Very happy with the service, dropped of the Bissell on a Sunday and picked it up on a Wednesday. Got some great advice on what to do and not do when cleaning the carpet. Followed their advice and it made a world of difference. They will be my first stop if this unit or vacuum every need repair or servicing.
Description of Work: Service and repair on our Bissell ProHeat carpet cleaner.

After another two weeks passed I was unable to reach them. (They had a recent fire that knocked out power and phone.) Finally I reached Selma. She said the part would arrive Monday and they would have my machine ready . When I picked it up September 18, they had not fixed the presser foot, but gave me a used one with no explanation. The power was still out and I could not examine my machine thoroughly in the dark. When I unpacked it Thursday I found some tools in the case that I have never seen before, marks on the case and dust. The machine had some chips and mars on it that were not there before and it was very dirty, dusty, dark grease streak across front. I cleaned that off so that I could sew the project I needed. I called Selma twice. The first call she told me the part was too expensive so they gave me a used presser foot. The second time, when I questioned her about the tools and the chips, and glitter glue in the case, she said they were there when she got the machine. When I took the machine back on September 25 to discuss this confusion, she told me they don't make those presser foots anymore and you can't get the parts. She contradicted herself three times about the presser foot. She said she delivered the machine to her technician herself and that he has had major surgery and that he is trustworthy. Originally, Monument Sewing never told me that the machine would not be serviced on the site. I have no way of knowing where it went. I told her she should have left me a message explaining the change in plans regarding the presser foot. I told her I am not sure I even got back my own machine. My machine, though very old, was in pristine condition. She said I probably put the chips in it when I put the case on. WRONG! If you take your sewing machine in or service at any repair shop, be sure to unpack it and have them write down any marks or flaws, like when you inspect a rental car before taking it. Engrave your identification somewhere on it, and keep your original bill of sale. ALWAYS ask if the service is done on site. These are things I did not do and now I regret it because it is my word against hers and I have no proof. The whole experience was very suspicious and upsetting. My advice is, go elsewhere and follow my suggestions above.
Description of Work: August 24, 2012 I asked Monument Sewing and Vacuum Center to diagnose why my machine was locking up on me and also to please service, set timing, etc. After one week they called and diagnosed my sewing machine as needing a new part for the presser foot and they would order the part. See below for a full description of how that went.

The service they provided was great and it took less than a week. They did a lot of work on the machine. They have a nice warranty with it. It is a mom and pop business, and he does all the work himself right there. I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I went to Monument Sew & Vac Center for sewing machine repair. I turned in the machine, the electronics on it were broken plus there were other things wrong with it. They repaired everything and upgraded one section of it.

Very nice and helpful. I will definitely return.
Description of Work: The belt was broken on my 10 year old upright Eurekea vacuum. I took the machine in and the guy stopped what he was doing and fixed it on the spot.
