balance the checkbooks while the accountant did the rest. Along with the exorbitant additional monies paid to my accountant, I'd grown to accept state and federal tax penalties and the regular conversations with their agents as being business as usual. Feels great to say that's history! Now there's order in the books, my accountant is happier, I'm actually submitting estimated payments to the taxman (and no longer on a first-name basis with agents), there's more money in my pocket, and a much greater peace of mind to abide ? Thank you Super Suzie!
Peace & Vitality,
Eric
"Hi [member name removed] , I wanted to thank you for such a nice review. Clients like yourself is the reason why I started my own company. It's nice to be recognized when you put so much time and energy to help others. I hope to hear come you soon! Suzie"
Suzie's been working for us for about a year and a half and continues to do a great job for our business. We find her reasonable at $40/hour.
November 15 meeting: We scheduled our first meeting for November 12. She postponed to November 15 by text. She was about one hour late. She took a USB drive with all my Quickbooks information during this meeting and I gave her most of my account information so that she could go directly into my banks as she needed. Before she got started, she asked me via email twice for a great review on Angie's List. I told her that I cannot review someone before the service is completed. We then tried to meet several times (she knows my schedule - I cannot leave my store during store hours) and it was almost impossible.
November 29 meeting: she came in to drop off what she had started on her USB. At this point, I was supposed to put in my inventory and then she would come to the store to finish all of 2012 the first week of January. After telling Suzie several times about the parking lot where she could leave her car and not worry about a ticket, she parked in the meters out front. She came in, put the updated USB drive of Quickbooks back in my system and left. She said she would be back first week of January. She also told me that I needed to pay her the $400 because she had started with the work. So I paid.
January 10, 2013 meeting: this meeting was a disaster. After I called, emailed and texted Suzie to set up the meeting we set a meeting for January 10 at 11am. Suzie was over 3 hours late and parked in front of the boutique. She knew about the free parking structure but instead took money out of my customers' "Meter Money" jar to pay for her car and had me go out there several times (costing me $9.00). She was having issues downloading my statements into Quickbooks. After we both tried several times, she found out some line items were marked more than once. The accounts could then not be reconciled. She was treating me so poorly and trying to place blame on me so badly, that my co-worker thought that she was a family member because I had been so patient with her. At the end of the day, after staying at the boutique until 8pm and after a meeting with my CPA and reviewing with him what she did on my Quickbooks, here are my notes:
1. she made too many mistakes such double marking payments to my credit card. She had a "suspense" account where she put in what she did not understand (makes sense). However, she also had all kinds of misc. charges (including inventory) added to my Expenses.
2. she became rude during our last meeting and the last conversation we had
3. she did not follow a simple instruction (parking) - to her defense, she said she never expected that we would take so long or that I had so many journal entries, but she could have moved her car.
4. she came into the last meeting unprepared (without her laptop... I was left to clean the store the entire time she was here)
5. she has little regard for clients' time - she was often late or changing appointments
6. she was too quick to ask for a good review and too slow to finish her job (she had promised 2012 and we are ending January 2013)
7. it should be noted that she said she has not finished my books. So maybe some of the mistakes noted above would have been fixed
8. on a lighter note: $400 would have been an AMAZING price had she done what she promised. She seemed so sweet and personable at the beginning. I am hoping I just met her during a bad few weeks.
"Dear customer : To be completely honest with you, my breath was taken away while reading your review on the services that I provided. While I disagree with most of your comments, you are absolutely “spot on” that $400 would have been a great deal! It’s true that had I met all of your expectations that would be an amazing price. Looking back this was an example of poor communication between us. I came away from our initial conversation with an objective that was miles away from what you expected and for that I apologize. For me, I’m going to chalk this up as an opportunity to learn from. For all of your other comments, I’m speechless. Its so foreign to read your words describing me as the service provider and person that I pride myself so highly and my clients love. Let me just say that once I realized we were miles apart, I approached the scope of the work as an investment, not only to win your business but to also provide you with a great experience. As you mentioned, you had a poor experience with your prior bookkeeper and I wanted to reverse your perspective. I also felt that this would be a great opportunity to expand my knowledge in retail and inventory. As you remember, when we first spoke I stated that I did not have that experience and we agreed that it was something that I would pick up over time while working with you, your books and your CPA. The meeting you scheduled with your CPA was never communicated to me and I never represented that the books were complete or even close to being ready for the CPA to review. You call various entries mistakes, they may have been in suspense or miscellaneous because I still had questions or I was waiting for statements. As you know December statements typically arrive in January and much of the yearend information was still outstanding at the time of your meeting with your financial advisor. Coming from the South Bay into Hollywood, traffic is so difficult to gauge. I did however, text or call when I was delayed and you were always very gracious and understand. So I’m surprised at the tone of your review. I’m sorry that we were not able to work out a professional relationship and I wish you much success in the future with your business."
Suzie is enthusiastic and full of energy. The room lights up when she walks through the door to start work and we all look forward to her weekly visit. As best laid plans tend to change, she is flexible, innovative and motivated to do whatever it takes to get the job done. She is confident and hardworking. Suzie was instrumental in rolling up her sleeves to assist us in setting up our new entity, assisting with our banking needs and establishing a work flow that made sense. She created our New Company on Quickbooks and developed a Chart of Accounts that matched our bookkeeping requirements. As I mentioned above, I can be running out the door at a moments notice and Suzie is extremely comfortable holding down the Fort! I have found her to be resourceful, self-directed and results oriented.
For daily, non accounting needs, our Company has an office assistant and Suzie has been instrumental in supervising, coaching and guiding her as well. Always available to answer a question or look over a transaction, proof read a document or offer support. With Suzie?s organization and set up talents, she has evolved into a regular weekly visit providing consulting services on daily activities needed to run our business and quality control, and of course the ever present accounting and financial needs.
Thank you Suzie!
"Thank you customer for the wonderful review. It's been a pleasure working with you and your staff."
Her work has been excellent and I continue to use her on an ongoing basis.
She charges $40.00 per hour.
I own a small law firm, and she usually comes once a week and does bookkeeping, invoice collection, filing, purchasing of supplies, and shipping of legal files.
I use Quickbooks, and she is very familiar with that system.
She has also helped organize the office.
"Thank you Member for your review. I know we just started to work together, but I will be dedicated to help you in anyway I can and thank you for being so flexible with my schedule."
